Hello everyone,

I am considering to come back to UO. I cannot help it, but at times I really mis the lands where I traveled for so long. UO was my very first MMO.

But I have a question. Can I install just my old "Third Dawn" CD en then letting the patching just do its work? According my subscription I have "Mondain’s Legacy Registration" as latest registered.

If not, where can I get the files I need to install UO again?

Thanks,

Morwen Demsterwold.

If you are going to try installing the Third Dawn client, then no. That client isn't supported anymore and was replaced by the KR client (which is soon to be replaced by the SA client). If, however, you're going to install the 2d client off your Third Dawn disk, then it should patch up.

What shard do you play? There is an EA event going on this weekend, though about half the shards had it yesterday. You can hop over to UO.com and see if you can still make it on your shard.

I found that I can download the client through the UO-website. But I will take a look at both clients to see which I like most.

I am played on Europe and sometimes on Great Lakes.

Next question.... Is UOAssist still around and is it still usable?

Thanks for answering my questions.

Hehe... even found my old signature back :)

Welcome back to UO, Morwen :)
And welcome to UOForums.

UOAssist is still around, but only works on the 2D client.

Thank you for all the nice words.

Just been in game again (with the 2D client). An awesome experience.... I browsed through the runebooks in my bags. So many familiar names and spots.

And all is still there... my bank is still as overloaded as the day I left. And what is more important, all my pets are still there... included Wammes, my fully trained white wyrm (all skills on 100%).

I hope you don't mind I throw some more questions at you...

Is it still as hard to find a spot for a house? I would love to have a house again....

I just played with the 2D client. But I still would like to take a look at the current 3D client. Is there a way to get it?

Hmm.... hmm.... I will come up with more questions. Count on that :P

It is good to be back. I won't leave Everquest II though. I love that game as well. But as I am spending many evenings in hotels for my work... there is room for 2 games :P

Morwen.

You can download the 3D client from fileplanet link.

Its very easy to find house spots, some small and some large. I sometimes recall to a old shop to find out nothing is there anymore. Near to towns are really busy as always. However this could be different for different shards.

Sad news, though. Your White Wyrm has been replaced by a new beast: the Greater Dragon.

Hmmmpppffff..... My White Wyrm replaced????? NEVA...

Just kidding, but I will keep Wammes. She was the first White Wyrm I ever tamed.

Now I am curious. With all these new beasts I hear about... did they enlarge amount of pets you can stable?

Even if u are not at 120 (vet, lore, taming) real skill, you can always get a ring and bracelot to put you up the highest skill so you can stall extra pets. I keep the ring and bracelot in my bank and when I need to stall a pet I put them on and stall my pet. You dont need the ring and bracelot to take the pet out though.
I have got all my skills up to 120 except for taming so hopefully pretty soon I won't have to worry about wearing them to stall my pets. Btw greater dragons are great to have but its the only pet you can have it requires 5 pet slots. So you can't even ride a pet with your greater dragon out
