UO Japan Site Menus Added

Written by Nok - UO Toolbar Admin Monday, 21 April 2008
EA Mythic's UO Japan site menus and RSS news feed have been added to the UO Toolbar! The menus and RSS feed use the Japanese alphabet and wording, with English mouseover hints (where appropriate) to better help players navigate the menus as best as possible.

If you see any misspellings or inappropriate usage, please post your findings & corrections on the UO Toolbar Support Board... so we can get things corrected quickly. Thanks and enjoy!

Second post with this comment:

Dude, your new avatar is seriously wiggin' me out. I'm frightened to go into dark rooms alone now...

And, to stay on topic: how exactly does UOtoolbar work and is it 1) safe and 2) useful?

Hi Magister_Returns,

how exactly does UOtoolbar work and is it 1) safe and 2) useful?

Works just like the Google, MSN & Yahoo toolbars... except specifically for UO players. You either install it for Internet Explorer, or add it on as an extension to either Firefox or Flock web browsers.

UO Toolbar has custom UO-specific Google-powered searches; the full site menus from the official UO sites; community menu (links to forums (like UOForums, UO Stratics, etc.), guilds, player towns and so on); RSS news feeds to keep you up on the latest UO news from around the community; an expansive safety menu to help keep your PC safer; a tools menu to help you play UO better, an Internet radio (with gaming & broadcast streams); and more.

Very safe. UO Toolbar started 2.5 years ago and is evolving into a brand (GameXbar) of gaming toolbars. It alone has nearly 1100 UO users, and not one safety issue in that time. GameXbars are written on a safe platform, and regularly checked & updated. UO Toolbar is regularly mentioned here on Ultimate Online Forums (thank you Adam), UO Stratics, and UO's weekly Five on Friday... none of them would do that if it had a bad reputation.

Useful? Well I might be a little biased answering that. =) If you're not really into UO, no it wouldn't be very useful. But if you are a casual or power player, it'll be very useful.

Glad you asked. :)
