Nice, and thanks for the link, but does anyone seriously bother with Luck items anymore?

For me at least, luck really never comes into the equation. At least for what I like to do and wear.

I only ask because I've enhanced Luck items just for fun, gotten into the 120-130 range, had a laugh and tossed it on the floor(esp since I don't have a tamer that would use such things).

I have one good luck suit for when I go out farming stuff on my tamer :)

There's a similar calculator on UOCraft. I ran a few items through to compare to the site linked above. On a 60 resist 18LRC piece with some mage properties, the UOCraft price was 781k vs 511k on that site. For an "uber" 80 resist 18LRC piece with some mage properties, UOCraft was 2.8 mil versus 3.1 mil on that site. I was glad to see them in the same ballpark.

Of course, being a straight calculator, it doesn't take into account the very subjective combinations - I mean, whatever you're missing in your particular suit could make a certain piece very much more valuable. So the calculator doesn't do that. But it does tell you how much value it assigned to each property, so you can adjust to suit your own opinions.

It's always the lower-end & higher-end stuff that seems to not work with those calculators...the highest-end stuff seems to be under-estimated in prices, and the lowest-end stuff seems to be over-estimated.

E.g., that calculator lists a 60 total resist mage armor gorget at 355900. I generally price these for about 8k on my vendor, and they frequently sit there for a week or more before they actually sell. That's just over 2% of the estimated price.

The creation of such calculators is a noble enterprise, but pricing in this game seems to be (at best) an Art. Or possibly just a lot of random guessing. ;)

Edit: Oh, and on the stuff I sell (pretty much exclusively low-medium end items), Luck gear sells very well. Better than resist gear, actually.

Also, the mmorpg.com guide seems to be fundamentally flawed in its method. I'm pretty sure that high-intensity properties have a multiplicative effect on item value rather than an additive effect.

Location is another consideration, stuff in Luna seems to sell even if the asking is a pound of flesh whereas a joe-blow in bfe is gonna have a much harder time.

Actually, my luck gear sells well too. It's all crappy resist, enhanced monster loot. I put it on a vendor called "100+ Luck" and sell for luck x 100 (so, 100 luck would be 10,000, 113 luck would be 11,300, etc).

That's due to population and visibilty. Just like a business in the real world "Location Location Location"

No question location matters, but those prices I quoted were for my vendor in Luna. ;)
