September 10, 2009 - Governor's Office, Mage Tower, PaxLair City, PaxLair Statehood On September 8, 2009 Mayor Bam Bam gave her resignation as Mayor of PaxOku to Governor Winfield. Winfield reluctantly accepted her resignation. He said he has great respect for what Bam Bam has done in PaxOku and how the city is prospering. Bam Bam has not left PaxOku and remains a citizen. Governor Winfield will be the acting Mayor of PaxOku until he appoints a new mayor. He said the new appointment may take days or weeks. He will lead the PaxOku meeting scheduled for Sunday, September 13th, at 7:30 PM ET -

I think this is Tuesday. I think Tuesdays are meeting nights for PaxLair Alliance. Did I miss that we were having to skip a week announced at the last meeting? Where's Winfield and why hasn't he posted the meeting site? The rune for last weeks is still at the Tea House. Don't make me worry! -

I do not have many words to describe the event, but I do have an image that summarizes it pretty well. Winfield, I appreciate the thought, but I don't think I was meant for the sea. I have to decline that re-invite. -
Hail everyone, I've successfully returned from my nearly month-long fishing trip. I'm still a little waterlogged and am finding a few tailors to mend some of my torn clothing. It was so peaceful at sea, despite the sea serpents and water elementals from time to time. Yet, it is even more wonderful to be back!! I'm still getting my "land legs" again while I sort out all the fish I caught. I'll have lots to sell at Yew Moongate as long as I can keep the fish fresh. I know the patrons at Yew Moongate can get pretty upset with rotten fish. They are a tough and dangerous crowd to please.

Govenor Winfield summoned me one day recently to one of his favorite fishing spots. He talked about visiting many places in the realm and wanted to have a Guild Banner in place for the PaxLair Statehood on each shard. Together with others from Pax Chesapeake we had visited many other places already. Sonoma, for the Xmas tree lighting. Europa, to see their RP community, tours on Baja and Pacific. Not one to question the wisdom of the Old Man, I agreed to undertake the job of populating the other shards in the realm....er I mean to make a Pax guild on all the other shards. Greetings fellow PaxLair citizens... I am announcing that I will donate a 250,000 check to Gov. Winfield at the next statehood meeting. I wish that the money be be spent on the following Helping PaxLair with taxes and other housing needs Helping to support PaxLair citizens that may be low income players And to bring a possible future PaxLair government to Trinsic What real reasons the money will be used for is entirely up to Gov. I will not be able to make it to the PaxLair Statehood meeting on Tuesday night, Aug 28th, due to my work schedule. I hate missing the meetings as I learn so much from week to week. I'm querying several officials of PaxLair to run the meeting in my stead. I should announce the location and who will run it later tonight (Monday) onto the calendars and mention it in this thread. There are lots of people interested in and joining our Statehood these days. So we have some momentum going. Let's keep it going, keep it interesting, keep it creative. I hope to see some of you at the Town Hall

A scroll arrived early this morn' from Mayor Winfield of PaxLair inscribed with great news that he is available and would enjoy partcipating in an interview with UOForums. Mayor Winfield leads the PaxLair Community on the Chesapeake Shard. PaxLair started as one player town on January 19, 1998 and has grown to now include 5 player towns throughout the Shard. He is dedicated to working with player communities and recently visited Darkmoor Township on Sonoma (a sister-city relationship may be forming there) enhancing PaxLair's cross-shard involvement.
