Not a funny pic, but kind of a funny story... I don't have the pics anymore since my ex took off with them. Anyway...
He and I went to the Dallas Aquarium. They have it set up like a rain forest inside there. There are several birds and a few animals just wondering around in the building to give it more of a wild feel. There is a set path to walk however, and sometimes it can get backed up when people stop at a popular spot to gaze for a few minutes.
We were caught in a backlog of people, under a big tree. Keep in mind I am tall (six feet) and I have long hair. I felt something tugging on my hair, and just figured I was caught on the tree. I ducked a bit, but since I still could not go forward, my hair was still being pulled. Then I felt a thud on the top of my head. I was not caught on the tree at all. I was being pet by a SLOTH!
I looked up and came face to face with the critter, and it startled me enough that I made that girly "eep" sound. The sloth wrapped his arm around my head and was just making himself comfortable. Then a kid in line in front of me starts screaming, "Lady, the signs say DO NOT TOUCH the sloth! Quit touching the sloth!" Since I was not exactly touching the sloth, the sloth was touching me, I didn't know what to do.
In between this brat screaming at me, and the sloth being active, we had started to draw quite a crowd. I looked at my date for some help, but he was just snapping pictures while laughing hysterically. Finally one of the aquarium workers shows up, but instead of helping me, takes this opportunity to start educating folks about the sloth. While he is talking, the sloth keeps playing with my hair and getting tangled. After about 20 minutes or so of having a sloth on my head, I point out that it is starting to get heavy and oh by the way, did it just pee on me? Nah, it was just a little sloth drool it seems.
Finally we get the sloth off my head and out of my hair. He went back into the tree, and they gave me a shirt from the gift shop for being such a good sport. It was a pretty awesome day!
