My shift started slowly and uneventful and after a round through the town I took up post at the gate.

Lady Moiraine was in town and trying to coax something out of the Sheriff that was sent from Britain, but he stayed with his previous answers about Ricardo and that he must have complices.

She also informed us that Covians are banned from town and that we should take their names when escorting/throwing them out.

Lady Moiraine asked us then to accompany her to look for Ricardo's scoundrels and I complied, forgetting about those portals she normally uses.

We took a magik portal to Buccaneers Den, but I did not feel well after the magik travel to help looking around. Something on that island also bit me and I felt nauseous and had to sit down.

They did the searching of the island without me and as I did not feel better after they returned and wanted to return to Trinsic with a magik portal I decided to take the moongate rather than get myself even sicker.

Returning to Trinsic, Iljian gave me some potions and I got some herbs from the healers and returned to the gate.

At the gate there was some commotion and I saw the body of the Kaldorian Kurgan on the ground and Kai standing with Kurgan's severed head besides him.

Kai claimed that Kurgan asked him for single combat and just lost.

As Lady Soulshadow had just arrived and my headache got stronger I asked if she could handle it and just reported the incident to Lady Moiraine.

Lady Abhorsen then came and claimed that she could help with the ghost problem and I offered to pay her thousand gold if she could save the problem.

Feeling awful I went home and slept terribly only to awaken today and reporting that I need at least today off to get well again.

I was quite sick yesterday and only came to the gates for a short time to report that I would need more time to get better and also to get out a little again as the ceiling of my hut grew too boring.

John reported that a Covian had been arrested the previous day and was beeing held in a cell.

Seems more people got ill with the same sickness and the town was pretty quiet and as I did not feel well I left after a short visit.

I felt better today and went back on duty, with only a slight running nose and found the town busy and peaceful.

I got news that Sir Lyim and Lady Phaedra spend their time in Tokuno at the moment with their newborn child they called Hazel.

It seemed though as if this is supposed to be a secret and word should not be spread about.

Sir Raven informed us that Thaur Macil is wanted for mugging two women and should be apprehended without violence if possible.

I was also appointed to be sergeant by Sir Raven, though I think Iljian would be a better sergeant and more competent.

Sir Ikus came to town with a new serving maid from Vesper called Gia. She was sentenced to help in the household of his Sir Ikus and seemed not too happy about it.

Kiri insisted to cast magik at me and so I had to shoot an arrow skimming her behind to remind her to stop it. I think I need to let her do some running or anything else to keep her energies for nonsense down.

The elven people and some of the guards organised another caravan with help and this time they went to Yew with their provisions.

I stayed in town to renew some records and licenses and consider new fees for the buildings, as I am not a healer and could not help them there effectively.

They returned later on reporting heavy fighting and both sides claiming that they won. Aelred also got beaten up by one or the other side accidentally, but he seemed to be quite fine.

Pierre informed me that the drow Katyana and the half drow Keina are under his protection as other drow try to get to control her. We are also asked to look out for the two and try to keep them out of the other drows influence and troubles.

Imrae hopefully talked to the two drow under Pierre's protection and hopefully can influence them and give them some reassurances

Sir Ikus came later and after asking him who is responsible for payment he paid me two thousand gold of my missing salary.

The guards have not been paid for almost two months now and many are broke and their money reserves are running out.

We don’t want to end like Yew who fill their coffers by taxing people I hope and also often enrich their guards who hardly get paid and resort to street robbery!

Some madman ran shouting through the town insulting people and that the end was nigh. I had to hit him slightly with my sword to coax him out of the town and I think it helped that he insulted the drow Jhaniera as filth and got another hit from her to convince him to look for something safer to shout at, like a tree or so.

It seems the scoundrel Ricardo has been caught and is in cell four awaiting to be shipped to Britain on the councils command. They got a watchdog to guard him and the dogs howling is so terribly that I considered to shoot it with an arrow to make it stop.

Vernon Hunter came and asked if he could rent the inn, but I had to tell him that he has to wait until the end of the month, but that I would put him on top of the list.

Tiggarn reported that Jhelom had been under attack by monsters and a golden dragon, but that the Jhelom citizens and guards brought all of them down in the end.

As I started my shift the town was peaceful and Iljian that was already on duty reported that all was quiet and that I could make a patrol to the Rose.

On my way to the Rose I met Cecil and together we laughed at the green pothead statue of Samson.

At the Rose we met some other people and Cecil was in a merry mood and decided that it was my birthday and drew a nice picture of me and parrots.

Upon hearing this the tavernkeeper gave us two big cakes as birthday present and we took the rest we did not eat with us to town and gave it to the others at the gates.

Sir Elion asked about shared training’s again and I said that I would tell the captain about it and that it nay should be a problem to start training again.

He also told me that Lady VanQa had been kidnapped and her whereabouts unknown, but that Iglata was behind all it.

Claire has “found” some farm animals from somewhere and was trying to sell them in town, but after I asked her where she got them and that she should return them, she quickly left town.

It seems the healer guildmaster is a drunkard as he spends all of his day at the tavern, so we should look to hire a new one before any accidents happen.

The town crier shouted something about a meeting in Britain and as I wanted to head there I looked for Iljian so he could take over my shift patrolling the town.

While looking for Iljian talon and two other drow Jhaneira and Sirendele ran through town fighting each other. I nay could catch up to them, but found the two drow afterwards complaining to me that talon attacked them, just because they insulted a child.

As no one was serious hurt I told them to get their wounds dressed and to nay behave like babies until I find out the truth why they fought and sent them on their way.

Talon later stated that the two drow attacked the child and wanted her to come with them and so Talon defended the child and the fight started.

If any guard sees Jhaneira inform her that she is not supposed to talk to any of the children nor to approach them. If she is seen doing so after getting warned, throw her out of town for that day and nay need to be gentle.

I found Iljian at his usual spot with a drow I did not recognise, but after lots of questioning Iljian confessed that it was the wanted drow Aly’riia who ran upon me trying to capture her.

It seems Aly’riia is blackmailing Iljian as he stated as long as he does the drow’s bidding Liana is safe.

Iljian accompanied me on the rest of my patrol but at the tavern he recognised Sirendele as the one that had kidnapped him and that she was still wanted. Upon confronting her she and her companion fled the town to the moongate where we lost their trail.

Iljian was confident that he could guard the town alone and I headed to Britain to check out what the town crier was shouting about, but the throne room was empty and it seems it was old news.

I returned to town to find it quiet except a few visitors and we chatted friendly until my shift as over and I let the paladins take over the rest of the night.

Sorry that this letter may arrive a little late as I could not find a messenger to deliver it to Trinsic and so sent it with a boat heading to Trinsic from Skara Brae.

Due to a letter Iljian found at the Trinsic jail, that stated that some ransom money would have to be delivered to crossroads, I questioned his Grace’s servant Fitzpaine.

Fitzpaine stated that the Duke had gone to Spiritwood over a week ago, looking for a certain Michael and had already missed several reports.

So me and sergeant Orson quickly headed to Spiritwood and asked people there, but no one could tell us about his Grace, or his whereabouts.

Sir Orson returned to Trinsic then while I will head to Skara tomorrow and look for any traces of his Grace.

I can be reached at Skara Brae tavern, just hand it to the tavernkeep Orrson there and I will get it.

If I do not find any sign of his Grace today I will return to Trinsic and hope that his Grace has returned safely in the meantime and that the letter was a fake.

Something I need to add is, be careful in Trinsic as some Covians attacked citizens yesterday and also some others posed as Kaldorians, also attacking people.

I returned to Trinsic today after finding nay sign of his Grace and heard that the others also nay had found any sign of his Grace.

Some person called Vermann or so from haven complained about the Duchy that we discriminate ninjas and other people by demanding to see their faces. Our Captain had a good laugh and put the book away after glancing through and dismissing it.

Thaur was fined a fine for thousand gold for his crimes, which he promptly paid and he is free to walk the town again. The Captain nay seemed to happy with that, as seemingly one of the women that was robbed was his wife, but as I guess it was rather a prank than a robbery and Liana agreed to it this fine seemed appropriate.

Aelred and others then returned with good news that Iglata had been caught and VanQa been rescued, though VanQa was in nay too good shape and was treated at the healers. Iglata was searched and put into the cell besides Ricardo and Sir Elion insisted to guard the celldoor personally day and night and I agreed to it.

Lady Reann and Sir Elion agreed to set a date for the trial tomorrow and also to interrogate him then. I think the elves should have a word about the judging as their community was hurt most from that person. Though I think that Lady Reann will get a solution that will satisfy the elven community and be juste.

As Aelred was with the party that rescued VanQa I asked him to file a short report on it, but from what I heard they found a map and were led to a cave with dragons in it from where they rescued VanQa from.

Town was quite busy and except some crazy Lady that whose hand was possessed and she claimed that it was the hand that made her do evil things, the town was peaceful.

Feeling tired from the travelling I asked to be excused and let Alusair take over the rest of the night.

Yesterday after my patrol through the town a peasant reported seeing undead at the moongate. So I called the other guards John, Kamar, Natalie and the Kaldorian Talon to the Moongate to check it out.

Upon arriving there we saw that it was a mess with body parts and other things littering the ground and the undeads walking around. We engaged them and managed to destroy them, but John and Kamar were hurt and had to spend some time at the healers.

John lost his key and went then to the Tinkers to get the locks changed and new keys will be issued out to all guards again.

Natalie informed us then that Iljian and Lance managed to find his Grace and brought him to rest to Lady Quaintly, who will look after him.

Vie inquired about his Grace and seemed relieved when we could tell her that he was fine.

Vernon Hunt asked for a license to the tavern or any other building, but I had to tell them that I would give the old rents a last chance to update their licenses.

Lady Miranda got a Trading License for smithing goods and she also can engrave weapons and things and I will add a copy of it here.

Today was very quiet and my shift was quite uneventful. Lord Isidore dropped by and said that he would take over payment the guards, though Sir Ikus later on seemed concerned that our young Lord may not manage.

Talon reported that the undeads are still about and haunt the local moongates for victims and that their base is near Yew at the crypts. I bet the deads find nay peace because the yewish militia taxed them to death and they want revenge for that.

Rest of the shift was quiet and uneventful, except that Sir Ikus made the threat to prepare a lecture on the virtues which most of us have to attend.

First day duty after my nightshift one and I was a bit tired when I got on duty, but the town was pretty quiet and Natalie and John had everything well under control.

They both made a patrol to the Rose and Moongate to see if everything was fine while I stood guard at the gate and spend a rather peaceful shift there.

Lady Moiraine came by and reminded me to tell that the children Keina and Katina are under the Duchy protection and reminded us that we all should look out for them.

Sir Talon later asked if the two children could become Duchy citizen for their protection and I think it would be for their benefit and also lady Imrae could easier watch over the two then as well. So I ask that the two children be granted citizenship of Trinsic with all its duties and obligations.

Lady Moiraine informed me that all Milo Blitz buildings will be renewed and we talked about renting out the tavern and agreed that if, then at a trial basis and for starters only for a few days to a week and under certain conditions.

Today was a happy day for Natalie and john as Isidore paid their wages and all other guards are asked to look him up for their wages too.

A man called Kage looked for work and I hired him at the tavern for 50 gold an evening and also if needed as scribe and help for his Grace and others when needed, for extra pay.

Vernon hunter rented the tailors and we will talk about renting the tavern and about the extra terms tomorrow.

Town was quiet and except Thaur being threatened by a small dog, the town was quiet and peaceful so I left Thaur to fend for himself and went home.

His Grace returned today to Trinsic and he looked quite well, though still had to support himself with a walking stick when walking.

He asked us guards and others to assist him to Spiritwood where we would continue to look for a man called Michael.

So John, Lance and me some elves,Lady Gwyn Quaintly, Keina and Eike went to Spiritwood which we found pretty quiet and so we went to the university tower.

Upon entering it some sort of daemon attacked us, but it quickly fell under our blows and we secured the tower then.

His Grace and the others then searched the tower for hints and found some in a book which was about a white Lady in the icy lands.

The party left then through a magik portal to that place and as I nay like that gate I returned to Trinsic to guard the town.

Lady Gwyn Quaintly took over the lease of the jeweller which her sister had owned before and Vernon Hunter the tailors shop and I added copies of the licenses to the report.

All was quiet and nothing out of the usual to report in town until my shift is over.

Thank you all for coming!

Rest of my shift was quiet and uneventful and I am glad that I have the next day off to rest and enjoy some time with my love.

Kaelyn

Sorry it seems my last reports got lost somewhere, though maybe they just got thrown away as there was nothing to report.

Except that Eike stole a sash from Kai and is wanted for that it was fairly quiet.

Todays duty would have been the same except for some big bald brute with a huge mace that refused to disarm or leave town and hurt me and another innocent citizen by attacking us. He claims to be someone called the invincible or something similar Raul and was bald and in red armor and wielded some huge maces.

Lady Moiraine and the healers tended mine and the other woman’s, whom I still don’t know anything about but she fought very well, wounds.

Lady Moiraine’s medicine as terrible as it tastes, helped and I could leave the healers walking on my own two feet again.

I paid Liliana her salary for her sevices as help at the tavern and have included the note to the report.

*a note is included to the report*

Paid Liliana for services to the Duchy on the 18 October the amount of 77 gold.

Kaelyn

*another note is added*

I am sorry to tell your Grace that I was robbed after collecting the gold for one of the buildings rent and the assailant escaped with the gold.

I wrote about it in the last report but have noted it down in the trading records.

As it was my fault the gold was lost I will understand when the gold will be deducted from my salary.

Kaelyn

Found Eike and questioned him about the sash he stole from Kai and he admitted that he had returned it, though Kai did nay seem satisfied with it.

So I set Eike to get something nice to Kai, else we will sentence him to stocks and I am sure Kai would take some revenge on that.

Rest of my shift was pretty, though I have concerns about John and asked Lady Moiraine to check up on him.

Today some strange people were wandering through the town and as Iglata was to be questioned by Lady Moiraine and Iljian, we took extra care by checking people.

It seems the questioning went quite smoothly but John was attacked on one of his patrols at the southgate and barely managed to get to the healers for treatment.

Iljian and me checked south but nay found a sign of the man, though it seems the brigand had had a run in with some other people and had to flee.

It seems John was more hurt than we thought and he had to stay at the healers by Lady Moiraine’s orders, as she also wanted to check up on him more thoroughly next day.

Kaelyn

WANTED

Ugly big bald brute, about 6 foot high and wearing most probably red iron armor.

His supposed name is Raul and he is most likely ugly, with a scarred face and an eye missing. His weapon of choice seems to be big maces and he is very dangerous when he uses them.

He is wanted for bearing arms in town, resisting arrest, assault on a guard, namely Kaelyn and a citizen that tried to help.

Today’s duty was rather quiet and uneventful. Only Himasa’s sleep outside the gates, which could not be disturbed by anything was unusual.

Iljian and Iljiana’s shift also seems to have been quite uneventful and mine Kiri’s and John’s shift was also quiet.

Got a message from the stable master about my pigeons and he had to inform me that all had died of some bird sickness and that I could not hold any until the cause of it is found out, so no anymore die.

John went to Britain to investigate more on the Sherry the mouse mysteries and will report about it soon.

My shift was uneventful and I let the paladins take over the rest of the night then.

Kaelyn

Today Umbra held a special course of how to tackle crimes and trying to solve them. So me, Himasa and John went to Umbra and from there to the Lecture Hall to listen to it.

It started with some basics about why crimes are committed and for what to look for and after some discussion the tutors set up a crime and asked us to solve it.

They showed us a body of a paladin with a description of what wounds it had and what items would be on the corpse and we then had to question some witnesses in the hall.

One said that the paladin was from Luna and so we headed there and found another paladin that told us that the “murdered” one was a teacher and that he had two pupils. We asked around because of the two pupils and one guard told us that one had been seeing leaving the town running to some tower in the woods.

We followed to the tower and found the paladin there and found out that the paladin had done the crime most likely unintentional because of great pressure.

It was a good lecture and training and John was doing very well and solved all of it a lot easier than me.

When we returned to town it was quite busy but peaceful. Some of the Vesper barmaids and their owner were in the tavern and fooling around.

Miss Sally arrived then and met a Sir Rob Blackwood, whom she said is a citizen of the Duchy.

Seemingly the Vesper people assumed that Rob should be in Vesper and tried to force him to return. I interfered and told them to leave the town which they grudgingly did, stating though that they would call some Vesper militia for help. I asked Miss Sally to go somewhere safer with this Rob, but she said everything would be fine and that he is a well knows citizen.

While I escorted the Vesperians to the gate Gerek assaulted Lady Sally and bruised her badly, but Gerek managed to flee the town.

A short time later though more Vesperian militia arrived and they cornered Miss Buttons and Sir Blackwood in the tavern with the intention to return him to Vesper by force.

As the situation was hopeless and John still injured I ordered him to get some help and tell the healers that they would have business soon enough.

Gerek smacked a bottle of ale over Rob’s head and when I tried to help, me and Miss Buttons were beaten down and left unconscious.

Mr. Blackwood was seemingly kidnapped and brought to Vesper and we nay know anything more about it.

Miss Buttons was like me covered with bruises but also not seriously hurt and we both spent the night at the healers.

I would ask if Gerek can get a town ban for two weeks for his attack on Miss Sally and would ask what to do about the kidnapping of Sir Rob Blackwood.

Kaelyn

Was bruised and hurt all over, but the town was peaceful and quiet when I made my first patrol. Seemingly there was some magik convention and people left through portals near Trinsic gate to some unknown place.

A patrol to the Rose was uneventful and I stopped there for a short time to chat and have some milk and was asked about Iglata and told them to ask Milady Moiraine or Lady Reann.

Upon returning to the gate I saw Lady Moiraine talking with commander Jurell, who was here on business to investigate the craters. We escorted him to one and after Jurell poke about in it some undead things appeared though we cut them down quickly enough. The commander seemed troubled about it and ordered us to watch it closely before he hurriedly left the town.

Some Covians were troubling the Sheriff in the jail but it seems their commander was delirious, as he mistook Milady Moiraine with Lady Soulshadow and after seeing Aisha ran off shouting as if the devil was after him and all his men ran after him.

Lady Gwen and Sir Taggart and some others came then to talk with Lady Moiraine about Iglata and it seems we cannot prove that he did the murders and all seem to be very upset about it. Most made clear that if we let him go that they would kill him on sight, so we need to find to prove his innocence or guilt.

Rest of my shift was uneventful and I will go home and give my bruises some good rest.

Kaelyn

Today was market day and the town was fairly busy, though we had some troubles as some booths took longer than expected to set them up.

But Sally and Ivan managed to set up their booths near the bank and quickly had lots of customers asking for their wares.

I set up a small booth then too selling sketches I painted for people and a song I sung for a customer.

Business was fairly well and all of us sold quite a lot and I donated all the money I made to the orphanage.

Rest of the duty was quiet and uneventful.

Had shared duty with Natalie today and all seemed to be pretty fine.

Some people from Vesper were frantically running through the streets and we had to remind them about the law of not running armed and to make nay trouble.

Sabrae and Jaraxle had a fight in the street but nay thing serious happened and I had to fine Sir Jaraxle as he had started. I urge though the guards to have a further look into this business as I think that the drow Sabrae and also Faeryl sort of provoked the fight and we are looking for proof of it.

A woman was robbed outside of town by two brigands, though Iljian and Natalie quickly looked they could nay find any sign of them. The lady was nay seriously hurt though and also nay lost any valuables as she quickly ran. As usual the brigands wore masks and brown robes and nay could be further identified.

The co owner of the swaggers asked if he could rent a building and after he got someone ah think somewhat reliable to vouch for him, I will take it under consideration.

Some lawyer from Vesper asked that the employees of the Swaggers can sell their wares like food, drinks, alcohol and whatever else they offer at the swaggers on the streets. As we have the Rose and the Trinsic tavern close by I denied them the license and warned the lawyer nay to bring up that subject again for three days or he would be put on stocks for it.

It seems we have a new jailor and he seems to be a sort of well educated and cultivated one, a nice exception of our last ones and certainly an improvement.

Lady Moiraine let me look over his recommendations and they all seemed fine and in order, so I told the baroness that I think that man a good choice.

Lady Ravida offered to donate food and ressources to the orphanage and will provide those goods at Sunday at 9:30 at the Britain Moongate and that we provide an escort for her.

I will try to set up some guard training for all. I will prepare a bag and the guards will have to find out to whom it might belong, ask people and then tell me the solution. You can share information but if you think you know to whom it belongs to, please only tell me so others can find it out too.

Kaelyn

Was a quiet day today and Natalie shared my shift. I finished the song and managed to get Kai read it to Commander Soulshadow and both seemed to like it.

Himasa was attacked by some Ninja, but seemed unharmed and Keina found a note about a kidnapped person, whom we should ransom at a graveyard.

Natalie and me searched but we nay could find any sign of them and had to stop the search without any result. I hope it was just a prank and would like the other guards to look into it when they have time.

Just before my shift ended some Knights Hospitaler brought in a person called Shade and asked if we could put him in a cell for the night.

I agreed to it and he was searched and stripped of anything dangerous and put into cell one until they get him tomorrow.

Kaelyn

Lady Ravina visited today and brought the donations for the orphanage which I stored in the armoury until Miss Sally can get them. She was very gracious and Miss Sally will have lots of food and cloth in the months to come.

Faeryl walked into the town and before escorting her outside again I questioned her about the troubles she and Jaraxle seem to have. She accused Jaraxle of kidnapping a drow and of Shelly helping him.

So we then questioned Jaraxle and he stated that he had been attacked and just had defended himself and later even helped Shelly to carry the drow to the healers. He even showed Iljian and me where they had fought and also Katina confirmed Jaraxle’s statement.

During the questioning a Drow spied on us and refused to leave and attacked Iljian and me. Iljian got wounded early in the fight and had to return to the healers while I fought on for some time until Dawn came looking for me and the Drow fled.

Iljian issued a warrant for the drow and she might be a friend of Vierna and doing her bidding.

Iljian was not seriously hurt and questioned Shelly and Jaraxle then further and despite his different opinion I said that I see nay reason to accuse Jaraxle of kidnapping.

I think Iljian is right in his Judgements he did of Faeryl and Jaraxle and I want to recommend him for doing a very thorough investigation.

Town was busy again and full with the Hallows eve festival and I retired after my shift ended.

I saw Gerek out of town but was too tired to bring him in for his assault on Sally.

Today was the punishment of the criminal Iglata and so we got all available guards prepared for duty, as we expected troubles.

John helped me to set up the stocks and meanwhile the Templars spoke to Lady Moiraine about further investigating the Iglata case.

A crowd had soon gathered near the jail and we brought out Iglata and chained him to the stocks where our new jailer then punished him with forty five lashes.

After the lashes he was dragged to the blacksmith where two hot irons waited to brand his palms. The crowd was quite angry at him though and many of them demanded that he was to be killed.

Through all that we guards managed to keep the prisoner safe and then returned him to his cell and the crowd slowly dissipated.

We had gotten a notice that one of our guards had been captured by the Yew militia, but before we could send someone to investigate it, a yewian guard asked if we had any of theirs in a cell.

After a short talk we all recognised that someone had played both of us as fools and wanted to make us fight each other.

Further investigation will be needed to find out who was behind this ruse and the yewian left satisfied after checking that neither side had any prisoners of the other.

Faeryl was then seen entering the town and Iljian, John and me surrounded her and tried to arrest her. She dicided to try and run for it, but after a quick chase Iljian managed to knock her out and we put her in cell number one.

Lady Reann then talked to her and set the sentence the same as Iglatas and it will be done as soon as possible.

The rest of my duty was fairly quiet and uneventful.

Kaelyn

*wearily Kaelyn puts the pen down and rubbs her tired eyes. Thinking about what a terrible day it had been. She had tried to poison Iglata, but somehow he must have known something was wrong and had refused to eat anything of the food she had brought him. At first when she had reentered and seen it, she had considered using her sword to kill him, but then reliefed she had taken the food away and almost fled the cell with it.

He was still alive and she had not killed him after all. Though she had confessed all of it to Lady Reann afterwards and expected to receive a severe punishment, she had been surprised by her understanding and kind words.

Afterwards she had confessed to the two knights Sir Medric and Athos and had asked for their advice and they had tried their best.

In the end it was the question of sacrificing her heart for stopping Iglata and after thinking of all the people she would lose she knew that she could not pay the price.

Relieved about her failure Kaelyn walks out of town to find some rest in the arms of her beloved.*

When I got on duty all was quiet and Lady Reann was doing some work in her office.

We chatted a little and had an eye on Tammy who was training with Hugo in the woods and then I had a meeting with Sir Abronsius.

After the meeting I returned to duty and found lotsof people at the gate and the marksmen had built up some barricades for training.

I was talking with Lady Kimi when I heard some fighting outside and ran out to see what was happening.

Vesperians with the help of Draconi Templers were attacking and slowly pushing our forces back. I rushed at the attackers and tried to stop their advancement when a blow to my shield made me stumble and something hard hit my unprotected side, knocking me unconscious.

When I got back to my senses the fight was over and the Vesperians had withdrawn, but many of us were hurt and needed the attention of healers.

Below is a sketch of the aftermath of the fight.

16gateav7.jpg

I headed to the healers an decided that as seemingly Vesper was willing to declare war it was nescessary to ban the personal of the Swaggers and the Draconi Templars too from town.

After getting patched up at the healers and drawing up the documents I returned to the gate to check if all was well again.

Gerek had arrived and was seemingly unhappy about the ban.

His employer at the swaggers was also at the gate, asking about the ban and after hearing from me decided to fire Gerek so he could enter the town.

I ask the guards to keep their eyes and ears open and if you learn that Gerek still works with Vesper he is to be thrown out immediately.

Rest of my shift was quiet and me and Alusair chatted with Zefar, Kimi and Dotiie until we went off duty.

Kaelyn

*Kaelyn lay in the bed thinking about her meeting with Abronsius. She had confessed to him about the necklace and the dreams, but he had not seemed too worried and was more interested in the necklace than in her.

She had done as he advised and put the necklace away for her sleep, but she had not managed to fall asleep and after trying for some hours finally had put it on and fell asleep in minutes.

With her sleep though her dreams returned about the tower and the conversations. She enjoyed looking over the lush lands when she looked outside in her dream, but could not manage to ignore the voices arguing behind her. She tried to understand what was being said but she only could make out a few words which were like, ‘Ilshen you have to see reason.’

‘Sacrifices will have to be made if we are to survive.’

‘We can only try our best, you know this better than we all do.’

These and similar sentences were what she thought she heard before waking up, the necklace weighing heavy on her.

She sat up and quietly went to the desk to write down her dream as she had promised.

About four in the morning I awoke from a dream about Montor. I think I heard Ilshen and some other argue about something.

‘Ilshen you have to see reason.’

‘Sacrifices will have to be made if we are to survive.’

‘We can only try our best, you know this better than we all do.’

Such things were mentioned in my dream before I awoke.

Closing the book and returning quietly to bed Kaelyn tried to snatch more sleep before another day of duty would call upon her*

*a public note is posted throughout Trinsic*

Until further notice any Vesperian militia is banned from entering the Duchy

My shift was quiet today and there is nothing to report.

I got a descrition of tammy about the man that attacked her, Sir Janus and Hugo in Trinsic.

From her description it was a rather tall muscular man who called himself Gerard, but nay must be his real name. He has white long hair and wears silver platemail and a grey kilt and doublet.

I saw this man before entering Trinsic, but nay had a description yet.

He left he town soon afterwards though and I had nay reports of any troubles.

I advise that his punishment is a fine of 2000 gold and an hour on stocks.

Kaelyn

*Before Kaelyn went to sleep this night she took some of the sleeping draught and fell into a heavily dreamless sleep.

Her dream diary states ‘No dreams tonight after taking the sleeping draught and I feel better rested’*

*a permit*

Fabienne is no longer working at the Swaggers and is hereby allowed entry on Duchy lands. If he associates himself with Vesper again this permit is void and he is to be thrown off Duchy lands.

Felt dizzy when I got on duty because of the tea I drank yesterday to sleep properly, but was fine enough to stay on duty.

Iljian, Dawn, Kadul and Lady Reann were already on duty and all was fine.

So I went to the Rose and talked to lady Gwen about Vesper and she said that she would stop trading with the Swaggers until the matter was resolved.

Town was pretty quiet and the shift looked as if I may manage nay to get beat up for once when Tammy came and told me and Iljian that she had seen Vesperians

Lining up at the Swaggers.

Hoping that it may be just a drill we looked about and met Lady Reann and informed her.

Before we could do anything we met the Vesperian force which considered of about ten militia near the healers.

They demanded that some criminals be handed over to them and that they could search the town and arrest the ones they wanted.

I refused and a fight almost started, until lady Reann intervened and asked for a talk at the jail.

I still nay see a reason what there was to be talked about but Iljian and me got ordered to the west gate.

As Hanse and Reann went to talked Iljian and me held the Vesperians in check and saw that they nay made any more trouble than normally.

Lady Reann returned then and to my annoyance stated that them could search the place, but before I could do anything Vesper headed outside the west gate and checked the vicinity.

I was comfortable with that, but then they declared that they wanted to enter town and I stated that I would nay allow that and that I would fight them.

Below is a sketch of the Vesperians outside the gate.

17vespervb4.jpg

Hanse ordered that I should be attacked first and the fight started. I managed to hold out a minute and luckily some marksmen and Kaldorians arrived to help.

But my luck ran out quickly and three Vesperians or so caught up to me.

One tripped me and while I blocked one hit with my shield something hard hit my head and I fell unconscious.

When I awoke the fight was over, but it had taken a heavy toll on us all.

All around there were wounded people and the healers were busy to comfort the wounded.

But we had somehow managed to throw the attackers back and chase them off Duchy lands.

I went to the healers where them told me that I had a slight concussion and some minor cuts and they let me go after I paid them their fee.

I met Tammy at the west gate who informed me that she and some others had visited Vesper before and beat up Hanse and two others.

Seemingly this then led the Vesperians to come to Trinsic and look for the ones that had attacked them.

Sir Ikus came then and talked to a Vesperian woman who claims that it is all Hanse’s fault and that Twothumb nay has any control over the militia anymore and that we might be needed to help the baron to regain his power.

As I was still pretty shaken I retired earlier.

Kaelyn

*Kaelyn slept uneasy again this night and dreamt about Montor again.

She was standing in a big room somewhere high, probably a tower.

Behind her there was arguing again, about forces that threatened the town and what could possible be done.

Two maybe three people spoke urgently at one woman, trying to persuade her to give in and sacrifice something so the further destruction could be stopped or delayed.

In her dream Kaelyn managed to turn slowly and finally managed to catch a glimpse of the figure the people were talking to.

It was an old woman with long white and silvery hair. She looked frail but still radiated power from every expression she made.

It seemed that she was indecisive what to do, as if not being able to decide what would be the best for her people.

The other people talking to the woman and calling her Ilshen were hidden behind a hazy mist and Kaelyn could not see them clearly, but it seems they were urging Ilshen to something.

Ilshen though looked undecided as if something evil would come form their suggestions and before any decision was made Kaelyn awoke.

It was morning and the sun was up, promising a fine day.

She felt quite well and took her diary out to note down the dream.

‘I saw Ilshen tonight. She was old and looking weary and seemed to stand before a dreadful decision.

I still nay know what they are arguing about, but it seems as if the decision would decide over the lives of quite a lot of people and that there is nay fine solution.’

Closing her dream diary Kaelyn then started to go on about her normal chores.*

Duty started as usual pretty quiet and safe, except some minor incident when Tammy’s chair got missing and Hugo got accused of taking it.

In the end it was all sorted out and things went quieter again.

Rayden was caught in town and as there was a warrant out for him I put him on the stocks and he got his punishment of fifteen lashes and stocks time.

Below is a sketch of the stocks

18stocksgb3.jpg

As he hit me in the face when I chained him to the stocks I added an additional lash to his punishment.

He fell unconscious after the fourteenth or fifteenth lash though and so I hit him around his ears, so he remembers next time nay to fight his sentence.

Rest of the duty is quiet and I take the time to write this report.

*few sentences are added to the report with a different handwriting*

Captain Kaelyn was seriously hurt by a Vesperian attack and is at the healers. It seems the Vesperians looked for some fugitives and attacked anyone they found in town with no consideration. Many people were hurt, but luckily I have not heard of any critically injuries and hope it stays so.

*In Kaelyn’s dream she was in Montor again looking out the window. She could hear voices behind her talking urgently, when some roaring outside grabbed her attention. Looking outside over the lake she saw steam rising from it and people fleeing in panic.

Some sort of thick threads seemed to be moving in the steam and as she looked closer she recognised a huge Kraken made out of fire whose arms started to grab at the buildings close to the water.

One of its fiery tentacles rose to the tower and came closer and closer and Kaelyn woke up with a muffled cry from her dream.

Soaked in sweat she lay down on her bed and fell into an exhausted fever dream.

In this dream the healers building where she was resting in, was floating in the water and Gregor was steering it through the streets of Trinsic. Things were swimming in the streets and Kaelyn slowly edged closer to the water to see what these things were. Something huge was moving below her and as she tried to get a closer look to identify the thing, when a huge eye of a kraken rose out of the water besides her.

Tentacles swung out of the water as if trying to grab her, but she could not manage to move.

The Kraken opened its mouth as if to eat her, paused then though and started to speak in a high pitched voice, as if of a child.

‘Kaelyn how good to see you’. Do not be afraid and lie back and let Erwin read something to you’

With those words one of the tentacles lifted her and put her into one of the beds. As soon as she lay in the bed Erwin the healer guildmaster cam over and told her that he would read to her the wise words of the saints.

He started reading from a book, but Kaelyn could not understand anything and as she looked at the book she noticed that it was a cookbook, like the one her mother had had to teach her cooking.

Although she could not understand a word the words made her sleepy and she fell asleep in her dream.

Kaelyn slept peacefully for a few hours and woke late the following day, weak and still a little feverish*

I was still weak and had a slight fever when I got on duty.

Thank the gods all was fine and Dawn and Iljian were on duty and handling all the necessary things.

Some woman came to me about renting the room besides the Tinker’s but else it was pretty fine. Thorien made some slight trouble with nay disarming, but I am nay sure I should write a warrant for him yet.

I got a note from Spiritwood saying the missing banker James Kerr was found murdered there and I asked Iljian to get some guards together to investigate it.

Sir Ikus was here and it seems he wants to strike a deal with Vesper.

We hand over Tammy, Taryn and Tessah and get Hanse Davion in return.

I am nay sure why that should make up for all, but then I am nay a noble with their own ideas.

A Vesperian was caught in the city and as he was nay important enough to arrest him and beating him up nay enough I decided to hand him to Tammy and Taryn. They shackled him and may be able to trade him so these silly attacks may end on Trinsic.

Below is a sketch of the shackling of the Vesperian

They took him off Duchy lands and I have nay idea what happened to him.

Rest of my duty was quiet and I left sooner as I felt the fever rising.

*a note is sent addressed to the Trinsic guard officer*

We have heard about the bank robbery in Trinsic and also that one of the employees has been missing for some days now.

I am sad to inform you that we have found the corpse of a man we believe to be James Kerr yesterday in the woods near Spiritwood.

He was found with stabbing wounds in his back this morning by a woodworker and brought to the constable office for identification.

We found several papers with his name on his body and also a diary.

A more detailed report about the body is in my office and can be looked upon there.

If someone that knows him personally can visit and identify him for us, so we can return his body then to his family.

When I got to duty I got the report that Keina had been attacked by two Vesperians. Luckily the marksman Joshua Lewis had been with her and avoided that she got beat up further.

Though I have to suspect that a drow called Sirendelle who is associated with Vierna might have tried to kidnap Keina. She tried to carry her through several gates and only because of the marksman she remained in the town.

I questioned Sirendelle and naturally she denied it and claimed she only wanted to get her to safety, but Iljian’s report which he took from the marksman and Keina suggests otherwise.

Maybe Iljian was right and I should have arrested her on the spot, but I still hope to avoid further troubles with the drow.

And it would be hard to punish her for the tried kidnapping and I doubt she would have gotten more than a fine and maybe some stocks anyway, for what she did.

The two Vesperians had been women one using magik the other one using a sword and a buckler.

Stewart paid his rent for the bakery for a year ahead as he got lucky with some gambling.

I need to write to Vierna to remind her that the drow under the Duchy protection are nay for her to threaten, kidnap or torture, so maybe arresting a few will help.

Talked to Faeryl then and told her to inform Vierna to leave the Duchy protected citizens alone.

Vesper attacked Trinsic again claiming to look for fugitives and many people got injured on both sides before the fighting ended.

Later on some Vesperians tried to attack again but retreated outside the walls this time.

I informed the guards that the banker Kerr was found dead in Spiritwood and I will send some guards to investigate it tomorrow.

Remind me to send the local healers to some more training and hopefully one can convince them that ginseng does nay cure everything and nay all wounds need to be cleansed with burning out anymore.

I better go home before they decide to amputate a leg so I that I have to take their advice to become a baker or else pirate.

Today was a lecture about Gargoyles in Umbra and it seems that they know some about their language and crafting, but nay idea about their social structures.

The lecture was pretty well visited and I saw Sir Muldran there, but we nay could arrest him as he left through a portal.

Upon returning to Trinsic we found Vesper had decided to attack again under the pretence of wanting Tammy and her accomplices as I later found out.

21fightwc6.jpg

Lots of people got wounded, but they seemingly did nay find what they looked for and in the end were thrown out of town.

When I felt better Lady Kimi came to talk to me and took back the charges against the Drow Nil’tyr.

The drow came later on and as I had nay real charges I sentenced him to 2000 gold for resisting arrest, which he paid.

Sir Decardo visited then too and asked about the damage from Sir Muldran’s escape as he wishes to pay for it and also thinks that Muldran will turn himself in to stand trial for his crimes.

I promised him that lady Reann or his Grace would be his judge and that his partial insanity would be taken into consideration.

Vesper with help from a Yewish templar attacked then again, but were thrown back. It seems Vesper officers are trying to get tactical help from the Yewish, as them nay seem to make any progress.

That Yewish templar was recognised by several Kaldorians by uniform and proofs that Vesper is allied with Yew now.

Sir Orson had arrested Gia for some stealing matters and it seems someone beat him up and Gia managed to flee.

Sir Orson thought that her husband Reywan was the one that had beat him up and so when Reywan entered town we arrested him.

Sir Orson though nay recognised Reywan and as I thought Orson’s accusations of Gia nay holding up I let both go.

It seems Sergeant Orson has a personal dislike or crush on Gia and tries to get her arrested all the time, so I ask all other guards to keep our old sergeant a little in check until I find some easier duty for him.

I promoted Meygan to a guardswoman as she deserves it, although she messed up in training by attacking Keina and getting beat up by Talon and Hugo for it.

There will be some training with Kaldor today at 20.30 for all that wish to join.

Town was pretty busy when I got on duty, but all seemed to be pretty quiet and rak’suun who had been on a patrol out of town also reported that all was safe.

Lady Soulshadow reported that Meiko nay is in the Kaldorian army anymore and Gwen said that after she had tried some of Meiko’s cookies she had felt as if poisoned.

I talked to Talon today and he said he nay knew anything about Nil’tyr and that it would be fine if he had to keep his distance from Keina. He also added that Keina nay could wear a Duchy uniform as she is too young.

I also told Rak’suun and Kimi that Nil’tyr has to keep his distance from Keina and also to Rak’suun not to get too closely friends with Keina, as he is nay her father.

Vesperians attacked the town in force and only because of the combined forces of Kaldor, the marksmen, elves, Duchy forces and others, did we manage to beat them back.

It was a long fight and many did get hurt again and this time Vesper actually asked for our surrender and promptly was refused.

It seems Twothumb has totally lost the control over his forces or just lost his mind and I have nay idea how to stop the fighting at the moment.

I invited all to celebrate the victory at the tavern while I stood guard at the gate, when a robed figure strolled into town. Hugo and me challenged the person but she refused and just walked on. We caught her before the bridge and managed to block the way and Hugo gave the person to the count of three before he stabbed it.

I thought the person would disrobe before Hugo finished his counting, but he nicked her with a poisoned kryss and she dropped unconscious from it.

After checking we noticed that it was Magistarte Leisa Llwyd who wanted to test if we could get the conflict solved without violence.

She said that she would protest to his Grace about the bad guard behaviour these days and a personal reprimand about me.

While I talked later then to Rak’suun we heard fighting outside and when we checked we saw some guards and marksmen fighting with some Brigands.

We helped the fighting and finally managed to bring one down.

Back in town we noticed that we had captured Dexius Brutusand I set his sentence to a branding on his right palm and then ten lashes at his back and five more at his right arm, where he wields a sword.

22brandingoi0.jpg

As he struggled and tried to hit Rak’suun, I added five more lashes to his left arm.

Rak’suun and Brynhild did the branding and Raksuun afterwards got ready for the lashes. There was one disturbance though as one person threatened a child with a knife and tried to blackmail us to release Dexius.

Luckily someone jumped in and disarmed the criminal before he could hurt the child and knocked him out. He was also put on the stocks and received ten lashes as he called Dexius with Chef.

22floggingzw6.jpg

Dexius and his companion were half dead after the beating and we left them in the woods where their fate is undecided, though I guess they are nay as easy to kill as we assume.

I was fatigued after this day and had to try to solve arguments between Hugo and Meygan, but failed.

Also Keina decided to stay with Rak’suun and despite my displeasure he agreed to it and let her stay with him.

Yer Grace,

I take full responsibility that Magistrate Leisa Llwyd was hurt in Trinsic when I was on duty. I failed at recognising and handling the situation correctly and will accept any punishment you will decide upon.

Yours,

Kaelyn

*physically and emotionally exhausted Kaelyn fell into her bed which was empty as Tiggarn was out fishing these days. The pictures of the flogging still haunted her and thinking it unlikely that sleep would come she lay down.

It only took a few moments and she fell asleep dreaming of the flogging and all the blood, broken bones and burnt flesh.

Slowly though her dream changed to the one in Montor and this time it seemed that Chaos had taken over the city. Buildings were burning and creatures seemingly out of nightmares were destroying the city.

Kaelyn awoke from her nightmare and noted that only a few hours had passed, but she also knew that she nay would find more sleep after this dream*

Captain Kaelyn.

I received your request for assistance against various enemies which regularly plague your city, via my sister. You must appreciate that such a request, puts me in a rather awkward position. I am not at war with any particular faction in this dispute. Indeed my stance, so far, has been entirely neutral, one which I would prefer to maintain. I have other priorities and I would be reluctant to let outside factors interfere with these goals. There is also the heavy responsibility that I may be shedding Drow blood for what is essentially a human dispute.

Nevertheless, I have not rejected your request out of hand and have discussed the matter with a few of my lieutenants whose opinions I value. You see that is the difference between someone like myself, who earned the right of leadership and someone like Irvyn who leads because of an accident of birth. My people follow me because they trust me to make the right decision, not because they are told to by someone who hides behind a title.

After much thought I have decided to agree to your request and offer the assistance you require. However you must offer something in return. Firstly, my status within the town must be cleared to allow me access and freedom. I must be there to lead, it is what is expected of me. That is another difference between me and Irvyn, I lead from the front, not from behind a desk in some safe haven.

Secondly, control of East Trinsic is ceded to me in respect of payment for services rendered. This area is most suitable to me since it contains the docks. When the dispute is finally over I can go forward with my real aim, that of trade.

Those are my terms. Despite our differences in attitude, we have always got on well so I feel sure that you can meet my, not unreasonable, terms. I look forward to receiving your agreement at your convenience.

Vierna Hun’ett

2nd Duaughter, House Hun’ett

*a copy of a letter is added to the report*

To Vierna Hun’ett

Thank you for your offer to assist the Duchy, but sadly we have to decline it.

We nay can offer you a part of the town, nor ignore the crimes you have done against the Baroness and forgive them so easily.

As your people though also have benefits of Trinsic it may be clever to support the Duchy in the defenses of the town, as all other towns nay even allow your people to enter or trade.

I may consider though renting off the one or other building in the eastern parts if you intend to open legitimate businesses there.

I believe as long as you nay force your politics in town and follow the laws that you can live with all other citizens in peace.

Liana asked for a long unpaid leave of absence and I guess she went to look for Iljian and I hope they find happiness.

Some people from the Skara Brae Community visited and wanted to talk to his Grace and left a present and message from him.

It seems they look for an alliance or at least for some trade agreements.

Brynhild was at the Umbra lecture and told me that it was about preparations to parts unknown and that she saw Muldran, but nay could arrest him as too many people were around.

I told all guards and people that Keina and Kimi are missing and that drow are the most likely suspects.

Rak’suun and some others went out to find a trace of the two missing women, but nay found anything.

Some crazy elf called Synara came late at night into town and started trouble with Rak’suun and I had trouble to separate them and sent Rak’suun to cool off at the Moongate.

The elf though then attacked me and knocked me out and took off into the woods. She is to be banned permanently from the Duchy grounds and may be attacked freely anywhere on Duchy lands and is nay protected by any laws.

BANNED

The elf who calls herself Synara is banned from the Duchy of Trinsic.

She may be attacked freely and is under nay protection of the Duchy.

Below is a picture of the elf and the most prominent feature is her pale skin.

Talked to some drow about Keina and Kimi and later even managed to talk about Faeryl about them, who assured me that they did not have the two.

It seems it is all Nil’tyr’s doing, but better to keep asking and find out if that is the truth.

Some Vesperians were at the gate asking to talk to some Paladins or Knights and went to the Rose then to get drunk where I heard that they stumbled over Sir Taggart.

One of the Vesperians ignored the ban and was beat up and thrown out for his stupidity.

It seems Mordred and Shelly are back for good, but Is till had any word from Natalie yet and hope she is fine.

Went with Rak’suun on some patrols looking for Kimi, but nay found a trace of them anywhere.

Hoping that anyone would find them soon we waited in town and at the end of my shift a guard reported that Kimi and Keina were at the gates badly wounded.

26kimiue7.jpg

Rak’suun, Meygan, Faeryl and another drow helped me to get them to the healers. Keina is very badly wounded and may die from her wounds still, though Kimi did her best, though the Trinsic healers said the drow would not survive it.

Both are in bad shape and were badly tortured by Nil’tyr as Kimi told us and will have to stay at the healers for some time.

I ordered Rak’suun to stay with them at the healers and also will stay three over night to relieve him in a few hours.

Had a talk with Vierna today and all went quite well. She accepted to leave the hands off the Duchy protected Drow and I said I would nay interfere in drow business as long as it nay interfered wi9th the Duchy.

Lady Kimi wanted to give a report about what had happened and Stewan carried hr to the tavern where we got her in a quiet room to listen to her report.

Kimi said she got a note that Keina was in Nil’tyr’s hands and that he wished to see her.

Kimi did as she was told and went to him and got imprisoned in a cell under his house.

A human female woman helped him and they both tortured Kimi and Keina and the woman was jealous of Kimi and took pleasure of hurting her.

Kimi somehow became his pet and he tortured both of them and if she did as she was told Keina would nay be tortured and the other way around with Keina.

Kimi tried her best to protect Keina and even assumed a role as pet so Keina would get less punishment and got branded as sign for it.

Finally as both submitted totally to him he started to treat them better and Kimi managed to treat some of Keina’s wounds.

Kimi confessed that she killed the human woman that tortured them both on Nil’tyr’s wish. She also reported that when she saw a chance that she charged Nil’tyr and wounded him badly, leaving him bleeding on the ground.

She then snatched keina and some clothes and managed to stumble in direction of the west gate where we found her then eventually.

Kimi asked that we stop trying to bring her up against Nil’tyr and I agreed that we will try to wait until she sees reason herself and will keep her at the healers until I think she does.

I finally got a note about the costs to repair the wall which muldran damaged in his escape attempt.

The materials only cost 276 gold but with all the work and time it added up to 674 gold in total.

2. original newspapers and special editions – not complete and some in poor condition

3. six writing tables and a dozen mostly old chairs

4. Gretcha gossips personal notes

5. Polly Pattersons personal ink and pen (ink looks green and might be poisenous)

6. Lola Rennt's crystal ball, where she probably made up news on a slow day.

7. Rita Skeeter's personal Gin bottle (half full) and a keg of it found in the archive (three quarters full)

8. Ms Kitty De Vine cosmetic bag and lipstick stained coffee mug.

9. Miss Kitty De Vine’s bedroll, embroidered with flowers

10. Rita Skeeter's tin foil thinking hat (open iron helmet?)

11. A skull candle found on the editor’s desk with a note to it “This was the last reporter who got his article in late”

Came on duty a little late and was busy to get the items from the storage for the auction.

Brynhild placed some cloth out so people would find their way to the auction, though fewer people than expected seemed to want those old things.

27auctionoe9.jpg

I was surprised though how much gold some of these things brought the Duchy.

The first things like Rita Skeeter’s book of snappy answers got the Duchy 800 gold and the poste’s collection 600.

But Lola Rennt’s crystal ball managed to get 3000 gold and I wonder if there is a new author in the making then.

There was a hefty bidding battle for Rita Skeeter’s Gin Barrel. Rumour has it that it is the best gin possible, but I was still surprised when the end bidding reached ten thousand gold.

The same amount was reached by Kitty De’Vines cosmetic bag, where Tammy, Miss De’Vine and some others fought with tooth and nail to get the last bid in.

Miss De Vine managed also to get the highest bid on her handbag and so it seems she has all her belongings back and I wonder where she got all that gold from.

Is it true that the poste reporters blackmail the nobles for not printing the most dirty stories of them?

Town was quiet else and Kimi and Keina seem to be doing a little better.

I left Kimi unshackled, but placed a paladin in front of the healer to watch over their safety.

Kimi and Keina are nay allowed to leave town without any guard or in Keina’s case without her parents. Any guard doing wrong in this case will find itself as recruit again, guarding the south gate for the next two years.

I still think Kimi wiashes to find out if her Jabbuk or Master is still alive and as soon as she can walk I think she will be on her way looking for him. So I ask all guards to be alert and follow her when she does and to keep her safe.

Also every unknown drow is to be questioned and if found suspicious held in a cell until further identification and the assurance that it is safe to let the drow into town can be made.

Yesterday’s duty was pretty quiet and only interrupted late at the evening with some fighting when some magician with some grudge attacked two Kaldorians at the gate with some fire being and his magik.

I arrived at the west gate and found the two Kaldorian hurt and the magician gloating over them.

I challenged him and he cast some magik on me and I retreated into the town to escape his first spells. Luckily the drow May’quiri saw our fighting and helped me to knock the magician out.

As it seemed to be a Kaldorian fight and I was only bruised a little I handed him over to Kaldor with the condition nay to torture or kill him.

Athos and Madellaine came to get Kimi to Tel’Mar where she can rest her wounds and think in peace about her problems and how to carry on with her life after the ordeals she had been through.

Today there was training with Kaldor on Serpents hold and lots of people took part in it. It lasted quite long and we had some interesting fights and tried new tactics.

When I returned to town I was bruised and tired and the guards reported that the town had been quiet.

Rest of my shift was also uneventful and only news is that Keina seems to be healing fine and wishes to visit Kimi soon.

Duty started quiet enough with many guards and recruits returning to active duty again.

His Grace was there to take the oath from Joshua Lewis and also took him up as armsman because of his service as marksman for Trinsic and I also promoted Athar D’elion to Armsman.

Keina was allowed to visit Kimi and with Talon and Stewan she went there to visit her and found Kimi well.

Lady Soulshadow was attacked by the mage in green clothes called Phlebas that had attacked other Kaldorians yesterday.

She got bruised and hurt her wrist, but was nay seriously injured and I will write a warrant for him tomorrow.

Lance Sanders entered town in Yewish uniform and seemingly was unaware that Yew is banned from the Duchy. I sent Yukiko and Joshua to escort him outside where he drew a weapon and attacked the guards, but was taught quickly by them the error of his ways and knocked down.

Later Kadul was attacked by lance Sanders in the woods and managed to beat him up again and I hope he sees that as a sign to maybe retire and become a farmer.

Rest of my shift was quiet and uneventful.

My duty started quiet with his Grace questioning the mage Phlebas and nay coming to any result. Sir Devante later talked with me and said that Phlebas might get transferred to New paws where his trial will be and I nay see any problem with that.

I talked later on with his Grace about the project with the memorabilia of Jordan Jurrel and he seemed to be interested and I will write to Flame and Mord to get more informations about Jurrel’s life.

Some man informed me that parts of my house were on fire and when I headed there two hooded persons jumped out of the bushes and demanded the cell key. I refused them and they attacked me and knocked me out and seemingly stole the key, as when I awoke it was reported that Phlabas was free.

I went to the healers and rested there over the night where some elven healer took away most of the pain and I hope my house is nay so much damaged that ah nay can sleep in it the next few days.

I will put out a warrant for Phlebas and consider a bounty on him, as because of my fault Sir Devante and Lady Soulshadow are in danger again.

Also will tell the tinkers to hand out new keys tomorrow and change all the locks.

Dear Lady Flame and Sir Mord Mhor,

I am writing to you in request of information of Sir Jordan Jurrel.

I am looking for any information about him you have, but would prefer if you could point me to some short summaries about his life and work.

Also I am interested in any pictures you might have of him, which I might either use or make after it a drawing myself.

I intend to use these informations in memory of the Commander and so that all citizens can see and read about his ventures.

Town was quiet and on my first patrol to the Rose and through the town nay thing to report.

Muldran Skully turned himself in and I sentenced him for his assault on two people and the escape from jail to one week without his spellbook and also closed him out of his house. Also he volunteered to help the healers for twoo weeks and also will teach anyone that asks on topics he knows things about.

I was at the gate when I heard a commotion outside the gates. When I went to check it I heard fighting and saw that Vesperians came running out of the woods and charged the town.

A fight started and many people including me got hurt and had to get treated by the healers.

I have nay idea why they attacked, but several citizens reported that things got stolen from their houses and so I guess they were short on gold and tried to rob the town again.

I saw Meygan at the healers who also got wounded and told her that she is demoted to armswoman and that I keep a week’s pay from her, for her bad behaviour with Keina and Kimi.

Sir Janus cam visiting me at the healers with a child he found and said that he considers becoming her legal guardian. The child is a drow called Jhalirdrii and said she would like to become Mathias’s squire, though I nay think that is the best idea.

Lady Jade feels threatened by some Kaldorians and so if you see her around guard and watch over her and see she is fine.

Day was uneventful else and uneventful.

When I got on duty today some Yewish Guards were blocking the gate and Klion was telling his lies.

His Grace ordered us to let them leave though I am nay happy with that as them still broke the law by coming here.

Shane Rensha leased the stables and seems to be pretty competent with animals as he has a sort of tame bear with him.

Katina, Keina’s sister was seen walking the streets of Trinsic, but nay one managed to talk to her.

Rak’suun is relieved off duty until he is well and also I will keep in one week of his pay for nay doing as told.

Day started quiet as it is normal and I did a patrol to the Trinsic Rose where the repair hour was and got my shield dented out.

Town seemed quiet so I went to the Umbra tavern to talk with others about the game and then returned to town to get some paperwork done.

I nay felt up to get a lot done though and so I went out to the gate where I saw Muldran shying away from his work.

After threatening to rent his services off to Tammy, Muldran was a lot more eager to do his chores and may prove to be a usable floor sweeper one day.

The gate got quieter and it was nice and peaceful until some monks came along accusing us of being sinners and attacking us for our sins.

I got hit over my head and Brynhild and Shelly too, but some others then including Mordred managed to chase the monks away.

Later Keina told me the monks were probably from Vesper, as one had lost his robe during the fight.

I nay felt too well and had to go off duty before my shift was over.

Training yesterday led by the Kaldorian Captain Duo and as I expected it was to be an exhausting one. He ordered us first to haven where some abandoned ships lie in a canal and we trained how to board such ships and fight on them.

Afterwards we went a bit south to a bridge where we had to guard some bagballs and drag them over to ‘our’ base.

Training was very exhausting and left me pretty tired and I have to say that Yukiko did well in the training.

It was late when we returned to Trinsic and all seemed quiet enough except that the magician Caern I think is his name returned from whatever place he was lost.

He promptly insulted Keina and Zach Moorgard and Hugo beat him up for it, before he could even draw a weapon.

Took me some effort to settle the matter and in the end he agreed as he nay had been seriously hurt and was also nay innocent in the matter to settle it all for a fine of 400 gold.

I got the gold from Zach and handed it over to Caer, though somehow I doubt the matter is over and I suspect the magician will try to get his revenge on the Kaldorians and maybe on us too.

While I handed the gold over at the ban a strange drow practices some magik and Joshua asked him to stop, but the drow laughed and continued.

As Joshua fired a warning shot the drow started to cast at Joshua and I had to quickly charge the drow and knock him down to prevent that anything more happened.

The drow claimed he was just singing, but I know it is a lie as I have heard such incantations from some magik users before and I warned him to refrain from using his magik in town and let him go on a warning.

We have a new Tokuno fox in town called Hitomi and you are all to treat it nicely and with respect.

I left Joshua in charge of the town when I went off duty and expect that everything is in order.

She settled down for sleep, hoping that this time she would find answers in her dreams and assurance*

Town was quiet when I came on duty and all was fine, so I sent Solus out to scout the moongates and maybe some cities.

She returned stating that at the Moonglow moongate some dark dressed man had attacked her and knocked her out.

Also some stranger told us that some pickpocket had stolen his jewelled dagger, but his only description was bad clothes and a man.

We patrolled the town but nay could find any sign of him.

Gorn and me went to Moonglow but we nay could find anything out of the ordinary there and so returned to town

In town Keina reported that Carn was digging some hole near the bank and led us to him. I confronted him and he claimed that he was looking for some treasure, but tat the spot was wrong anyway.

I let him close the hole and had him hand over the shovel to Joshua.

Joshua escorted him then to the tinkers where Carn claimed to have some business and then out of town.

I was brooding over some paperwork when Solus and Joshua brought a bruised man to me. He was a Vesperian who had tried to spy and had been caught and I let Solus built stocks and put him on it for ten minutes.

He threatened and insulted us and so I told Solus that after fifteen minutes she could let him down and kick him out of town.

Joshua came running into town reporting that he had found a mutilated body besides the road and that Carn had been seen dumping the body.

29bodyiz8.jpg

I ordered Joshua to take the body to the helaers and see if they could find out more about it.

Carn returned to Trinsic later and Joshua and me took him into the jail so he could tell where the body came from. He claimed that he had found the man dying from a bear in the woods and wanted to bury him.

As the healers had said that most of the wounds had happened after the death I grudgingly believed Carn and took all his magik things from him and with Joshua’s help escorted Carn to the moongate and told him that he is nay welcome here anymore.

Eike gave me some interesting information that Vesper might be inclined to attack, because of the man we put on stocks before.

Rest of my shift was quiet and I hope I manage to catch as much sleep as last night with the sleeping potion the healers had given me.

Came on duty and Brynhild and Joshua were guarding the town and reported that his Grace was in the jail expecting visitors.

I went to greet his Grace and was informed that a caravan from Skara would arrive soon with long awaited trade goods.

Brynhild managed to miss the caravan and so I had to lead them to his Grace and also showed the Skara guards the local tavern and invited them for a drink.

One of the Skara guards was attacked by robed figure, but stayed unharmed, but a patrol through town nay showed any sign of it.

Muldran helped with the unloading of the goods and finally he did some honest work and some other trader called Brynn offered to trade metal if we could give him leather.

He asks for 500 of each leather so all guards are ordered to collect leather on their patrols and put it into the barracks.

Town was quiet except for Brynhild and Joshua fretting with a Gnome and I told them that although the Gnome wore Vesper clothes that if he changed

His clothes he could stay outside town.

Joshua was so upset that I had to send him off duty and I heard that Brynhild also soon afterwards finished her duty.

I decided to gather some firsthand information about Moonglow and set of and found the town itself quiet though peoples aid that the Lyceum was under attack.

So I went there and found it swarming with attacking dark wisps and flesh golems attacking the people trying to defend the Lyceum.

30moonglowik6.jpg

I helped a bit in the defence, but the wisps had the building in their control and all the mages working there must have either fled or died defending it.

I tried to help as best as I could, but soon was exhausted and decided to retreat and report about what happened in Moonglow.

When I returned there were lots of Kaldorians training outside the gate with Captain Duo.

Genty of the marksmen made an insult about the Kaldorian Commander and refused to take it back, though I asked him to do it.

Talon heard it and ordered the Kaldorians to surround him and they beat him up and hurt his arm, so I had to get him to the healers.

One of the Knights Hospitalers came into town and the Kaldorians ran after him and said that they had orders to remove him from town.

I argued a little with Duo, but gave in the end as I nay wanted a fight and the Knight complied and left the town.

I then confronted Duo to take off his helmet and he said that he is on duty and nay would remove his helmet. I told him that it is law that when there was nay fighting that people took their helmet off, but he just laughed.

When I threatened to arrest him he let his soldiers line up and threatened to knock me out if I nay let him be.

I disagreed and was prepared to challenge him when Joshua hit my weapons hand with his weapon and disarmed me and forced me so to retreat.

As I nay wished to go to the healers Joshua shot an arrow bolt in my leg to keep me in town.

I managed to drag myself to the healers and as Joshua just followed me ordered a paladin to lock him up in a cell and handed him the key.

I accuse Joshua Lewis of attacking an officer, refusing to follow orders, cowardice, betrayal of the Duchy and relieved him from his duties.

The healers say I will be fine soon and then I hope to see his Grace to decide when to hold a trial for Joshua.

Your Grace,

I regret to inform you that the Captain of the Trinsic guards does not seem fit for duty. She arrived on duty today looking very visibly unwell, such is her current health that she even informed me the healers do not think her fit for duty. It is because of this I believe she is making critical mistakes that could jeoperdise the City.

A few hours ago myself and Brynhild were removing a a gnome who was wearing Vesper militia uniform and was identified as such. A few Kaldorians who were also gathered at the West gate of the city protested our actions as they claimed the gnome was once one of their own and harmless. Regardless of this we followed the orders set out by the Captain herself that all known Vesperians are to be removed from the city as it is a risk they may be spying on your city.

As we marched him away from the gate the captain approached us and ordered us to halt. She agreed the gnome was not allowed inside the city but then she informed us that, in her opinion and in opposition to her own orders, if the gnome changed clothes and we ignored him he was allowed to stay. She made fools of Brynhild and myself infront of the Kaldorians and the Vesperians in allowing a known vesperian to remain on Trinsic soil and able to continue spying.

Furthermore when I asked her permission to speak freely to her of her actions and current state of mind I was only allowed one sentce before she filled with anger and ordered me off duty. The captain then proceeded to leave the town in pursuit of finding out the current state of Moonglow, abandoning her post and leaving no guards to cover the night shift, instead a single Paladin, a horde of kaldorians and the beady eyes of the Vesperian gnome (spy?).

I do not write this out of spite for the way I have been treated this night, I write instead because I feel the Captain is not well enough to continue her duties I believe she should benefit greatly from some attention from the healers and some rest, before the Duchy Guards and your city suffer irrepairably for her mistakes.

Signed

Armsman Joshua Lewis.

*Kaelyn slept fretfully at the healers and fussed so much about that the healers finally gave her a sleeping draught that let her fall into a dreamless sleep. Still she remembered the next day that her dream had been about the attack and destruction of Montor and that it had ended with one of her trusted friends knifing her into her back*

Healers told me this morning that I could leave, though my leg still hurt a lot and so I limped on my round through town. At the ;Moongate some Pixie appeared and said the phrases ‘Help elf’, ‘Elf will die’ Darkness, pain’, ‘Weakness’. The Pixie refused to tell where, except far away and also refused tot tell me a name of an elf.

But as I questioned it more, it disappeared and I nay could find any trace of it.

I returned to Trinsic and informed the elves and the marksmen about what I had seen and heard and they told me that Gwen had been on a mission.

The needed Devante as Gwen had left a diary and they wanted him to read it, so we could know where she might have gone.

Gorn the Kaldorian was wearing his helmet again and I reminded him about it.

Some Vesperians were in town and Dawn, Kadul, Solus and some marksmen managed to capture them and they were put on stocks and then thrown out of town.

Leon got into some quarrel with Gorn and got hit by the Kaldorian and complained to me.

I told Leon that he could hit once back, but the Kaldorian continued to fight and refused to stop. So I ordered the other guards to knock him down and put him on stocks.

General Paladis dropped by and I challenged him about some of the Kaldorians attitude and he reassured me that Kaldor still is an ally, but that Kaldor also are proud soldiers.

I was on a patrol around town when I heard that Vesperians attacked and I engaged them outside the gates, but was knocked out pretty quickly.

I woke at the healers where a Vesperian was looking through my belongings and only a quick draw of my dagger chased him off.

Seems they were attacking to rob some shops and for revenge for the other Vesperians we had captured before.

Luckily nay one was seriously hurt and the loss of gold and property was nay as grave as feared.

The tavern misses some barrels of ale and the jeweller some necklaces, but most could be saved.

After the healers tended my burns and other bruises I returned to duty only to find Sir Ikus in the jail questioning me about Joshua.

We went to the cell where he questioned Joshua and also asked me some things.

After the interrogation he insisted that two Paladins take me to the healers and that I was strapped to the healer’s bed.

I think he has gone crazy and rather believes the traitor Joshua than me and I think this shows him as the coward and fool many people suspected.

Luckily Gia came and managed to loosen my straps, though Joshua whom Ikus had released from his cell tried to stop her.

He attacked her and wounded her, but I managed to grab the weapons beside my bed and chased him off.

After checking that Gia was fine I left and went to look for the traitor Joshua. I found him trying to leave the town and after some fighting managed to put an arrow in his back.

I dragged him back in his cell and under the guidance of a healer dressed his wounds and this night will show if he survives it, as his wounds are serious.

Still I will address his Grace tomorrow and accuse Joshua and Sir Ikus both of treason.

*a letter is added to the last report*

I looked for Sir Muldran but nay could find it and decided to head to Skara Brae and use some time to search further for Natalie.

Took me a few hours and hundred gold in paid drinks to learn that she worked in Skara and kept mostly to herself.

She took passage on a ship to Nujelm a few weeks ago, but I am sad to say that ship has been reported lost on sea and nay survivors were found.

It hope that Natalie at least finds happiness with them gods, as she nay had much in her life.

I felt mentally numb and physically exhausted, but decided to wander to Tel’mar and try to find some peace there.

It is nice here and I will stay a few days and hopefully find solutions to my problems

Hope you are all fine,

*a letter is added to the latest report*

Hello friends,

I wanted to apologise for my behaviour these last months and I hope that you can forgive me.

I stayed some time in Tel’Mar, but despite its beauty I nay found any rest and decided that I had to solve my troubles before I could consider getting well again.

It happened that I ended in Spiritwood and had a nice evening there and talked with Muldran about some troubles.

*a sketch is added to the letter*

31spiritwoodge5.jpg

I felt restless though and left earlier to get a head start next morning to resolve my business.

Managed to sort it, though it was nay easy and you can tell Muldran that I returned the necklace to its place and that he better serves his sentence and nay wanders all over the world.

I returned to Tel’Mar and rested there for a few days and I have to say that I feel better and also that the dreams nay returned.

I will head to Tokuno for some more rest and I heard a lot about the place and want to take a look at it.

Oh and I heard that Lady Reann is Captain now and I know that the town is in the best hands.

Love to all,

Kaelyn

I returned to Trinsic today after resting in Zento for a few days, but his Grace was busy dealing with envoys from Skara Brae and had nay time too see me.

Lady Reann is acting Captain and we agreed that we would wait until the Duke decides that I can come on duty again.

Keina and her friend Benjamin staged a play – good versus evil and like we all want to see good in the form of a noble paladin won!

Some suspicious people tried to sneak very suspiciously into town and when Lady Reann challenged one, he ran. The chase took us all through town, but we caught him finally only to hear that he was just trying to shop and had tried to sneak in so as not to get robbed.

It was all a lie as we all knew, but we nay could do more then throw him out of town.

Lady Reann agreed that Keina might get accepted as Duchy apprentice, though I am nay sure it is a good idea, as she might get hurt.

Else all was quiet and I am glad to be back and will put this short note to the other reports.

I still stayed off duty today and decided to join the marksmen at their training near the harpies nest.

I am out of shape and I have to get used to the heavier weapons I intend to use and will need more training for it.

Town seemed quiet and I was dealing with some licenses when I got informed that Vesper was attacking. When I went outside I saw them attacking Lady Reann and I tried to help her but was knocked out by some magik spell.

Managed to get to the healers when I regained consciousness and learned there that Vesper had retreated from town after their initial attack.

I wrote the lease for Meygan’s sister Kendra then and handed her the lease of the jewellers for a month.

Some demon creature was strolling outside town and we suspect it is after Tammy and it may be an old love of her that sold its soul to something and returns now to gain her love.

Tammy though refuses to know it and says that it wants to eat her soul, but I am nay so sure about it.

Hugo and Alusair brawled a bit throughout town, but it nay seemed to be serious enough to interfere.

I expect to return to duty soon and hope to do my best to nay disappoint his Grace.

Kaelyn

*a copy of a lease is added to the report*

The owner of this Lease Kendra has the right to use the following building, The Trinsic Pearl- Jewellers and to sell her wares there.

The Duke decided yesterday that I should take another day off and so I only stayed a short time in town and all seemed to be quiet and well under control.

When I got to town today all seemed quiet and Lady Reann had everything under control.

His Grace was talking to some strange man and asked to see me when we got messaged that Vesperians were out of town.

Lady Reann faced them and listened to their demands which were Trinsic’s surrender and acceptance as slaves.

As lady Reann refused fighting started and we managed to throw them back and chased them off the lands.

I got knocked down by some magik and had to get treated at the healers.

His Grace talked to me then and said that I would be expected to be Captain again and Lady Reann would be Justice again.

I accepted and went on duty afterwards and have to report that my duty was quiet and uneventful.

First day on duty and it all started out complicated with the Kaldorian Duo making trouble and refusing to remove his helmet in town and also Gorn who followed the example of his Captain.

Luckily they moved off to training and Solus reported about a man dressed in black clothes who had attacked her.

Brynhild and me searched for the man, but nay could find a sign of him and returned then to gate duty.

A pixie ran by, telling that Vesperians were in the Rose and asking for Kaldorians.

Me and some Kaldorians went there and found about a dozen Vesperians in the Rose claiming they wanted to talk to the Kaldorians.

Duo and Talon and some others went in and talked with them while I told the Vesperians that I nay would fight them inside the tavern.

32rosefc9.jpg

As them nay accepted that they beat me up and threw me down the stairs where Iljian cared for my wounds and helped me back to Trinsic.

I nay know what the Kaldorians and Vesperians agreed, but the Vesperians left the Rose later on.

Only had some slight burns and a few bruises and could return to my duty after a few bandages.

Duo and Gorn still made troubles at the gates and I almost fought Gorn as he refused to listen to my request to remove his helmet in town.

I wrote a banishment for Captain Duo which bans him from town until the matter is solved and ask Lady Reann for advice how to proceed, as I nay know what else there is to do.

Rest of the duty was reasonable quiet and Tiggarn brought me home at the end of my shift.

Kaelyn

*a letter is added to the report*

Dear Lady Reann,

I am at my wits end with the Kaldorian Captain Duo, who refuses to follow the order to nay wear a helmet in town.

We either change the law concerning helmets or maybe write a permit for him or something, but for the meantime I wrote a banishment for him to enter town.

I hope you can advise me how to proceed in this matter,

Kaelyn

*a public note is posted throughout Trinsic*

*a childish drawing of a middle aged man, his face is oddly shaped through a slip of the pencil, a rough beard covers his chin that has been covered over with a alight blue and his hair is scribbled with a dull orange colour, a lop-sided grin adorns his face and his eyes are big and sparkling*

Until further notice the Kaldorian Captain Duo is banned from entering the town of Trinsic

If he is seen in Trinsic he is free to be attacked and stands under no protection.

Talked with Gwen today and she seemed very upset about the Vesperians in her tavern and also about the role the Kaldorians played.

The town was quiet and I decided it was time to promote Yukiko to sergeant as she does her duty very well.

Some Brigands tried to rob Zefar, but he lured them close to town and then helped us to beat them up.

Rest of my duty was quiet.

Had late shift and it seems the paladins on duty nay managed to sort all the things as we got complaints that some more bombs were found.

It seems though all bombs were disarmed and destroyed in the end and nay one came to harm.

Kade handed me a box which was sent to the Duchy by a woman from Luna. It contains some strange armor from some experiment and I put it in the armory, in the crate with the shoes.

One of the kaldorians nay agreed to put down her helmet so I challenged her to a fight out of town and I lost. Spent same time at the healers, getting my bruises treated, but could leave quite soon and when I left I found Captain Duo in town.

I reminded him of the ban and he said that if he had to go, that he would take the Kaldorian army with him and that the agreement to guard Trinsic was void then.

As I nay saw any other solution I agreed to it for the moment and so I guess that Trinsic is nay longer allied to Kaldor at the moment.

Despite what Faeryl claimed Lil’alure is in town again, though he is horrible disfigured. He nay attacked me though I am nay sure what his intentions are, he claims that he is with some cult called Eilistraeean.

I advise that he is to be closely watched and I think it would be good to inform Faeryl about it.

Duty started quiet as most marksmen and Kaldorians had headed off to train or fight. The marksmen went to Tel’Mar as rumour has it some magik corrupts the shrine.

Mathias Janus and Lady Tabbhita came in with a prisoner called Borghor from Haven, but after inquiring with all I decided that I needed to hear the Haven side too. I asked Iljian to get a Haven noble and he returned with Sir Darkion and he and Sir Bevier from Skara finally came to an agreement.

It is sure that Borghor is a magik user and also quite surely a necromancer, still I saw nay reason to hold him and so Sir Bevier agreed that Borghor will be tried in Haven fairly.

So we handed the prisoner over to Haven and hope things will get sorted out by them and Skara.

Gorn was at the gate making some trouble again with refusing to show his face in town and we got into a fight over it. During this fight Tiggarn helped me and Hugo then attacked Tiggarn.

It ended with both Kaldorians hurt and I think that the alliance is fully broken now.

Sir Ikus advised to talk to Paladis again and to maybe change the laws to make it easier, but we need a solution soon before more fights start.

Meygan and her sister Kendra started to brawl in town and Eike thought to help us by disarming Kendra and took away her bow. Kendra attacked him for it and he had to run and if anyone sees him ask him to return the bow, but nay arrest him.

When I got on duty Brynhild reported that sir Janus had been attacked by a demon and beat up. I also think she mentioned that the demon took the paladins armor with him, though nay sure what the demon would want with it.

Sir Janus though was nay badly hurt and could leave the healers soon and put on his spare armor before riding off again.

It seems the demon was the one after Tammy and Sir Janus wanted to impress her by slaying it alone.

I gave orders to shoot the demon on sight and hope we will kill it soon, before more paladins fall prey to him.

Some dog peed on my boots and clothing and I had to get it cleaned and took off some time and walked the streets of Trinsic shopping a little.

Afterwards his Grace had an argument with the Kaldorian Captain Duo and ordered him out of the town limits and to show some common sense.

Tammy reported that a woman had followed her into the woods and tried to attack her, but Tammy managed to flee to the town.

Tammy said the woman said something about an elf seer and that she had to pay.

I ask all guard to see if anyone follows Tammy and ask them their names and what they want in town.

My shift was over then and after a quick drink with Tammy at the tavern I returned home.

Yesterday’s duty was rather quiet and except that some threatened Lady Gwen and asked her strange questions. The man interrogated Gwen and it seems some new danger threatens the elves, but nay one knows anything more of it.

Tammy and Fabienne had a minor quarrel and it ended with Tammy biting Fabienne because she felt threatened.

I ordered both to stay apart and advise all guards to keep them separated.

Today was also quiet and the Rose and town were safe, so I gave Brynhild some time off to be with Corwin. Later on I talked to Brynhild about her relation to the Kaldorians and that she had to be certain where her loyalties lay, but I think she will do well.

Iljian handed me a map for his Grace, which he has to approve of and I will add a copy to this report.

Gerek came later on into town and kept insulting various visitors like Kendra, and Tammy and got beat up twice for it.

Gerek claimed he rescued some Lady in Skara called Celia Hart and he also claimed he let her husband burn in the house. I would like to inquire if such an incident really happened and will try to contact someone in Skara.

*You see what appears to be plans for a lighthouse. They were obviously not made by a professional and include a fair share of corrections, mistakes and cuts.

However, they clearly picture a lighthouse, a slim tower with windows and a round light on top. At its bottom there is a small hut and a free space for supplies and tools*

*a copy of a list is attached to the report, adding up things that are needed for the building. However, it is surprisingly short, apparently only holding things that Iljian really cannot organise himself*

Yesterday lady Alraune and Sir Adammair opened their Salon officially and showed it to the public. Stewan had prepared lots of different foods and also organised lots of different drinks and many tables had been placed in front of the house.

The party started a little slow with some people visiting, but definitely got interesting when some Vesperians decided to drop by and admired the Salon and especially the picture of Lady Alraune.

Luckily nay trouble started and also some Knights from Skara visited and also Lord Darkion from Haven and the two talked about their recent troubles.

Sir Darkion told us that he will set a day for the trial of his guard and inform us about it.

In the meantime Lady Alraune read some fortunes in her cards and Sir Adammair chatted with the guests and entertained them with stories about his life.

Tammy informed me that the one woman that had tried to attack her in the woods was there and I talked to the woman and she said that she had just looked for information and nay would bother anyone here again.

Stewan later informed me that probably the same two had questioned Gwen and some others about some necromancers, but he nay was sure.

It grew late and I only managed to capture a small sketch, but the Salon is open now and can be visited and you can see one of my pictures there.

33salonka5.jpg

Town had been quiet with the festival, though when I returned on duty Gerek was there and asked if he nay could join the guards and also asked Lord Isodore if he could. But I see nay way that I could work with him so I denied his aplication.

Katina told me that a boy had been robbed by some man, though ah nay found the boy or the Thief.

Some men visited town and Hugo started some trouble with them, but when I tried to intervene they all attacked me an knocked me over the head and if not for Jaraxle and Katina they would have taken me prisoner. As I learned later the four were from Vesper and probably had the plan to take me prisoner.

It was only a concussion and the healer sent me away again after I stopped seeing double and told me nay to sleep for a while.

Had a slight headache today when I got on duty and still had my head bandaged and was promptly confronted with a band of Vesperians trying to arrest Tammy. Tammy managed to flee and the Vesperians retreated when Iljian helped me to guard the gates.

Kimi visited the town and she is fine though she told me that two of her five children were stillborn. The other three seem to be fine though and stay in Tokuno for now and Kimi wanted to see Keina to talk to her.

I promoted Athar D’elion to guardsman today and as Sir Orson also got on duty retired sooner to rest.
