It seems that Lady Flame of the Bloodguard has found that Crystalline Encased Jordan Jurrel is now surrounded by a mysterious field of some force. It is rumoured that Muldran Skully is gathering the Shadowcourt to make a full investigation into this new phenomena with the Bloodguard's help and assistance. Messages will be dispatched to the scholars of Umbra also askign for their input and to make the trip to this new archaelogical site. More news on the expedition date and time to follow.

New Captain elected!

Yesterday within VanQa's own Trinsic Rose Covian Commander choose their new Captain. Congratulations on soon to be wed Hoagie Cindy Facey was name apparently was pulled out a hat.
On being asked what Captain Facey was going to do towards Yew he responded with "If I said that, I'd have to kill you." which is a shocking display of violence on the streets! Be careful of this man folks, he has an un-dying vendetta against everyone since he was hit by 'The Quill Bandit'.


Rumours

Seems Coves new Captain is expecting small feet around the house. Him and a green haired peasant were discussing names under the shade of Trinsic bridge - The horror.

Minoc - Jordan Jurrels office stands empty. But rumours abound that Britannians following the virtue of Luv are tryign to move in! It seems that Trevelyan and his boys and girls are staking a claim to yellow haired stringy runner bean dandy Jurrel's office - it is hero-worship? Or is it that they want to get their hands on his valuables!

And Tristian D'Gar has been hanging around Trinsic a lot recently, is he there seeming someone special? Or is he just trying to be a pain in the arse?

Grey Man and wanderer Drax Drodun was again out looking for anyone who would take him seriously and listen to his pleas for assistance. It seems most are more interested [quite rightly] with dodging the various swords, projectiles and spells being fired at each other around the Trinsic War Zone than a grey-bearded old man. Drax is claiming that "There has been born five things of abomination which must be destroyed for fear of life its self being sucked into the Void Chamber and the world as we know it being destroyed and shattered". It seems he has been "reborn" into this world and is looking for anyone who can help him.

During the recent secret ceremony in the Lord Cardinal Gorthyn's House in Rhovanion the former Shadowcourtier known as Samba appeared with his own demonic prediction of the destruction of the world we live in. This follows Lord Light's predictions some weeks ago. More and more of Sosarias Mystic Men, Demons and Prophets are seeing the world at an end - will it go out with a bang or a whimper?"

A dying and badly burnt female was found staggering into Vesper across the famous North Bridge into the city of Bridges last night. She was clutching some parchments and was seen to be talking to a shady character dressed head to foot in black and greys who hurried her into one of the taverns. From where she never returned. All that could be found later was one scrap of paper with the words "Tower of the Moons" written on it in some red ink

Darlings, with all the alcohol imbibing and wild parties going on for everyone (not just those locker-room lads in the Army of Kaldor!) well - we've got a few days worth of articles to catch up on! So in the first part of your bumper Poste, we have items that have come in over the last week...

A late piece of news just in - after the impromptu success of last years 'Carolling in Rhovanion' (as conducted by a drunk Graham the Gray and a slightly more drunk Salazar) the Shadow Court would like to invite one and all to another Christmas Eve Carolling Session, with plenty of wine, beer, mead, and etheric feedback.

Come along from 7:30pm GMT to the Caradhras Inn, Rhovanion. You'll be sure of a warm welcome!


Vesper Trade Caravan Raided
People of Vesper Face An Old Foe!

It appears that Vesper it again under attack from one of its old enemies, bandits. Recently during a trade caravan that was heading to Trinsic to deliver goods, bandits attempted to attack. Luckily for Vesper, The Royal Marksmen, Kaldor and the Elves were close by to lend a hand fighting of the attackers. We are as of yet uncertain which bandits are behind this attack but some old faces were recognized during the fighting by some citizens of Trinsic. Droeden, Lucius Virius and Kempo among others. All thought to be members of that nasty brigand gang. Let?s hope the good people of Vesper can stand strong against such a cowardly enemy!

Last evening The Mint of Vesper, Vespers town bank, was raided by a group of sword wielding brigands! The Vesperians fought a valiant defence but alas failed to protect their treasury. It leaves me wondering what Baron Twothumb must be thinking. Perhaps an interview is in order? We are hearing reports that bounty?s have been posted in Vesper with a 10?000 gold reward for information leading to or the capture of any of these violent thugs.

An odd occurrence took place at the gates of Trinsic, as such things often do. In fact, darlings, your less-confused reporter is almost inclined to simply whip out the word odd, since really, that's all there is to it.

A group of people - with Muldran Skully trawling nearby - visited Trinsic and slightly confused the Guards, by Muldran singing the praises of someone called the Maestro.


He then headed off into town, and left shortly after. In a pink dress.

Must be that time of year again. Warmth. Friendship. Family. Cross dressing.

I was horrified to read of my alleged impending nuptials, and to the Baron of Cove! How dare your reporter (who is so cowardly that they dare not declare their name) put such a complete fabrication into the newspaper?
I thought that this gutter rag could not sink any lower, but once again, you leave me incandescent with rage, at these absolute lies.
For your information, I have been, and still am, living quietly with my relations, Lord and Lady Middlethorn, at the Duchy Tower. His Grace, the Duke can vouch for this, as he visits regularly.
I wish to see a complete retraction of this tissue of lies, and a public apology on the front page, or you shall be hearing from my lawyers forthwith.

Dear Poste
I'm writing about the much maligned Maestro of the Collegium, a delightful young lady by the name of Lyria. A week or so ago, a couple of members of the Shadow Court had a little disagreement with her, and it all went pretty ugly. However, she was most reasonable about the situation, and after I corrected her as to the status of Cherry (being of equal importance within the Court as myself, as a 'Lord Cardinal') she quickly laughed it off as a misunderstanding that could be forgotten. May I add that she has a beautiful laugh, reminiscent of tinkling water, singing robins, and innocent children?

Anyway, just to say that I believe that she is truly embodying the spirit of the season! On another note, I'm wearing a pink dress because I wanted a change. As people know, I have been at the forefront of fashion in previous years, what with my hair, my neon wading boots, and my red dressing gown. I'm a mage, I'm supposed to be eccentric. Besides, it's no more odd than seeing Commander Soulshadow in a dress, hmm?

Darlings, your delightful reporter isn't one to get into all of this mucky business with money. Goodness knows, she can't remember the last time a paycheck was received! But a terse note from the always polite and endearing Kaelyn reminded us that the Monthly Dues have not been paid again. Now, darlings, I know that the Poste costs a pittance (and most of you grubby so-and-sos just read someone else's copy - yes, you, reading this now, feel shame!) but this constant hounding is getting to be a bind on the creative process! How can your gorgeous reporter think when the baliffs are knocking at the door?

So - is anyone able to build printing presses, and put us up for a little while, while an arrangement is reached?


Yewish Blood In The Snow!
Guardsmen Moral Low?

Last evening an outpost near Stonekeep was the scene for a bloody battle. The Guardsmen Militia battled against a force of rampaging brigands! The brigands suffered heavy losses but eventually pushed the militia out of their own outpost! With such a heated conflict in the north, only getting hotter in this chilly time of year, one wonders if this holiday season will see any peace at all.

New Danger?

All has been quiet on the jewelled isle for quite some time, but it seems that the populace - long used to being ruled over by the cruel velvet-encased-iron-fist of the Sultan has been replaced by... another one. News is scarce at the moment, but it seems that a high ranking officer named Alihm rose up against the current Sultan Abdul-Hadir and murdered him in a very public display. This officer has taken over that particular office, and claimed that he is now Sultan.

Whether or not this coup is a quiet one - or one of those noisy ones that draws people from across the seas - we'll have to see.

Turning the Tides
Despite Klion?s much-vaunted claims about his sure and certain victory in the war he started against Trinsic, his credibility (already rather dented by the distinct lack of support from any of his supposed allies, and the ridiculous propaganda produced in Yew) has taken some further heavy knocks over the last few days. First, he lost a skirmish at the Trinsic moongate while Duchy and Kaldorian troops stood and watched. Then he lost an outpost to his local brigands. On Saturday he sent a force of a dozen or so against Trinsic, which was speedily destroyed by the defenders, leaving the great Lord Protector to crawl home again with his tail between his legs. Then later the same day, to add insult to injury, he was attacked in his very own tavern and knocked down yet again by a person or persons unknown.

With his usual lack of compassion (which of course he doesn?t believe in), he has now turned to blatant terrorist tactics against Trinsic, sending a mounted guerilla force in very late on Saturday evening and indiscrimately attacking women and children. This is hardly likely to gain him any sympathy in Trinsic or elsewhere, and it really seems more likely that the citizens and defenders of Trinsic will be even less eager to consider his public offer of clemency. Which, by the way, no-one has yet accepted, as far as we know. A rather speaking comment on the contempt felt by Trinsicians for the self-styled Lord Protector of Yew.

Cove celebrates another victory!
This time against Haven.

Yesterday glasses were raising in Cove as they were out numbered but victorious in battle against The Order of Haven. The attack was a suprise and only a few Covians were around and exhausted from just fighting in exodus.
When the Covians thought all was lost The Baron himself took up arms and charged the remaining men along side Scout Dalamar, Kal Shadowhand and Corporal Mela Arkay. Hats off to the Baron himself who was standing with barely a scratch at the end of the battle - Now thats my kind of man!


Rumours

Covian discipline recently seems to be slacking as Scout Shadowhand and Conan Darkmoon were ripping each other to shreds outside The Trinsic Rose. Poor little Gwen.

Vernissage ~ The Art of Kaelyn from Trinsic

On Sunday night the exhibition of the young aspiring artist Kaelyn from Trinsic opened with a vernissage, giving the visitors the chance to see the paintings and sketches as well as to meet the artist herself and hear the stories behind the canvas. Few artists these days possess the consistency and productivity to feature a full exhibition and thus, the art of Trinsic’s popular guard captain drew many curious visitors into the rooms of the University. Strengthened by the fabulous catering services provided by Stewan Seagull the guests took their time to study and discuss the varying motives and styles. While true art never pleases the taste of every onlooker all were in agreement that Kaelyn shows an extraordinary talent and a promise for many more paintings and exhibitions. Undoubtedly an increase in the value of her pictures will underline these statements.
Those that missed the opening night will have time till next Sunday to visit the exhibition at the Umbra University.





Special Secret Report on the Shadowcourt.

It seems those mysterious mountain dwelling Shadowcourtiers are at it again. Talk now of the undead, vampires, demons, trapped boxes and general debauchery surrounds this lost cult of arcane wizards.

The villagers of Rhovanion report to me more comings and goings this time it seems it was Black Widow and suitor poisoner Tabbitha who has fallen under their spell.

Tabbitha and her more than jumpy body guard Emery were seen entering Vinyamar Library.


Kaldorian Kapers Kwikly Lead to Trouble!

Meanwhile!

Kaldorian Hero and Stalwart Veggy returns after many harrowing battles to find the one light of his life has been carrying on with the maul sergeant Mordred and husband of Cal Soulstealer. He is understandably upset by this and offers to throw himself from the tallest tower of Trinsic.

Mordred meanwhile means to tell Natalie of his double dealing but their respective duties mean they can't get together before Natalie finds out from gossip monger and hound of Darkness Elise. Perhaps Elise has her eyes set on young Natalie herself? or Mordred the Biggest Boy in Kaldor?

The rumor gossips of Trinsic also tell us that “Natalie, who is slow to trust anyone, is absolutely devastated and has run away forever.” We hope she is well and hasnt taken any too drastic action.

Cal Soulstealer has fallen out with love rat Mordred again and sources close to her say that “ She's rather vulnerable from having Kai bugger off again.” Man mountain Kai - afraid of women - seems to have left in order to find his true calling in life after having a vision of his own mortality.

Mordred and Shelly are apparently fleeing to Gorimdor for a month to escape all the flack they're getting. A Kaldorian told us "A lot of people have daggers drawn for Mordred, even his former popularity cant seem to save him."

So beware the Kaldorian Love Rats

More News

On the eve of the Memorial of Jordan Jurrell, Kaldorians marched upon Rogue Town intent upon butchering their former allies, who had helped them by making frequent raids upon the Yewish Militia, whilst being funded for these murderous raids by the supposedly loyalist Trinsic. We can only speculate as to what lead to these events.

However now it is clear to everyone that no one should trust the Kaldorians, who so easily turned and attempted to butcher one of their more numerous allies. Luckily for all concerned the Kaldorians were soundly beaten and chased off by the Brigands, despite inflicting heavy losses upon the criminals.

To the authors of the Trinsician Morning Poste.

Once again, your reporters decide that mere hate speech against anyone born in Yew is not enough, but that they must resort to hypocrisy. Accusing Yew of producing propaganda for daring to report on a few of our many victories, whilst you slaves of Kaldor gloat tirelessly about every single minor success that you achieve? Surely you jest.

The militia has suffered a few set backs as of late, and we can readily admit to this. It's of no great suprise when much of Brittania stands against a small village militia. However, how about at least trying to maintain a pretense of objectivity by reporting on the times when your side fails?

For example, the most recent incident, where a combined force headed by Kaldor charged into Yew, intent on massacring every Yewian that they could. They were promptly dealt with, and took only a few guardsmen down with them. Feel free to warp the facts in such reports - claim they were only coming to Yew to offer peace, that the militia outnumbered them ten to one, or that they didn't want to hurt any innocents. Pretending that it just didn't happen, however, is pathetic.

As for Trinsicians not accepting clemency - no doubt they fear the consequences of doing so. The Trinsic guard has fully submitted to the Kaldorian racial supremacists, and would no doubt help their masters in 're educating' any parties that wished no harm upon the Yewish. I'm fairly sure, however, that the average worker would prefer to let Yew remove those that constantly assert that they are above Brittanians from their city, and thereby bring peace. But, of course, Trinsic has never cared for the wants and needs of the working classes - only of the rich and privilaged.

Once again, I invite Poste reporters to actually make the journey to Yew and meet those that they regard as sub humans. It may prove enlightening, and help them realise how such supposedly inferiour beings have managed to avoid domination at the hands of a foreign power, unlike Trinsic.

Kind of like ring-a-ring-a-roses.

Darlings, your perfect reporter is not a good strategist at the best of times. Discretion being the better part of valour, and all that. But, reports leaked to the Poste suggest that there's precious little planning and plenty of round-and-round going on.

With the Vesperians being remarkably territorial, and protecting the Minoc Moongate from invasion by... well, anything, really, their forces have engaged both Covians and the Yewish - while the Yewish and Covians were busy attacking each other. This whole three-way battle has only just started to take its toll ont he participants, but it's plain to see - even to a reporter like me! - that this particular turn of events cannot carry on for long.

Another notable loss for Cove was a caravan they were trying to escort to Trinsic. It is thought that the Yewish were the ones who made up with the caravan, but with all the chaos going on, it could have been Vesper who confiscated the goods for turning up on their land...


Angelic Delight?
Strange spate of sightings trouble ports

Britain's gossips are working overtime, with the sight of strange glowing figures on the docks as the evenings draw in. Apparently, members of the Royal Guard have started blocking off the area in the evening, stopping people from spreading rumours and words about the strangeness.

An unconfirmed report has suggested that similar white figures were seen at the Trinsic Docks three days ago, although there have been no official reports filed by the Duchy, so this is probably little more than rumour (or bad wine.)


STOP PRESS : Cove and Vesper Negotiations Fail!
Report reached us just as we went to press...

Darlings, your intrepid reporter is used to being in the middle of the news, but being waylaid by a scruffy, sweaty urchin with a piece of paper in the hand is something she'll leave to the mothers. But reading this particular piece of news shows that the negotations and talks between Cove and Vesper to undo recent disruptions seem to have failed.

While departing the talks, it seems that the Vesperians opened fire on the Covians, which this reporter summarises that there is going to be all out war declared before too long...


Rumours

Vesparians and Covians visiting Trinsic have been fighting on the streets while the city guards backs are turned over the last few days. The Covians have been heard calling the Vesparians traitors, while the Vesparians have accused their former allies of trying to conquer and oppress the smaller city of Haven.

Mysterious Meetings in Rhovanion; the Shadow Court have been hosting a series of meetings over the past week; several groups have been seen meeting at both the Library Vinyamar, and a building referred to as the 'Home of the Shadow Order'.

Nujel'm Nudges - nothing much has been heard since the bloody revolution in Nujel'm. It seems as if the state has become insular once again; although other towns are preparing diplomatic overtures just in case.

A Death

Sir Locke Greywolfe, former Paladin Captain of Trinsic,
and husband of Lady Tabbitha Greywolfe,
Grandmaster of the Knights Hospitaller
passed away recently at his family home.

After traveling to Trinsic to seek out Tabbitha and deliver the sad news,
the Paladin's nephew,also named Locke Greywolfe,
has decided to settle for a while in the area, and has signed up to serve
the Army of Kaldor.

Our deepest sympathies, go out to Lady Tabbitha as she comes to terms
with this tragic loss.

Rumors

Kaldorian Commander Cal Soulshadow has been in deep thoughts recently. Perhaps her past has finally caught up with her? Why is it that hard muscled and ballsy Cal cant get a man to stay with her for more than a few months?

Lights in the sky have been seen across Sosaria in the nights. What is up there we wonder and who is behind it?

Undead at the Trinsic Rose? A young whippersnapper was seen walking accompanied through Trinsic on his way to the recent Play about the virtues. It is alleged that he was earlier the victim of an Undead attack.

Undead go to the Play? It seems that the Undead aren?t all ? err ? well whatever. Last week they turned up in Trinsic to watch the play. Like all sane people this reporter made a sharp exit.

One eared red head Seriya De Lacey continues to elude and evade the limelight. Has she finally been moved to another place or perhaps she has found the love of her life and is engaged in night games in their secret love nest?

Messengers have been running themselves half to death carrying documents across the lands ? a tired post boy told us, ?that D?Gar and them Marksmen?s been sendin each over em letters loike crazy recent loike. Ere looket me shoesie? Em looks like ems been eaten by an orcsie ? but no it werent ems jus worn out from all this letter carryin. Why cant em just go to the tavern and talk??

Bucksome wonderlass Gwyn Mines a Happy! Quaintly is also lost it seems. Perhaps she has disappeared down Radishat?s mousehole in the tree of Life? Or perhaps she is caqptured and working as a cabin boy called Bob on one of Sosarias pirate ships?

Skara Brae sources tell us that there has been an increase in criminal activities there with muggings, beatings and acts of larceny all over. Is it the ale? Or is there a new crime boss in town?

Its the war, I tell you!
On a recent hunt to Deceit according to my sources apparently a Covian Dragoon went insane and attacked her own men including the army Captain and should-be-dead Corporal, Hrothgar De-Mar (when is this man going to just DIE?).
The dungeon which is on dagger isle has been said to be under the power of the one known as, The Black Wizard? Or has this Covian just had too little sleep?

Traitor In The Middle
Or, scapegoat on the loose?

A rather disturbing report has been posted under the door of our office by a well-intentioned member of the public:

"Comrades. A traitor has been discovered hiding in our fair town. A mage by the name of Elijah Forest has apparently been passing on trade and military secrets to our enemies the Yewish. New evidence also points that he is about to defect to the Covians given our new struggle with that town. I desire him taken alive and all information that can be extracted from him. Watery Dunking for Popular Lass

Local archer Jadra Good-eye was unceremoniously dumped into the sea after being surrounded by a mob of elves, who had been waiting to meet her following her latest exploits in the Healers at Trinsic. Following a dangerous disease, and the recovery, Jadra had been overheard saying things particularly derogatory to elves, including disparaging comments about the quality of the food a local elven healer had been preparing.

The Poste, of course, does not condone such horrible comments, and although no comment has been received from the Elven community we can only say - good on them! Wash that girl!

ANother sparkling evening of top talks from Umbra's favourites [full report to appear soon]. This seems to have sparked much secretive and scurrying activity. Locals tell us of a granf caravan of pack horses being prepared for moving some large or largish objects.

A new and secretive Wizards tower has appeared in Rhovanion and the inhabitants of the snow-filled valley appear reluctant to talk about it.
