  1. This is still hilarious. I like the part where Europa got served so hard they ran onto the forums en masse to post about it.
  2. (This story is from the perspective of one character of many. Highly adult-oriented subjects including but not limited to language, violence and humor below. Reader discretion is STRONGLY advised, i.e., only read if you're over 18-years-old.) Brandon drummed his knuckles on the bar idly, leaning on it as he watched Declan, Elaine, Van and Madeline Cocidius, the foreigner militia and the mystic militia waltz back into the Swaggers. He had already evicted Declan from the property, but with his many friends at his side, the man had apparently found the courage to return. I know where this
  3. Fay and Brandon stood at the Swaggers, now void of any activity. The iron smell of blood and sulfur from the black powder still lingered in the air. The woman stepped forward, taking up a billet from the wall and held it between her and her captain, who was watching around idly, peeling back a banana and taking another bite of it. "'Arrest warrant for the Black Wind Crew'," she began, trailing off as her captain chewed his food, reading it silently with her. After a second he swallowed and pointed at the top of the piece of paper. "She spelled 'warrant' wrong," he replied casually, pulling
  4. Different Black Wind. *Grins* Cool pictures, though.
  5. The fast-sailing brig, the BLACK WIND, is seeking able-bodied men and women to crew her decks. All skills and talents of all levels are welcomed. Weekly salaries standard and bonuses offered for jobs well done. Training provided for use in small arms, blunderbusses, pikes and assorted explosives. Ex-military, traders, artisans, musicians, navigators, cartographers, entertainers, carpenters, prospectors, surgeons, and most of all, sailors are wanted! The BLACK WIND sails for private and government contracts, including personal and public business and trade as well as providing military assi
  6. Maybe the beer is such precious cargo the only option is negotiation instead of risking a three-shot burst to the pint?
  7. (This story is from the perspective of one character of many. Highly adult-oriented subjects including but not limited to language, violence and humor below. Reader discretion is STRONGLY advised, i.e., only read if you're over 18-years-old.) What the hell is wrong with these militia? Brandon leaned on the bar, watching Fay and a gentleman at the Swaggers poking fun at the always-wounded and bloodied Ken Callaghan. One minute he was playful and jovial; the next, demanding silence or threatening violence. Sadly, this single private was almost a perfect example of much of Vesper's armed forc
  8. Then we just go to freeshards! Yay, free honey for everyone! Mayor Bee, Mayo- oh, sorry...
  9. In my experience, most people I've chatted with would pay for an "official freeshard" - that is, a shard that caters to pre-AoS without all the bugs, is updated but not in the AoS vein. Many "donate", after all. Not saying -all- would, but more than some might expect. I know I would.
  10. The funny thing is, this actually applies. Switch out the UO-related jargon for real life alternatives and voila, no truer words have ever been spoken on the matter, haha.
  11. 1. American Psycho 2. Pulp Fiction 3. Shawshank Redemption 4. Forrest Gump 5. Venus Wars (not an anime fan, but couldn't think of another movie that wouldn't bump heads with others that could be on the list, and I saw Gnomy mention an anime himself)
  12. "Bruno's father passed away." "Oh no, that's terrible." "Yeah, he's going through a rough time right now." "I'll keep him and his family in my prayers." That's "no class"? And just like in person, it's a matter of "Don't tell anyone else this..." And if you trust the person that much, guess what? Y'aren't talking to him in a PM. Over the phone or in-person. Because if all they are is a 'net friend, you don't know him/her/it at all. I always liked the whole "Can you keep a secret?" "Yeah." "So can I." idea. Want it secret, take the first step and don't mention it. After all, that's how
  13. I voted classy. Passing secret messages is 6th grade. Who cares if someone knows a secret? If it's THAT confidential, why are you sending it to people over PM?
  14. It's good to see gaming as a sociological study being taken more seriously.
  15. *Watches him do pull-ups* ...no. no NO NO NO NO NO!!!! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU!!? My palms got sweaty just imagining holding on. Ugh... I need a nap...
