Re: How to raise imbuing

Should not take you more than 30,000 amber, 30,000 citrine, 30,000 magical residue. to get to 120 imbue so save up while you are gming blacksmithing and before you know it you will be there, good luck

Re: How to raise imbuing

Well I did hit around 115 just before the imbuing changes so that number could be lower (but I not ready to do it again )

though really it is not that bad you just need to go to ilshenar and find the roving gypyies camp, everytime they move the prices reset, so amber and citrine start at 50 gold each, personally I would buy only until 55 gold each, once it hit 56, I stopped and came back the next day or later in the day and did other things.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment

Yep same here,

I already have 26500 residue and add more or less 1000 every night, more on week-ends so no problem here but the gems ...
I have only 600 each more or less
But as I have already almost 81 imbuing skill points it shouldn't be so bad.

Thanks Warsong for the advice about the gypsies

Re: How to raise imbuing

Well, if you compare it to the number of ingots you need to get Legendary Blacksmith, it's not that much.

Also I found it a rather well gaining skill, even before the changes. After them it's become a really easy skill to raise. A tad expensive, but you can always go out and mine or hunt the gems.

Re: How to raise imbuing

I had a player give me a soulforge deed at luna bank when i began training, i said "buying soulforge. paying well" and within a few seconds i was just given one!

another thing to bare in mind is that if you have an alt with magery and eval simply "borrow" his skills using a soulstone get yourself a 100%lrc suit and head to the tomb of kings. Run to the room at the end of the long hall and through into the tunnel, pre cast your ev and run and drop them in the main room. .. my mage's pack is bursting with items after about 15 mins... 2 ev's can clear the spawn super fast and if you loot fast you can loot everything before it re spawns. You must take a bag of sending you can make a super amount of gold and fill your beetle with items, when you reach your weight limit use the bag of sending on the gold and wait till your pack is full... I am currently at 78 imbue now and have hardly trainied it. I don't use a beetle but just from a backpack full of items I get .4 -.5 per unrav container... the worse i have had is .3 not to mention the 60 - 100k i get per session(this is from about 6-7 unrav backpacks).

keep at it and all will be ok.

Re: How to raise imbuing

The cost of soulforges will plummet the longer imbuing is out there and the more imbuers that are around - It was like 1mil now 500k only because it requires a relic fragment and 75 imbuing on a carpenter..as people learn the mechanics of imbuing prices will come down. More high level imbuers = more relic fragments.

One effect it has had, is the cost of fort powder has doubled, because you cant fortpowder an imbued item, you fort it up to 255 then imbue it.

Imbuing, in my opinion is one of the best things that's been added to UO in years. The ability to gain imbuing ingredients from so many sources means that all players, not just the rich and/or powerful ones, can gain profitable vendor materials. And the fact that imbued suits will eventually break no matter what guarantees repeat sales.
