Yeah, Ive always throught that those look awfully strange. Maybe back when they were in use there was some good reason for it, but it makes you look like that coppery colored robot from Mystery Science Theatre 3000....

What I've wondered from my first days in UO is why NPC blacksmiths wear bascinets. Did we have a dev that thought they looked like welding helmets? :grin:

I even asked Leurocian about this, and he couldn't answer, not having been from that period. Maybe I'll ask Raph Koster.
