I am thinking in buying those glasses that give 30 dmi. I heard that for pvm you can go all the way to 300 dmi, but I dunno if that's just from the dmi bonus or from all the things you have like tactics anatomy etc.
Overall is it worth having those glasses ?

100 DI cap from items, you make up the rest of the 300 from skills/specials.

I'd say the glasses aren't worth it because there are better options.

Depends on build/other gear.

But Sammy Helm, Mace and Shield, or even Brightsight lenses are probably all better in most cases.

But those don't give dmi, what the purpose of having those in pvm.
With dmi I could give more damage to monsters.

"Depends on build/other gear."

Sammy Helm - Better Resistance, DCI (get hit less/for less overall)
Mace and Shield - HLD (hit ______ more often)
Brightsight - 3MR (use more spells/specials)

If you have absolutely 0 need for any of those reasons, and also 0 DI from anything else, I can see using a helmet slot for 30 DI. But usually the DI is made up from other items (up to 25 each from rings and bracelet, 20 from Primer of Arms Talisman, weapon DI).

What do you already have for DI? As DiP said, there are better options. Personally, I'd use the Library tally for 20 DI, Stormgrips for 25 DI, some DI on your jewels plus DI on your weapon should allow you to pretty easily hit your 100 DI from items. Relative to either the Mace and Shields or Folded Steels, the glasses with DI kinda suck lol.

Am I correct in thinking that damage increase for a mage does not exist and that I need spell damage increase?

Correct.

There is no PvM SDI cap.

Actually some of my current equipment is 20 DI tally, stormgrips and I have been using mischief maker as a weapon, have a bit of dmi on my jewels as well, so I guess I should rather go to the mace and shield glasses.
Is the hld as useful for pvm as it is for pvp ?

Not as useful, but still nice to have. The real strength of the M&S glasses in PvM is 15 stat points you gain, 10 strength and 5 Dex. Very nice to have.:)
