Is there anywhere that you can download the UOAM program and map files anywhere?

Those links don't seem to work. Technically, other than the archive, I believe it's illegal for anyone to host the files without Steve Blanding's explicit permission (the creator), and he made very clear in a post back in the summer of 2007 that he was NOT releasing the files or the source code to anybody to host, for his own reasons ("some legal, some not" I believe he described his reasons as). By US copyright law, then, hosting the files is not legal. I doubt he's going after people with cease and desist orders, but then again, maybe he is, since it's so hard to find.

That said, the Atlantic RP board is hosting the files (probably illegally):

Note - there ARE sites out there hosting UOAM with viruses in it. I highly recommend NOT trusting any unknown site to download the files, and I highly recommend virus scanning the files after you download them, before running them. (I'm sure the Atlantic RP copy is probably legit, but scanning everything you download from the internet is not a bad habit to be into!)

Hosting the setup file itself, is apparently ok by the license agreement
But hosting any of the files it extracts, for some reason, isn't

Reading over the License agreement however and it seems to suggest people can host all the files, for "Archival purposes"

Namely this section

This license grants you the right to install UOAM on your computer for personal use. You are permitted to copy and share this setup program (Setup.exe) provided that it remain unaltered and no fees are exchanged. You are also permitted to copy and share any label collections (hereafter referred to as .MAP files) which you have created using UOAM. However, you may not make copies of UOAM.EXE or any of its associated program files (except for archival purposes) without permission from the author.

I've emailed Bexlan again, not that he's replied to my previous emails, but still :P

Adam if the setup file is ok to host why can't we host a download here. This is a very popular tool and at least until SA comes about this tool is used all the time.

Yes, it still works, and I've got tokuno/ML areas showing up fine. New haven, on the other hand, does not. :(

That's my main concern. Those scoundrels with intent to gain access to accounts may use this UOAM situation to their advantage.

The file downloads from the archive.org links didn't work for me. The files appeared to download but neither would open.

I've uploaded the working setup file, which is ok by the license agreement, I've also uploaded the map files and rendered bitmaps (which you need to copy to your uoam directory)
At least, I assume that'll work.

Just wanted to say, I don't think this copy of UOAM works with the new haven island
I'm not sure how to make it work with the haven.map file and bitmap images that were posted here
Additionally, I've found about 4 email addresses for Bexlan and have sent him 3 emails asking about UOAM, I received a couple of read reciepts, but he never bothered to reply.
