  5. For those poor saps who still use Internet explorer , I have a question for you Can you tell me roughly how long it takes to load UOForums' main page, individual forums and threads? (In seconds), what kind of connection you have? (dsl, cable, dial up?) and what version of Internet explorer, to. Thanks!
  6. Just saw this on yahoo news and thought I would let everyone know about this. They are urging everyone switch to something other then Internet Explore. This is why.. "The major press outlets are abuzz this morning with news of a major new security flaw that affects all versions of Internet Explorer from IE5 to the latest beta of IE8. The attack has serious and far-reaching ramifications -- and they're not just theoretical attacks. In fact, the flaw is already in wide use as a tool to steal online game passwords, with some 10,000 websites infected with the code needed to take advantage of t

  8. So I was messing around showing someone how to activate their built in administrator since its hidden. So I give them a demo on how simple it is. So I accessed their CMD from my computer (and no I wont tell ya how to do it:-P ) (Also permission was given. Since the recent thing with Tiberius they wanted to know) I thought it was funny because it was a simple little thing I forgot heh. 10. Original story link SEATTLE (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) will turn to users of its Xbox 360 to create new video games and broaden the types of games available on its console, taking a page out of the strategy books of Facebook and YouTube. The world's largest software maker said on Tuesday that it will start selling "user-generated" games later this year on its online Xbox Live service and share up to 70 percent of revenue with the game developer. Microsoft began offering game production tools in 2006 to amateurs and hobbyists under an initiative called "XNA," which allowed devel
  11. Microsoft late yesterday stirred controversy by telling former customers of its shuttered MSN Music service that it will shut down its license activation system for the service by the end of August. Although it allows customers to play any purchased songs on existing operating systems and computers, any music transfered to a new PC or OS install after the cutoff date will no longer be authorized to play. 12. Greetings, fellow Sonomans! As I contemplate buying a horselord, I'm interested in user feedback. Do you user it? Do you like it? What do you hunt with it? What archer template are you using to get maximum effect? Also - I'm potentially in the market for one, as it's the one ToT major I never thought I'd want and thus never turned in items for one...however, I'd rather not buy the overpriced one in Luna @ 2M. Thoughts? ~M
  13. By JESSICA MINTZ, AP Technology Writer Mon Apr 14, 7:49 AM ET SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp.'s operating systems run most personal computers around the globe and are a cash cow for the world's largest software maker. But you'd never confuse a Windows user with the passionate fans of Mac OS X or even the free Linux operating system. Unless it's someone running Windows XP, a version Microsoft wants to retire. Fans of the six-year-old operating system set to be pulled off store shelves in June have papered the Internet with blog posts, cartoons and petitions recently. They trumpet its super
  14. Troubles range from a simple inability to download the software from Microsoft's Windows Update site to sudden spikes in memory usage. By Paul McDougall InformationWeek March 19, 2008 02:38 PM A day after it was released for public download, Windows Vista SP1 is drawing barbs from some computer users who say the software wrecked their systems. "I downloaded it via Windows Update, and got a bluescreen on the third part of the update," wrote "Iggy33" in a comment posted Wednesday on Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT)'s Vista team blog. Iggy33 was just one of dozens of posters complaining abo

  17. The http://www.paxlair.com home page now displays current online users in the PaxLair IRC Channel on Stratics. The module is displayed on the right side of the front page. 20. Heh bit extreme, if true RIAA sues Youtube users Thursday June 15th 2006, 2:45 pm Filed under: News By: Jayesh Mansukhani It seems our friends over at the RIAA just cannot get enough. The latest BS to emerge from there are cease-and-desist letters to Youtube users who have dared to put up videos of things such as themselves dancing to music they haven’t licensed. Clearly an insanity plea no longer covers the RIAA’s stupidity. From trying to orchestrate illegal takedowns in other countries a la The Pirate Bay to sending cease-and-desist letters to some poor user who has just recorded hi
