Earlier today I saw Sage Draven gating to a fell castle they were selling.

 

I contact them on ICQ : 641977248 (also advertising : 585179661) and had the following conversation:

 

I'm usually very cautious but this time i took a risk, very stupid of me i know but still. Watch out for this guy.

I then emailed with no responce

 

I opened a dispute on paypal which they promptly escalated.

 

I've attached a screenshot of the castle it is to the North of Trinsic - Although i beleive they also own one to the south (A name with Draven name in it there)

 

There are 2 icq numbers on the castle, the one i was speaking on and also 585179661

 

The email address used was disaster1010@gmail.com they also had cubsfan2002@gmail.com as their contact email on ICQ.

 

Their full name is <removed>

 

I tracked down this post on a different forum, if anyone has an account please post letting people know it is a scam

Hope lots of info comes out about this theif and he can't do the same to others.

Just to update on this.

 

After various messages sent to <name removed> i received an ICQ saying refund issued.

 

This showed as pending untill today when i received an email saying:

 

"An eCheck payment from <name removed> was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 working days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment."

 

The resolution centre is now showing the complaint as in my favour too.

 

The refund is still showing as pending.

Guys, this person is always "selling" that castle. It appears like two or three people are involved in this. They are 100% scammer. They claim to use a broker but none that are well known like Nabin or Supsoc. Do NOT send this person paypal as gift. He takes the money and runs. Since its a "gift" there is nothing you can do really, unless your banking or credit card will reverse the payment.

 

 

This is on Atlantic, northeast of trinsic, right below the swamps.

Because we aren't lawyers, and we don't have the capability to actually confirm what is still hearsay when it comes to a 'confirmed' scammer - posting RL information leaves people open to all sorts of legal issues, especially if the 'confirmation' is incorrect.

Perhaps the admins/owners would be willing to update the ToS that when sufficient evidence is supplied (deemed sufficient by admins) personal information on accused scammers can be shared publicly.

 

Some of these scammer stories make me (almost literally) sick to my stomach.  There should be no protection for them.

Simply put, unless someone is willing to provide video, with audio, and (at minimum) a certified or notarized letter from a verifiable legal professional, then the likelihood of ever being able to make such a post, on this particular forum, is pretty much nil.  If the fear of scammers is that great, the simplest answer is to not trade.  Other options include dealing only with people that are trusted traders - Kahlan, one of the admins here, is such a person, for example.

 

Beyond that, there's no real reason to ask for more.  If you're trading for massive amounts of gold, cover your butt.  If you're doing RMT, then no sympathy will be offered - it's against the ToS of Mythic/UO.
