The Yewish Mayoral Election results are in after a fantastic voting turnout, the final totals were just as close as anticipated, so close in fact that a recount was required to verify the legitimacy of the final calculations. Mayoral Election Results Mayor David Brooker has apparently announced that he will be offering the position of Deputy Mayor to fellow candidate Kain Raslo after admitting he had been inspired by the former guardsman's impassioned speeches and was looking forward to working towards realising their shared dream of a more prosperous Yew. 7. To the Duke of Trinsic, Yesterday evening the election of a new Chancellor in Vesper was held. I, Gwen Irima, was asked on the night of the presentation of the Candidates by the former Chancellor Van Cocidius to do the counting of the votes for this election. The results of the election are as followed: Escaflowne received 23 out of the 39 votes, Devante Sterling 9, Leo Madsen 5 and Momo 2. Two votes were brought to me at a later time but since they did not change the outcome of the election and the voting time was over i did not add them. I would like to mention though that it were 2 mo
  8. The February 2009 Chesapeake Great Treasure Hunting Race was held Saturday evening, starting off in Britain. Hosted by EM Tailspin, EM Dudley and EM Faine Morgan, contestants and spectactors were soon anxiously milling about the Counselor's Hall in Britain. Dragons seemed to outnumber the people as they were "parked" all about the outside of the building, circling it in it's entirety. No small wonder that one of them didn't get a funny idea in it's reptilian head to share with it's kin that they could just as easily besiege the building and forget their masters! Fortunately, this did not hap
  9. The February 2009 Chesapeake Regatta was held Thursday evening with both sailors and spectactors meeting at the Red Wolf Cafe in Gyldenfeld. Notable in attendance, EM Tailspin also appeared to watch the event. After a brief review of the Fire and Ice course route and wind and tide advisories, the assembled group moved to the southern tip of Ice Isle to begin the race. After a final wellwishing of fair seas and best of luck, the regatta began with a hearty shout. The racers quickly set upon their boats and the race was underway! The boats sailed up the east coast of the frozen wastes of
  10. Posted on Sunday, February 22, 2009, 5:39 PM EST by Vallend (Catskills) >>> Trammel Facet News <<< A full house of people gathered Saturday night in Que’s Tavern to listen to aspiring bards, poets, and storytellers work at their arts entertaining those gathered and maybe if they were good enough, to leave with a bit more gold in their pouches. In total eight people stepped up and shared stories and poems about the subject of the evening, Tales of Feathers, Fur and Scales. The three individuals chosen to judge the nights contestants were Alyssia Kanath(RoH), Izznet Hun
  11. The sea winds blew in brisk and cold, chilling the odd assembly of naked people standing on the docks in Serpent's Hold yesterday evening. Strange as it was to see a huddled group standing there without a scrap of clothing, they were there for good reason - Round 3 of the USA Alliance Naked Dungeon Run! This weekly, league-style event was now in it's third, penultimate round. With Broli's dominating wins in the first two weeks back to back, this was his chance to tighten his grip on the lead. But just as it was his opportunity to secure that position, so it was still just as possible for som
  12. The monthly Chesapeake Regattas returned Thursday evening by popular demand! Featuring a different course each month, the boat races put the seafaring skills of sailors and sailoresses alike to the test as they race their vessels through the waters of Sosaria. This month's course was the modestly difficult "Thread the Needle" course. After meeting up at the Red Wolf Cafe in Gyldenfeld for a pre-race briefing and quick review of the race rules, the contestants assembled dockside in Jhelom. At the starting signal, the racers hastily boarded their boats and put out to sea heading east. Dod

  14. The evening started with a bit of history during a tour given by Governor Winfield. Times remembered and shared are always good. There was also a 'Suicide Gate' south of Paxlair across the road. If I remember right, it was green in color. When you walked through the gate it would drop you from high up in the air, and you received damage from the fall. You landed beside the gate. People would gather there to practice healing. People would usually help heal each other too, I don't remember ever getting PKed there. Ahh good times. I believe that the gate disappeared with the appearance of Tramm

  16. I am pleased to announce that all the seats were filled at the storytelling contest this evening at the Blue Swan Landing in PaxOku. There were several who told their stories throughout the timeframe from 8:30 - 10 pm EST. Those contributing were: Lady Phoenix, Lady Winmere, Gakuct, Winfield, Niva and Lord Gareth. Those who also attended to listen included Mach and Kalars. The theme of the contest was "Change." Gak told a true story from his past, and his time as a youth. It was apparent how he has changed over the years. Lady Phoenix told of how things have also changed over the years, a

This champ spawn marathon was hosted by the EBay Alliance and was public. Well… almost public. NB-Cats posted, “As always, everyone except for HOT and LUB! will be guaranteed safe passage. If HOT members hide their tag, we may show mercy as well.” There you have it. A great set up for a fun evening. So here’s what happened…. Despise: -SS- were the first ones in the dungeon. MSI soon followed. The champ spawn was soon over. The a

  21. Though we only had two fighters this week, and one a last minute substitue at that, we had a pretty good turn-out and I hope the people that were there had fun. The fighters were Oni-San (substituting for Onin [shame] ) & Kegan the Mad [Chaos] Though Oni-San is not a regular in the pits, and had little time to prepare, she put up a valiant fight in the first round, eventually falling to Kegan. Kegan offered to fight wearing only his kilt (he seems to enjoy going without armor), as to even up the fight some. Though it was a much closer fight Kegan came away with the win. Always atte
  22. Although late ballots will still be accepted until 9:00pm est Tuesday the 25th. The ONN has projected that Viceroy Neira of Kijustsu Anei will be PaxOkus new Mayor pending the approval of Governor Winfield. Even the Cute Little Pink Neon Bunny took home (One) Vote tonight. The ONN has learned that even Mayor Gareth did not vote for the bunny! Final results will be announced at tonights PaxLair Statehood meeting.
  23. VIP! popped the Harrower and the location was Hythloth. Ugh. Can we say choke points? Found the Harry, but where’s VIP!...? (Like we don’t already know.) What’s this? (Again, like we don’t already know) HOT decides to take the bait and work the Harry. VIP! didn’t let them work it long before they decided it was time to raid. All set to go down Link pops up and mass dispels all the deamons. So VIP! summoned a few more then went down. The push didn’t go well… But being pro’s, they were res’d up and ready to rock and roll in no time flat.
  24. Greetings, We were able to field 4 fighters this month, thanks to Valoria Venom joining in, and we had 2 show-up after the fights had started. More Cowbell got in one fight against Kegan but had to suddenly leave. Black-Jack also showed up and was guilded, but did not get a chance to fight. Paco our guest Crafter set-up shop before the fights and geared-up all the fighters, staying in the PaxOku crafting area to accommodate any stragglers. I'd like to offer a big Thank You! to Paco for all his help. The fights were "best 2 out of 3 falls", here are the results: 1st rounds Kegan the Mad
  25. The first Victory goes to Onin, the Champion of Shame! Onin fought Kegan in a "best 2 out of 3" match, though she only came out of that fight with one victory Kegan soon challenged her to one more fight, winner takes All! Onin responded by quickly dispatching Kegan and claiming the 130,000 check. Congratulations Onin!!! Door prizes were given to Lady CaT & Ado, who had to guess which number I had picked, between 1-20...Ado won the larger of the two checks by guessing 12 (the number I chose was 13 :>). Thank You both for attending! I would like to thank James V Krieg, who jumpe
