I just returned to UO, and I'm really rusty with stuff. I've tried trogs, but I can only summon one EV with a pack horse out, and it doesn't kill quick enough.

1. Run through the Despise casting EV's on the lizardman level, then run back looting corpses for 100 gold each plus a shot at a Virtue Artifact drop.

2. Ask a town crier for news and find out where an invasion is taking place by the Shadowlord forces. Lots of people aren't bother to loot the corpses which carry around 1k gold each. If you stick around the for Crimson Dragon, it will be a long fight but you'll have a shot at peerless ingredients, few k of gold and tons of gems

3. Champion spawn in Ilshenar - More EV's, plus helping heal people to spawn the champion. Shot at a low-level powerscroll, new artifact replicas, gold shower, etc.

4. NPC prisoner escort quests in Orc dungeon - 500 gold each, no timer between them, just gate as fast as they spawn, about 60 seconds.

The city invasions sound fun. I'll try those first.

Very rarely you will find an orc inside the cell, or an archer just outside it... I usually take an Earth Elly along (I normally ride a beetle, so a Fire Elly won't work...) to take care of that for me, while I do the prisoner escort... ;)

And if you have the patience and do not mind occasional runs to the bank, buy a butcher's war cleaver and take the spined leather off the lizardmen as well (or do it the old fashioned way with a bladed object and scissors, but the war cleaver makes it a lot faster). Once you get 1000 or so, advertise it at the bank and sell it. Leather of any kind is selling very well right now.

Most of the spawns in Trinsic have far too much health to deal with. It takes forever to kill em.

Yeah, if you do the Lizardmen Despise run, don't bother looting the gold at all. Just ride a beetle and take a BWC & loot spined leather -- it's worth a lot more than the gold is, weight for weight.

If you want to loot gold, the invasion suggestion is a good one. The banks are open during the invasion, so load up on gold from other people's (or your own) kills, drop it off, run back, etc.

If you can play at off-peak hours, hit a fel champ spawn & wither like crazy for transcendence scroll drops. Those are selling well right now, and I average about one per hour on my sampire (assuming I've got the spawn to myself -- otherwise the corpse runs aren't worth it). Average sell price is probably around 500k per scroll on my server (150k per tenth of a point on very desirable skills, 100k per tenth on desirable skills, 75k per tenth on kind of desirable skills, and unfortunately you pretty much have to trash ones for the id skills, camping, and focus).

Best money, as always is in playing the market, but if you want to be out playing your character instead, those are good suggestions.

edit: er whoops...misread your skills. gonna need a bit more necro to do champ spawns at a good clip. but that's something to look forward to. ;)

With 100 magery, you're almost done. What you need to do is make sure you have a full necro spellbook, then make a macro on like F5 or something in UO, and have it do "Cast Lastspell" then pull out Horrific Beast spell from Necro and cast that once, then put a penny if you have one in the F5 key and watch it until you hit about 65 necro. Once you're there, use Wither, then once you hit 75-80 skill start to use Lich Form until you're 99 necro.

Once you have 100 necro and 100 wither, you're good to go on that template and can start to do rat spawns by yourself if you even wanted to. While in wraith form, Wither is amazing for PVM (you get 100% wither success at 100 necro).

For the many HP invasion monsters, make sure you kill one at a time, use some Earth Eles maybe if you can heal them fast enough, but just keep them poisoned and cast low-circle spells for some constant damage while you have some followers on the npc.

Best or easiest with a tamer :P

You have the makings of a good champ spawn character there. i would soul stone wrestling and work the other skills, plus spell weaving to gm. also you need to take magery to at least 110 in order to cast ev's more efficiently. 115 is actually ideal but that scroll runs about 1 million gold. go for jewelry to add skills. if you are running the mondain client go for the bloodwood talisman which adds +5 to necro and +10 to spirit speak. look for a spell channeling shield (sheild of invul adds 15 dci and has +8 phys res and is reasonably priced) and ring and bracelet with dci to get as close to 45 as you can. fey leggings and aof also have dci, but armor of fortune(aof) is pretty pricey. this will help to prevent you from getting hit. once your gm necro and ss you can go wraith form with a shawdow wisp and wither at champ spawns in trammel. this will give you a good shot at scrolls of trans. also once the champ is dead release the wisp, summon a horde minion and he will help pick up the gold on the ground. he can legally hold 20k.

trogs are not a good option for your char right now. they hit really hard and take some time to kill with ev's, plus there boring as hell and you have to watch for the idiot that brings down the lurg to rain on your parade.

you can handle the first two levels in despise withering and can cut hides and get virtue drops. i sell the 10th anniversary statues for some 500k on my shard (chessy).

the red spawns are a bit more suited to a dexxer or tamer in my opinion.

once your upto gm i would also suggest doing the strongbox quest off the cook in sanctuary. it drops items with 85 pct intensity and once familiar with the workings of what you have to kill you can solo it all day.
i made 6 million gold just this past week in selling what i did not want to keep and i kept some fine stuff off the drops. it drops awesome jewelry, weaponry, talismans and armor. i use my necro char as built above exclusively down there and rarely die.

if you on chessy i could help you.

I recommend hitting an ilshenar or tokuno champ spawn for practice before you go venturing into felucca. You'll meet some people and perhaps find a group to adventure with, plus get your shot at Scrolls of Transcendence and replicas.

I'm a big fan of swoop as well, for scavenging new players. People generally leave piles of gold all over the twisted weald. Just pop in with a pack horse and load up!

Yeah my advice is just keep spamming Lich Form until 99 necro, that's what I'm doing on one shard and it doesnt take too long.

After you have 100 necro from spamming vampiric embrace, and you have 100 necro/100 ss, you can do anything. As onthefifty said, you'll eventually want at least 110 magery for EV casting, and if you go PvP on your necro, you'll want at least 105 necro for 100% strangle casting.

But to keep things simple for now, just keep working the necro, then, if you're going to keep wrestling, try to get at least 110 wrestling, and follow this guide originally made by Poo:

Gaining Wrestling -- From Poo/Voodoo Bad Mojo on Stratics:

30-60: 6gp wrestlers (jhelom pits)
60-75: 8gp wrestlers
75-90: 7gp fighters
90-105: 9gp fighters
105-120: Paladin from Delucia or Trinsinc

Oh and for PvM you really don't need more than 80 magic resist in my opinion if you're worried about skill caps
