With all the mess going on ingame, in vent, and whatnot, we need to clear the air a bit. I think a lot of this arguing needs to stop, and is completely pointless.
This thread will be for anyone wishing to speak their mind about anything ingame. If you want anonymity to remain non-confrontational or whatever reason, send me a PM. I am a 100% noob trammie, and not involved in any goings on or politics in Felucca, and can act as a neutral party where that is involved. I will repost your comment in here, removing your name.
If desired, I will mirror this thread in the private section if you don't want your feedback to be public - but I want this introduction public so everyone can see it, I know some alliance members aren't added to the private section yet.
I am currently leading the trammel side of FURY, emissary in TNK, and have characters in several guilds in the alliance.
The only rule is, if you're going to critisize, please make it constructive. Don't say X sucks, say why X sucks. and so on.
If you have a complaint about a certain member or guild, make it known to everyone, it's easier to deal with this stuff early, and not have it build and explode into drama later.

I would like to also add to Corvaks idea - please do not use this as an opportunity to do any public bashing. Pull your thoughts together, separate out each element of your issue, and present them as calmly as you can, so that we all can work together to help us be, if not friends, at least friendly.

Corvak I don't appreciate that. I have known X for years and he has never done anything ever that "sucked."
X has been a great contributer to the alliance as well as the game. I cant believe you think X sucks. Can you please tell us why?
If there is something X did, please let us know because as far as we all knew, X is a great person.
Funny sorry, last week I was out hunting with X, and he dropped his kryss.
The End

For my first piece of feedback...
(Don't worry, it's good)
Yesterday I was on a scavenger hunt, and rather than getting all the answers right and running back and forth to get the appropriate items, instead we went to New Haven, and every time we ran into somebody, we asked them about the riddles and the possible answers.
The only people who responded were alliance members (other people were just passing through) and about half were very helpful in our search for items.
We got none of the right answers, but still had fun and had some good interactions with the "locals".
Sorry, I can't remember who was helpful and who stood still with their dragon and ignored us (and who just ran through and recalled away).

X sucks because his anti-capitalist perspective clashes with UO!

If I was in haven then, I was probably AFK. Between hockey, dinner, and watching the closing of the olympics, I wasn't on much last night.

It was hard watching the hockey game and playing at the same time.
People frequently had to "wake me up," especially at the end of the match right before I finally said, "No more UO, the hockey is more fun."

I wanted to give things time to die down and blow over before making a feedback post and since they have, here goes...
Since the last meeting things have definitely been quieter. There is no sniping, no bickering, no silly name-calling and that's wonderful. The irritation, frustration, and general bad mojo is gone. There were obviously some points of contention before and some personalities that, no matter how hard they tried to get along, just clashed. While I think it's sad that some had to leave the alliance to accomplish this, I think it served as a wake up call to everyone that a true effort needed to be made to make this, and any really, alliance work. I am, of course, not saying the effort wasn't being made before, just that it has been renewed.
Now, however, alliance chat is -too- quiet. There are still many people across many guilds that I have not had the honor of meeting or working with. Many I don't even know exist. I would love to see more weekly events for the entire alliance to take part in planned. Perhaps instead of leaving that burden of planning to just one person or guild, it would be good to rotate that responsibility to each guild in turn. One week have guild A plan an event, the next guild B, then guild C, etc. This on top of the regular events already scheduled like the spawns and gauntlet runs.
This, I think, would help us all get to know each other better and build a bond that's perhaps gotten a bit thin as well as give us all something new to look forward to each week. Just a suggestion, though. Do with it what you will.

Alliance chat is quiet. I don't know why, except that TNK were a chatty bunch and we are not seeing their text this week. As far as I've been able to tell, people still respond to calls for help and other assistance. But as for just your general, cheery chat, not so much. Let's try and make an effort, shall we.
As to activities - it's been a long-time goal of mine to see the different guilds in the Alliance sponsor and organize group activities. We were trying to have one guild lead at least one activity each month - more if they could manage it. Val's BLOW did run a great scavenger hunt recently. We also had a guild set up to do activities...last month...but with one thing or another, real life always intervened and that never happened.
Pitr recently had a fun plan to have us tame chickens and lead them around Ilshenar. The one with the most live chickens remaining at the end...wins! There would be people stationed at check (chick?) points along the route to be sure contestants and their chickens didn't take any shortcuts. Good for Easter!
I honestly don't know what kind of incentives we could offer to guilds to get some kind of activities rolling. Maybe I'm not mean enough. *gets out whip* But seriously, if anyone can think of a way to get a program running, let's hear it. Asking for volunteers at the monthly meetings isn't working.
A planned activity once a week would be great.

Last night was pretty eventfull, there was cross alliance (Thats what I call it) people hunting. We did Meduza a few times, no one got anything supper awesome but it was a good.
It took us a minute to get it started but once we did it was smooth sailing. I realised that killing an Evil Malk is a pain in the arse. I never knew I was so anoying lol.
But We asked a few times and there was not bickering and no one complained.
I am sure theres stuff being done but we have to get the cross talking in order to get it all started again.
