My gains have slowed to a snail pace after I've hit 100.0 spellweaving.

Is there a better way to raise the skill other then spamming WoD on an arcane circle and healing every 2 minutes? It pretty much sucks...

I train in heartwood, also.

depending on what u trained first you can stone enough necro to go into lich form and cast a shadow wisp. also make sure you have 120 focus and meditation on the char your training spellweaving on. and have at least 16 on your suit but with the new stuff you can hit well over 25 if you looked for cursed items that no one wants.

and have 40 lmc.

I do not think there is an easy fast way to train it without an exploit.

You really need a great MR/LMC/mana+ suit and train with a pet.

@ dragkiris i don't have any focus, i run mage/eval/necro/SS/med/weave

OK, i just didn't know if something new had come along that could speed things up a bit.

@wat, what does a pet do?

Not sure what I can and can`t say.

You wont have to worry about healing if you use a pet.

if you have a pet you can evil omen mana vamp them to recover mana. Also focus gives half the MR that med does so 120 focus is like adding another 60 med to your template.

If possible stone off magery while your training and let focus raise, also find some cursed weps and shields with like 9 mr on them or something retarded.

What does training in Heartwood have to do with it? Very curious as I am working spellweaving myself.

I believe personally that the arcane circle in heartwood gives better gains then other circles, because that's where the skill originated

Might just be me being superstitious

The circle is just the focus. Has nothing to do with skillgains. Once you get the focus your done with the circle.

Not sure if this still works but if you get discorded look for a satyr and then cast that will drop your over all skill and let you gain a bit faster used to work .good casting it is worth the time

Can someone elaborate on this please? I don't macro unattended and i have zero outside UO programs, so I'm not worried about doing anything wrong.. but it would be really nice not to have to heal every 2 minutes and gain a little bit more then .3 a day.

I'm fine on the training, but I have a concern with WoD

i was casting 400+ damage on the zombie skeletons yesterday once they got low health, so I know it works. but last night i was fighting the boss in humility and it was CLEARLY below 1/3 health (more like 1/20th health) and my WoD spell was only doing 12 damage, with all the same equipment.

What's up with that?

did you have a focus... certain things may have (not sure) been made immune to WOD
