I'd like to talk about some of the pro's and cons of archer vs melee in pvp as far as stealth is concerned. I've been having lots of fun with a stealth archer despite my limited experience playing one and low skill caps. Build looks like

Arch
Tac
Anat
Nin
Hiding
Stealth

.... theres room in the build and some left to be desired. After speaking with experienced stealthers on my shard they told me i wouldnt need a form of healing because im a stealther and i can see where they are coming from.... I elude most ganks and slip away when needed. Back to the topic though, would melee enhance my game? I'd hate to give up range but Nerve strike seems to be all the rage and i would also have access to disarm..... Also, i could make use of the other nin moves like surprise and focus attack which seem really useful.

What are your experiences with stealth meleer's in pvp? It seems as an archer i just dismount and chase with moving shot.... Well, meleers get to attack on the run for free, para, disarm, maybe even DP... etc. I just wonder how practical this might be in trying to actually stand near a guy running all the time....

Thanks

I find it very hard to fight a running opponent with a melee char. Nerve strike is quite hip, but only in combination with mysticism (they use spell plague for extra damage). And to be honest, that template's kinda lame.

What you can do, is to add fencing to your template für disarm and bleed. It's a pretty old school template but with a fast weapon switching target you can go: bleed or disarm, then change to heavy x-bow, dismount, moving shot.
