The article was very helpful in getting started. I just wasn't expecting THAT magnitude of a fight, even after jacking all my combat skills to 120! Hehehe...

My guess would be:

Take two cross-healing dexxers and one or two healing mages as backup and they will go down.

Large pot with burner underneath filled 1/3 with cooking oil. That bird will drop dead at the sight of it! =)

Bird slayer talisman doesn't seem to work. That's kind of a let down. These things are very useful anyway (only for swoop and most peeps use tamers there), so it would have been nice if they'd worked in this case.

Ok, we used like 5 or 6 players, two archers, two tamers with greater dragons (dragons trained to 100+ GM this and that) two mages, lots of death. Dragons attacked and tamers get pulled in each time even running away to get rez pulled in while dead. We got maps and map fragments. Talk to the Al Wilson at the Moonglow Zoo and try to get a brush from him to locate the hidden nests. Located the nests and got a feather at the nest. what does this feather do or where you turn this in? And friend used feather and he turned invisbible and it got destroyed. :huh

easiest way to bring them down... you will need an archer or mage... cast a couple of spells or shoot it with a couple of arrows lead it to a moongate or town (in guard zone) call guards, the guards kill the turkey and you get the drops easy :)

it seems at last the devs have made a creature that tamers will find impossible to kill at last good job two thumbs up for that :)

second method i used is keeping it at maxium bow range and just pelt it with greater explode potions i am a archer alchemist with 50 ep, gm alch... total ep = 80, and can bring it down with in 10 mins on my own

Not sure if you tried this out on TC or on a prodo shard but this doesn't work. Just finished testing it and the guards do not respond. I had other mobs follow me into town and then called the guards on them and it worked fine. Would love to know what you are doing differently to get the guards to attack them.

What my friend and I have been doing is with two archers, we each attack from the opposite side. The turkey can't decide which one of us to attack and paces around confused between us. It would work better if one of us had a disco-bard.

Gilbert and I were trying to use the guard whack technique and he would attack it drag it to where I was in the guard zone and I was calling guard as soon as it damaged me. This has worked everywhere except at the moonglow library. We even got a healer damaged and no guard whacking :(

So, we killed it with the drive-by shooting method and deadly poison.....twas fun really. Kept trying to find a spot to get it stuck but never could.

Honestly, IMO if it gets guard whacked the corpse should disappear like every other guardwhacked critter. I'd almost venture discussion on how to circumvent the "spirit of the game" clause borders on exploit discussion, but again, just IMO.

Regarding the Turkeys - today I sat at the back of a group of people killing Turkeys. I did some healing and cast a few meteor storms and so on. I did not get looting right... but I still found a tattered map fragment in my backpack when I got 'home'. So that's interesting - not in a party or anything.

Anyone know how many fragments make a full map?

think it is 5 fragemnts but not 100% sure, you have to be in the top 20 of damage on each bird to get a map fragement, I know that for a fact.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment

I rather like the fact that this one is done with a group, whereas the Halloween was more solo-able. Something for everyone!
