Hello,

I played UO from 1999-2004(ish) on the Europa shard. Most of my time there was spent PvPing in factions or O/C. I tried the game again last year for a brief period but I couldnt find anyone to team up with. Plus I have moved out of Europe so my connection to my old shard is unplayable.

I'd like to try UO again and I've read a lot about the recent expansions like SE and ML. I'm wondering if there are any guilds or people here who could help me get back into the game. I'm most interested in playing on pacific as I have a fairly good connection to that shard. I haven't reactivated my account yet but I'm planning on doing it soon. This time round I'm interested in playing UO in a more PvM orientated fashion as it was a part of the game I mostly ignored when I was active before.

Hope to hear from some of you guys soon.

Thanks!

There are many great guilds on Pacific, pvp or other. I'm from the Twilight Fellowship myself and we're a roleplaying guild. In general, I'd recommend Aspa's HoFD guild. She's really great and they are quite active. Are you starting a brand new account or reactivating an old one? If there's anything you need, let us know, and you're more than welcome to join our events and hunts.

Well, I will speak up for Lake Superior shard. There is a great group of players that organize weekly events (mainly pvm) for any and all comers, guilded or not. No pressure from anyone just come when you can, a great group of people. Sadly I have missed many of these events in the last year (new job, hours) but they still post a list of events every week here. Which ever shard you choose, let me be the first to say Welcome Back! What took you so long? :)
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment

Welcome back.

Many things will have changed in UO when you come back.
Some parts of it will be new and exciting, others you may miss because they got "improved" or neglected.
It's still a good game, though, hope you enjoy it when you come back! :)

Oh and who knows, soon we may have ridable purple llamas too!

Thanks for all the messages. I will probably reactivate an account. I see you can move characters between shards now. Maybe I will do that.

How would I get in touch with people is ICQ still the preferred method of communication outside of the game?

Yes, everyone in UO seems to still use ICQ :)

I am on Pacific and Catskills (and sometimes Europa)

Some warning, you just can not move your characters to a different shard you have to pay EAMythic for a token for eachcharacter that you wish to move then you use the token in game and your character can then move to their new shard.

Many people still use icq it just depends on which guild you join up with.

Yeah I saw that I needed to pay for each token. Well I guess I will end up doing that as I already have some scrolls and items on that character.

Which shard do you plan to move to? If I may ask.
