Lord Chaos 10,441
What do you think of the new forum, its functionality and skin? Please elaborate your response below.
callumf 436
It looks brilliant but for an old dog like me its a bit different and I am not used to adapting to new stuff like I used to. [it took me quite a while to see the tiny "View New Content" button on the top right hand side which I did find VERY frustrating.]
Silverfoot 4,051
I'm an IPBoard fan. Lots of options and fairly secure system. Just costs $$ each year to keep current.
Warsong of LS 1,861
just going to take some getting use too. Plus I did have a issue with logging in on my account after we converted over, but Adam sorted that out! Thanks Adam!
Guest
I added a theme I bought called Aplitex Earth, which has earthy tones and stuff. You can change the theme from the menu at the bottom left of the page.
Guest
Fixed the logo dissapearing on different pages.
Kayhynn 1,089
It looks brilliant but for an old dog like me its a bit different and I am not used to adapting to new stuff like I used to. [it took me quite a while to see the tiny "View New Content" button on the top right hand side which I did find VERY frustrating.] I use IPB boards frequently and i had hard time seeing the text up there too. maybe we can change the color and bold it to make it better? I dunno. Fixed the logo dissapearing on different pages. Thanks Adam!
Guest
Bolding it kinda helped, but didn't make it all that clear, so I added the same link to the userbar at the top, next to Log out
Nok 4,982
Like the forum, functionality, and theme... except for the Hildebrandt as a background. Difficult to read the header and section text depending on where it scrolls over certain colors on the background.
Guest
Is it any better now? I've added more blurring to the header image.
Guest
Added two UO related images as backgrounds. You can change the background picture by clicking the paint brush at the top right of the page.
Nok 4,982
Couldn't tell much of a difference. I changed the background to the beach.
Guest
Try the Aplitex Earth theme, it's easier to use/read, I find.
Nok 4,982
Try the Aplitex Earth theme, it's easier to use/read, I find.Looks good. Reminiscent of one of the old UOF themes. Exceptionally easy to read.
Guest
Added a really dark theme called Graphite (This theme also allows some user customization, like font size/colour etc) Also, you can now hide forums from view, via - http://www.uoforums.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=rfbi

Tancred RedStar 3,305
It looks nice, but I feel like this msgboard gets a major overhaul every other year that isn't entirely necessary. There is an old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" that sort of applies here. Also, I have to re-login every time I come here now.
Kayhynn 1,089
Tancred: The problem was it was broken. VBB isn't being supported and was causing a lot of crashing on the database and server and was very vulnerable security wise. Last few months we had posts magically disappearing for no reason, people loosing ability to post period, etc. for no real reason. So it was time for an upgrade to a better forum software. I had similar issues with logins but Adam did something that fixed it, so it should be fixed now.
Baruk_S 882
It took me a few days to get accustomed to the new layout, but I think I have most the functionalities I use figured out.Now the new boards are fine to me... but as long as I can read the content of these pages, I really don't care much which platform brings it.. Anna Goodward 970
Looks great. But I would have a question. It's a minor thing so but would it be possible to modify the layout of the "new content" view a little? The part where it shows in which board a post was made (Post title in bla bla). Is it possible to set the board name a bit off into a column so you can overview this a little better?Just a thought Toodles
JCtheBuilder 1,063
Why does it show all the topics from 2010/2011 when you are logged out?
