Kayne 5
I am checking interest in buying from or helping with a store thats really just for RPers Selling stuff like good resist suits, weps, potions, regs etc at good prices, the stuff rpers need that sometimes are not right there Now i dont know if there is really a market for it! so im checking, guna post in a few places. Probably would not really be profitable, more just for the community I figure a neutral location is best, i own a house in luna that i would be willing to dedicate the downstairs to RP vendors or something, the roof has the "uber" vendors if your interested post here or icq me 387-985-674 thanks! Reed 274
Similar to what S&K do.We sell mainly balanced suits, check with Devante and Lydia, they are the sellers.
Van Cocidius 834
The RP community like to by normal furniture for their houses too, and for those without crafters they have to drag themself from shop to shop looking for the stuff! Bad memories from before I got myself a crafter character And now people know I have a crafter it's "Van, can you make me this.. make me that?".
Raiden 5
I think a dedicated RP store is a good idea. While we try to provide work for our civilians in Cove by placing orders with them, sometimes it's not always practical, especially for more specialised goods and I just hate the thought of using mule alts providing for main characters. Perhaps you could provide free vendor spots for RP traders to peddle their wares too? I'd be interested in one for my trader. I think good RP suits, weapons, bolts, arrows, potions, regs, recalls, petals, fruit bowls, enchanted apples, furniture, decor, plants and probably many other "non magical" items would sell well. Hopefully at prices RPers can afford.
Escaflowne/Balgus 375
Dedicated RP store could be really good aye, but its also nice to RP out purchases like ordering and delivering. So like ordering a load of balanced suits from S&K, and then picking them up and transporting them back. Ordering a couple of crates of ale from the Swaggers and having them deliver it to you. Makes a nice little event out of it and creates RP. But people can't always do that so a dedicated RP store could be nice for supplies and furniture with suitable prices of course. Kayne 5
Yea the balanced suits came from Dev or thats where i thought of it haha i used to buy my suits there All the RP vendors would of course be free, any artie type none RP stuff would need to go upstairs, but the more vendors other people put in the better I have a mule so can do a lot of the mule stuff, but looking for people who would be willing to stock vendors. Would be great to RP around it too, however i dont know how well that would work in some cases. But i thought i would check interest and line up some help before actually doing anything RAA used to be where i bought my RP stuff but less and less of the stuff i need seems to be there :/ My only concern using my luna house is putting cheap prices that draw non rpers buying out potions arrows and stuff like that so location is completely open to debate too i just figured having a completely neutral spot be good, like when S&K left trinsic area in an RP sence trinsic guards should not buy them, just for example
Van Cocidius 834
Ordering a couple of crates of ale from the Swaggers and having them deliver it to you. Hahahahaha..!! But seriously, a RPer-friendly shop is something we need. Yeah we can get bits and bobs from scattered places such as RAA and Co. but would be really helpful and handy to have it all on sale at the one place. If you want to engage in the RP of it then that's up to you mate, but in all fairness it's not for everyone, most would love to just head to a vendor, get what they need and leave. Would be willing to help you best I can, and I'm sure many others are.
William 5
I like the sounds of this, whenever I start a new charactor i hate the complete ooc drag through all the stores while wearing really bad armor, just to find something which is not actually what I want. Thaur Macil 89
My only concern using my luna house is putting cheap prices that draw non rpers buying out potions arrows and stuff like that No need to have low prices, just have reasonable prices and it won't really matter. Most RPers I know are richer than many dedicated PvMers. And I'd love a RP shop. I've always used RAA, but I agree that the shop now and then is out of what you need, and looking for other shops that sell the same as RAA is a real pain..
Kayne 5
Ok well i think we have the interest in it at least. I have my Duchy Supplies char i can just not mark the items so can supply from that If we had anyone who likes mining that would be great haha So if anyone who actually wants to help with a vendor or supply wants to ICQ me, im guna move the chests in the bottom of my shop to my keep so we can get that started if people want too will have dye tubs etc down there too i think 387-985-
Kayne 5
So far i only have help in the weps area Got some good interest from uoforums people so hopfully get some help their but to actually have agood shop we need at least a few people workin on it i think One great thing would be to have resource suppliers. not just to sell but to supply for crafters (or themselves if they are crafters) help keep costs down
Van Cocidius 834
I have a blacksmith/tailor/carpenter/tinker.. so if you need any help mate, send me a PM or an ICQ.
Zorgh 251
Did this get off the ground or just fallen into the abyss?
Baruk_S 882
A dedicated store would be good, but the only way I see is if you run the store yourself. Those vendors do not accept the silvers our community runs on these days.
Elise 67
You know, it was always a sideline dream of mine to have an RP specific store somewhere, staffed with players and operating opening hours, with a few vendors in place for when there's no players there. Neutral ground, of course, and somewhere any crafter who RPs could use as a base of operations. Sort of an RP community co-operative. I dunno if there's the people any more, sadly, but if enough folks think there's still a market for it, I'll gladly pitch in with goods and hours. Possibility of a barter system alongside the silver, too, perhaps, so if you bring in 50 logs and want a table, you only pay a token fee in silver for the workmanship? Park Su-mi 1,106
I'd recommend talking to Floria / Tanya from Grd who I believe was putting together an IC shop unless I imagined that. She'd like your ideas, Elise.
Elise 67
Shall do. Ta for that
Tanya 725
Hi Elise, We're actually starting one up in Yew at the moment. We currently have three people pitching in with different vendors and the store made ICly (with vendors). The hope is once we get enough people helping to run it, that we'd also have opening hours IC so it won't just be vendor run. (And we can use silver.) We're hoping to be able to serve all the different needs, from the obvious (weapons, regs, potions) to the things we're sadly lacking since Ulyss closed (furniture, deeds, special cloth, RP armour, full mage books without mods.) Anyone is welcome to join in and we'd love to have you on board as well if you're interested! You - and anyone else - can reach me on ICQ: 195 710
Tanya 725
Oh snap! Thanks Su-mi
Vierna 12
I still have my old RAA legendary crafter, so if you want to utilise his skills just let me know. Incidentally RAA and RAAM are still going. Molly Foxglove, the driving force behind the RAA vendors, is still very much involved along with old hand Lien Ragus. So the RAA quality is still there, just no longer at Ulysses place. I have a rune for the new RAA shop if anyone wants one.
Park Su-mi 1,106
Whilst the new RAA shop is still one of the best RP friendly shops on the server, to be fair it is significantly less resourced than it's predecessor.
Van Cocidius 834
BOOM!
dalmurray 5
I have a rune for the new RAA shop if anyone wants one. I wouldn't mind one! I miss the old shop, can never find what I want these days or it takes much longer. But back to the original subject, I think it's a great idea/project, and wish you all the best with it.
