I'd say that's a waste of 120 skillpoints if you wanna have fencing just to bleed ppl.
Besides I never found fencing useful for anything else than in a dexxer build.

Imo pure wrestlemage is still the best magetemplate there is.
120 magery, eval, resist, medit, wrestling & gm inscribe.
And the rest (whatever is left in your skillcap) to focus or chiv.
I used focus with my mage, it gave a nice bonus for mana regen, and stamina too ofc.
Some ppl use chiv to have better edge against necros, to get rid of all the fizzling caused by strangle, but i never preferred a chiv with my mage.

I don't really want to play a puremage. I always liked necro mage, weapon mage, etc.

I just find the problem with my necro is getting interrupted by dexers.

u will allways get interrupted by dexers unless you disarm them, para them, or run enough to get the spell off before they hit u again.

btw...anat is stupid.
I dont even know that the eval+anat=defensive wrestle thing is still in effect...that was like a uo:r thing, heh.

I would think id be better to just run and chug till u can re-arm and put all that skill to something more useful than ANAT on a mage...

also...thought I told you, ninjitsu is the only way to go for any viable "field" template.

And you can let someone dismount you and then turn into a dog and run away!

That always pisses people off.

120 eval
120 magery
120 ninjitsu
120 swords
80 poison
110 resist
50 bushido

SC butcher knife with high hit spell, HCI, for poison/disarm
SC bokuto with high hit spell, HCI, ssi, for nervestrike

Hybrid warrior mage, due to low MR, very hard to use, but if you are good with it, very nice.

edit: if a dexxer disarms you, you better run like mad. Luckily you can chug a pot, and run. If you get dismounted, wolf form and run. Very fun template, but very hard to get the right gear.

How about:
120 magery
120 eval
120 resist
120 medit
120 macing / archery
120 tactics
anat or focus as 7th skill, as you like.

Prolly not the best/easiest build around and finding a proper suit can be a bit difficult. But fun as hell.

My friend actually uses that template. He runs with a diamond mace and his concussion blows actually deals a good amount of damage, but man, I dont like it cause its just sooo hard to kill anyone. He's thinking about taking off either resist of med for parry, but man, that's just going too nutty with the hybrids.

Here is what I think I decided on:

120 mage
120 med
120 eval
120 resist
120 fencing
80 poisoning

That leaves me with 40 pts left over, maybe for focus or something? I don't know.

I'm also going to wear AoF, carry a shield of invul, and a few other items so I can pull 45 DCI.

Thoughts?

Not a good item to wear in pvp battle. too low resists

Have you seen the resists on a rune beetle carapice????? They awful, ROFL. But their stats make up for that.

Currently I run a necro mage, he's fairly gimp, but I can't play him. My guild mates tell me its one of the best long standing templates, but the armor that you wear is the only way to make it any good.

120 Necro
120 SS
110 Eval
110 Mage
120 Resists
80 Med
80 Wrestling
(Tempted to lock Necro at 110 and take magery and eval 5 higher.)
I can disarm fairly regularly.
He does massive damage if i get my combo's right.

I have a MR 6, 65's suit with capped LMC and LRC.
I run with a Scrappers, with +11 eval. No shield allows me to chug. I should chug blue pots to get extra dex. I'm tempted to drop the med and run in Vamp form, using SS and pots to heal. Hard to do tho.

My next char is going to be a Scribe Mage, running with a Staff and Nujitsu *Winks at Cutter*

Agreed, but gives me the extra DCI that I need. I want to max out DCI at 45.

I might go this route instead:

120 mage
120 eval
120 resist
120 fencing
100 scribe
80 poisoning
60 med

I will get max SDI with items and extra SDI from 100 scribe.

Oliver, AOF is great for pvp. 40 lrc and 15 dci are tremendous mods. You simply make up the resists with the other pieces.

In my suit I use the AOF, Pendant and Fey Legs. They all have terrible or no resists but they have the mods I want. Besides my suit still has 60+ in all resists in spite of those pieces.
