  1. You guys dont get my point. It doesn't have to be a freeshard. It could be an entirely different game? I don't really care how we rp or where... as long as I get to role-play with you folks.. We have a certain skill, imagination and sophistication that you do not find quickly. All these other games, if you go to any of their role-play guilds it's laughable!
  2. I think we should migrate to a freeshard. Rebuild a VTC and a swaggers and attract all those players that WANt to come back to UO but won't cause of the 10 pounds per month. Just us, not the rest of the guilds. We are awesome and we should play together. In any shard of game... I lub you all!
  3. Oh my, I wish you all the best... I hope you will heal soon and you won't have anymore pain. Big hug from me!!!!
  4. Hey guys. I think that we can all agree that over all these years we have created a very special community. We have forged friendships that would be such a shame to lose. As these forums seem to have lost a lot of steam and people check them less and less I wanted to find a way to keep in touch with you all. Hence why I created a Facebook page specifically for Europa Roleplayers. It's a way for us to keep in touch with current players and players who have sadly moved on. It allows us to discuss many things like the current UO, but also potential new games where we can find people fro

  6. Dev, hence the link... to a free illegal solution. Sky sux anyway. We pay tv license every year so I don't feel guilty watching this stuff on the net. I've been following Camelot. I'm a big Arthur fan and all that. I can tell you that it's not worth very much. The show becomes very shallow very fast. Even BBC's Merlin has more depth Game of Thrones starts quite slow but it picks up speed. Yeah the book is better.
  7. Just wanted to let you guys know about an amazing series called Game of Thrones produced by HBO. It's based upon the books of George R R Martin called A Song of Ice and Fire. The series is amazing, the cast is fantastic. Sean Bean plays one of the main characters (another great reason to watch). It reminds me a lot of UO and our RP community! You guys have to watch it. All the episodes can be found here, Watch Game of Thrones online (TV Show) - Watch TV Online, Free TV It has got me hooked! I started reading the books now! GO watch it! Tell me what you think!
  8. Aww I loved New Orleans and everything around it! Such great people and atmosphere. Where do you live? Maybe I passed it? You guys are gonna laugh but I actually own two lama's in my backyard:/. One name Dalah and the other is Kuzco. Both are totaly crazy.
  9. Sometimes I wish people would think before they type. Vierna, instead of replying to this thread in a constructive manner and respond to the idea being proposed, you launch an uncalled personal attack on me. Best way too respond to such posts is to ignore them. I hope when you look back on your post you realise you look childish and should be embarassed. Declan, I agree that Yew would be a good location to attempt such a scenario. So much free space ect, but it kinda seems impossible for the other guard guilds to move into that area. That is why I picked Britain, neutral location. The
  10. Yeh I did, although I don't know if you can call them interesting I met Misha Barton (she played Marissa in The OC). Nice girl but totalll airhead. Also met Audrina Partridge from The Hills and she no has her own show. Again, nice girl but totalll airhead. Seen lots of celebs too, but I guess thats normal in L.A. I did however meet some people I found very interesting that worked for Disney and Lionsgate studios. They might fix me up with a job over there sometime in the future. It was a very successful trip career wise, so i'm happy about that. How's things going with you? X
  11. Hey Guys! I'm back! I've finally got time for UO again! I'll update you quickly on what i've done in the last few months. I Graduated, had my insane 3week roadtrip (best time of my life), stayed in Los Angeles by my self for a month and met loads of new people and came home for my graduation ceremony a week ago. How are you guys? I missed you!!!! X
  12. Tanya I'm sorry you feel annoyed by these posts. However they pop up for a reason. It means there are a lot of people out there that are disgruntled with the current situation. Certain guilds feel the heat more than others. It is a shame to have people leaving UO because there is no interaction. I don't agree with this for the following reason. People do not go and see who is about because it is frowned upon due to the guild tensions. For example, if I recall to stonekeep to see what is going on I feel like people are just thinking "Oh he is here for trouble". Also why should my charact
  13. A lot of you say that moving into a smaller area will not make a difference in activity. But i'm my experience activity breeds more activity. For example. If you have one person logged on in Stonekeep, Trinsic, Cove and Vesper. They are the only people online, so they have nothing to do and after 5 minutes log out. But if you put these 4 logged on players in a single area they will interact when they come across one another. Even if it is just having a conversation, it still helps with keeping that player online, which in turn breeds more activity. If you take the Moot as a good example.
  14. Leo Saying that to just log in and wander around is too simple. People will log in if there is activity. If they log in and there is no one online, they leave. Going into other peoples territories is frowned upon for several reasons. This problem might not affect GRD as much as it does other guilds. You guys are the one with the biggest current player base. But this is a real problem for other guilds. Harbag gives the perfect example. We know that just saying "You need to log in more and show an interest" does not work. The answer is not that simple unfortunately.
  15. Sorry Palin, I forgot to include Cove on the map. I can add an updated version later. It is a map from a while back hence why SD is still on it. I is just an example. Hey Leo I don't think city guilds would cease to exist! I think exactly the opposite! People would cling hard to who they are and their heritage as they have something to stand for now that other people are around. You are not becoming one BIG city guild. We are rather splitting the city up into little locations with their sphere of influence. Your guild identity would be extra important now that you have rivalling guilds clo
  16. Here is my proposal for a temporary move which could (if successful) turn into a permanent thing. The Plot I spend many hours thinking about what type of event could make everyone move to a single area. It is obvious is should be cataclysmic in size to concern all of us. Then I figured, why not borrow from the past to stick with what our community does best, low fantasy roleplay. Let us recreate one of the most horrific times in European history. The Black Death. (Wikipedia: The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, peaking in Europe between 1348 and 135
  17. Hey everyone! After much discussion on the future of our community on the Vesper forums it is time to move the conversation here. I know many will think "not again", but we all know it's time to do something. Most of us remember the days where our population was so large that spontaneous roleplay (even with other guilds) was a daily occurrence. We all remember the massive battles/markets/events where our screens would lag due to the amount of people. Those days are long gone and we will never get those back. Ultima Online is unfortunately a dying game due to EA's incompetence. Howeve
  18. Hey Guys! As you must have noticed i've not been online for the last few weeks. This is because work has really picked up and i've gotten really busy. It won't die down for the next three weeks and then i've got an exciting one month roadtrip in the states. We are going from New Orleans to Los Angles so if you have any suggestions where to go along the way, let me know I'll be back in April and I'll miss all of you. Lots of love and Kisses!!!!!!!! Oh yeh, I have a videoblog that I will update during the trip if anyone is remotely interested (Ask me for the link) Cheers guys! XXXXXXXX
