Ok I cant get Honor to move past Seeker. What should I be fighting to gain? I've tried the sucubis and sphynixs and just cant move it even though it says I'm gaining. Any Ideas? Thanks for the help.

I honored balrons. Honor went pretty fast then. Specially if you can honor a para balron.

As you rise in honor, it gets successively harder to gain. From 0 to Knight, it takes about 3 hours or so of killing balrons or succubus for me to get to that level. It takes about 15-20 succubus per "bubble" at the follower level to gain higher.

If you've tried succubus and not gained past seeker, the only thing I can think of is you're not honoring fast enough. You can get to Knight just fighting succubus.

I think we have all done this at one time. Got my Honor cursor up, waiting for a critter to spawn and decide to check my weight or something else. End up Honoring myself. That could make it look like you're not gaining.

I took 2 tamers to 2.6 Honor (Follower 6th dot) on White Wyrms while training pets and banking a load of gps, gems and leather.

I think I might be missing something, how exactly do you see how much honour you have? I mean, I can see the red dots, but how do I know which set of red dots they are?

For each Virtue, including Honor, you must fill in the red dots with blue dots, left to right. When you fill in all ten red dots with blue ones, you achieve a level or "Path"(proper term) in the Virtue which is accompanied by an elevated ability used with that Virtue.

When you achieve the first path, you then become a "Seeker" in the Virtue, at which point all the blue dots reset back to red so you can get more blue dots to achieve the next level, which is "Follower". This follows again with the next and final level, which is "Knight". At each level, the color of the Virtue's symbol in the Virtue menu changes to a different hue of the Virtue's color which is accompanied by the title change when you mouse over it as well. Achieving Knight of Honor can be quite a challenge.

Does Honor raise faster with Bushido? Or do I just use it more frequently on my samurai and it *seems* like it?

Not that I'm aware of, altho having high Honor is paramount for someone using Bushido.

I would say it just seems like it, since with Perfection, you kill stuff faster.

Tip for quick gains:
Humility gate I believe it is, go northeast near the lava vent, there is a champ spawn in that area. At one point, silver serpants spring up, and if you're good with healing and hit point regen, you can honor and take out a bunch of those things and gain in Honor very quickly, to almost max. After that, if succubas and balrons are too much, there is a way. Compassion gate, go down to the mining entrance at the closest gypsy encampment, go through, head north to the top, west through the passage and south again through the desert, passing the gargoyle city. On the other side of the desert, make sure nothing is chasing you, stop, and prepare yourself. I suggest taking Valor armor, Dupre's shield, soul seeker, bracelet of health (uncursed), and bandages. Ninjitsu is helpful at this point as well.

Macro Ninjitsu cat form... yes, cat form, for the hit point regeneration bonus. Done right, you will not need bandages at all, but good to have just in case. In UO Assist, hit record for a macro, cast animal form and choose the cat. Stop the recording once that is done, and Assist will remember the menu choice. Return to human/elf form, mount up, say a quick prayer and RUN west through all that spawn (arcane demons, dopplegangers, fire elementals, etc) until you get to that large stone building at the end. Do not go up the stairs, but find an opening on the first floor, enter, and head straight to the center black area and dive right in. You will be tempted at this point, before entering, to fight the spawn around the outside of the building.... don't. You will be quickly swamped. Once inside and down the rabbit hole, so to speak, seek out Exodus Minions and Enforcers. Honor them, then attack and kill them. From your point of entrance, the Minions are usually west of your current position, while the Enforcers are north and south.

Quiet! You're going to flood my favorite honor spot with newbies!

On a serious note: do not come here if you use the KR client. You will crash every 20 minutes or so. This is annoying mostly because a) you die and B) there are no healers nearby.

Back during spring clean-up, I hunted here until I learned the spawn times of the Vanguard riders. Tons of points in a very short time.

I used to read uopowergamers which years ago was just like this forum is today, great members who share what they learned to benefit the community of UO. I worked Honor last night killing mages in Wrong. I am at the purple chalice baby. hehehe
