My Kingdom Reborn keeps defaulting to the Japanese Client! My home setting is the US. I have installed Japanese Language support in the past, but I made sure my home setting was US. Which setting do I have to reset to get Kingdom Reborn to display the English Client?

My 2-D version works fine, although I do get the Japanese splash screen when I boot up, but when I play its English. (This switch happened last year when I installed the Japanese Language Support for windows and changed a few settings.)

Do I need to re-install or just change the internal setting in my Windows?

Hello there!
First, make sure that in the "Main Menu" under "Options" it says Language "English" in the drop down.

If it does and you still have issues, try going into the folder called "user".
Program Files\Ultima Online Kingdom Reborn\user

In there you will see a file called "UserSettings.xml" Open this file with a text editor. You'll then see near the bottom an entry titled:

<Options>
<Language type="*****" />

*****= the language you want.
It should say English, if it doesn't add that and then save the file.
Let me know if that works for you.

Why do you keep posting news here from other forums? Is it just to get posts, Seems alright if it was important news but i'm sure anyone could go to wherever you quoted from and find out if they really wanted to know.

Tabby's a news reporter. She finds out info we might not otherwise know. I know I, for one, don't go to those "other" forums because I gete tired of weeding thru the whining and BS. This single post may not be burning hot news, but it helps those of us who have been having similar problems.

Please do keep posting the news here. It would take me hours to read the same info on Stratics (first to weed through the BS, and second to wait for their darned forum pages to load). I prefer reading my news here at UOF :)
