I'd long hoped that I would never have to write this post.
Most of you will have varying levels of familiarity with Chris Turner, known to most as Laton or Choma.
For just over a year, Chris has been struggling to beat a rare form of Lymphoma, which has taken him through seemingly endless bouts of chemotherapy, countless drugs and more recently a stem cell transplant.
Just before Christmas, the doctors discovered that the Lymphoma had returned and that there would be nothing more that they could do for him.
Its my sad duty to tell you all that Chris passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of saturday morning (19th January).
He will be very sorely missed by many of us.

I am very sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with his family and other friends of his. This past year my father passed away and I wrote a few poems to help myself through it and wish to share them with all of you.
"Passing beyond the Veil"
Sitting here, thinking back of the times and things we have shared.
None of it seems quite enough, not right now, not at this time.
The memories flood my mind with thoughts of you.
My heart wants nothing more than to hug you, one more time.
I wonder did you know how dear to me you were.
Did you notice the small things that were meant just for you to notice?
I wished for more time, but time was not what you had left.
As I sit here knowing I will never see you again,
I am both sad and happy all at once.
Sad that you had to leave us so soon.
Happy that you have finally found peace.
I shall carry on, though it will be hard, so hard at first.
Looking at the many things you had wanted to do.
So for you, I shall do them in your place.
In hopes you will watch me from above and smile.
I am trying to be strong through it all.
Sometimes I shall succeed and sometimes,
It will seem harder than I thought.
Your love I shall carry all the days of my life,
And the strength you have given me will make me stronger.
Though right now I may not see it.
My thoughts and love for you will continue on,
As long as I breathe, your memories are with me.
You are as close to me as my memory of you exists.
I shall not say good bye,
But instead I love you.
“I Remember You”
With each breath I take,
I remember you.
With each task that I muddle through,
I remember you.
As my heart aches for more time,
I remember you.
With each hug to my children,
I remember you.
Within the memories of my mind,
I remember you.
With every song I hear,
I remember you.
With each day’s passing,
I remember you.
With every look in the mirror,
I remember you.
With every beat of my heart,
I remember you.
Within each waking moment,
I remember you.
With your final journey upon me,
I remember you.
Within all of time and space,
I remember you.
With your loving heart, you now watch over me.
You remember me too.

It is always sad to hear of such tragedy. What a kind soul you were to post. You got his stuff when his house fell, didn't ya?

And to think, I just have to worry about my colostomy bag. Then see me own sons post above me, who is now no longer here, but away.
How interesting, and sad.
I hope all is well with your friend.
