How much memory you got in it? That should run the final version. The best performance boost you can get in one shut is to max out your system meory.

RAM is definitely a huge factor in system lag.

Yes I now have a Nvida 5500 AGP card, and am experiencing lag.I think it will resolve itself though as they tweak and twiddle things in the client, over the coming weeks.

After running some tests I realized that Video card plays a very important role in KR.
I have a nvidia 5200 and it lags a lot, I borrowed a Ati9600 XT from a fried and it seems I had a new computer.
You can find this card on ebay for under 50€.

I don't want to bore anyone with technical stuff, but here's some good reading:

I've found this information usefull, I hope it will be useful for anyone out there too. :)

I have a 8800 gtx and the game is somewhat smooth. Yet the overall experience still seems more laggy than on the 2D client :(

I will say that I upgraded my video card yesterday, from a 256MB Nvidia GeForce 6600 to a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 7950GT, and it makes a WORLD of difference.

Also, make sure you've got the resolution set in KR to properly match your monitor settings. KR does NOT automatically adjust to match your settings.

Snuggs: It depends on which 7300 LE you got. There are some that only have 128Mb of RAM on-board and then steal the rest from system memory. nVidias TurboCaching thingy that I am not a big fan of...

Spree: If you Mother Board supports 8x AGP Id say go ahead a get a new card. They really have come down in proce a bit and you will certainly notice a difference.

http://www.newegg.co...And&Order=PRICE

That is a list of 256Mb 8xAGP cards. Make sure to read the user reviews that hare on there to get an idea of what people think of the individual cards...

Sorry Snuggsm but Dell snookered you. Just grabbed this off their site from the little not about their 7300 LE version:

The total of local and shared system memory used by this graphics card is up to 256MB. Local on-board memory is 64MB. Up to 192MB of system memory is allocated to support graphics.

Id be looking at picking up a new vid card in the near future...let me know when youre ready and we can look at a few and see what you want....

Yeah, Id say that upgrading is definitely an option then.

What Id do is look at how much it would cost to go up to around 1Gb of RAM and a 256 or 512Mb vid card. Then look and see how much it would cost to buy a whole new tower. If the difference is big, upgrade; small difference, think about saving up and buying a new one.

www.ibuypower.com isnt a bad place to check out. Youve got to keep an eye on the parts they are giving you with the boxes tho...

I like www.zipzoomfly.com - free 2nd day fed ex shipping, and I've had great luck with computer parts I've bought there.
