I recently returned to these lands and have found it extremely quiet. This is quite disturbing...

Where are you checking for activity? Luna is the most populated, but also general chat is good to find people on.

I can't speak for Chessy, but on Pacific, it is indeed general chat where the community connects these days.  Everyone is usually off doing whatever errands they have in-game, but the shard regulars all chatter via general chat now.  The other place to look on Pacific is at the turtle spawn right now in Eodon.

Most UO shards are very empty. I can more or less cross the map in Felucca Europa and see no other players in an hour's visit. Except you might find some people at Yew gate occasionally. Trammel wise try Luna. Realistically some shards have a very low population spread out over a very wide area. The more I think about it the more it occurs to me that the UO game map is really quite large and unless I am mistaken has become more and more a solo player game? Whereas back in the day you NEEDED a team [or at least a few peeps] to take down something like an Ancient Wyrm or whatever they were called. Is this the case now? Is UO a solo player game?

My thanks and appreciation to all the replies. I wandered these lands many years ago and have just recently returned. I would love to learn from the wisdom of some of the elders of Chesapeake. I will investigate this "General Chat" you spoke about.

Many thanks,

Lamhfada
