![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the Lola Rennt eating cannibal Queen - the Hooded CLaw. Umbra University ? report as soon as our intrepid reporter gets back from Wind. Strange Metaphysical Force stops all movement across Sosaria for brief time yesterday! For some reason all things seemed to stop for a while yesterday due to some unknown reason ? half poured cups of tea remained half poured, tears stopped their slow march down jilted lovers? faces, birds remained poised like still life sculptures in the skies. Most of Sosarias inhabitants wouldn?t have even noticed this but mighty mage Muldran Skully has promised it wasn?t him and that at the time he was able to move fully around his laboratory and reliquary and that he wasn?t handling Black Rock or raising the dead. *two more sketches are sent to us* *You see a sketch of a man sitting on a bench reading a book in a tavern that looks like it might be the Keg and Anchor tavern. Besides the man you can make out a woman who seems to be reading cards for some other person you cannot really make out. The reading man is well dressed in fine leather clothes and has short hair with a well cared ponytail. He seems quite young and from the sparkle in his eyes you can see that he enjoys laughing and seems to be a kind fellow and his features resemble the ones of Adammair Walker. Adammair seems to be relaxed, though his face shows that he is concentrating onto the book he is reading. On the cover of the book you can see a huge roaring red dragon, with the scales gleaming in the sunlight and in front of it you see a man that seemingly tries to calm it. When you look closely though at the book title you can read it and it says "How to tame a dragon in 101 days, or the short way of not being breakfast". *you see a sketched portrait of a woman facing you. She is about twenty years old with long dark hair that flows down over her shoulders. Her features are soft and her eyes shine kindly though you can see a small sparkle of adventure in them. She is seemingly happy and it shows in the smile that you can see in the picture and if you look closer you see that it looks like Charlotte K?tara. She is wearing a fine embroidered studded bustier which is enhancing her features and seemingly tries to look her best for the one looking at the picture. Around her neck she is wearing a necklace with a small pendant in the shape of a small heart* Rumours Kaldorian Maul Knight Sergeant Mordred is romancing Trinsic guardswoman Natalie... [isn?t he married to famous Commander Cal Soulshadow Kaldors favourite daughter?] And is Mordred's "friendship" with Devante over for good following Devante's flogging in Serpent's Hold last week? Seems like the two boys got upset over having to be flogger and floggee at the same event. [never could stand floggings ? better to behead the guilty and pour salt into the stump and set it on fire ? much better as a way of preventing future problems] Seems like the Drow are back in Trinsic after a while away from the City of Honour. Underdark? Lloth? Spider Queens? Spider-Babies? If anyone can tell us more about what these Drow are really up to , and why they left Naeloth for Trammel please send answers on the back of a human scalp. The Undead still keep on attacking Trinsic also and the guard are finding remains and bits of bones and skeletal remains all across the fair city. Why cant they stick to graveyards and adventurers looking for easy money in the graveyards? The Trinsic Rose was a seething mass of humanity Friday Night ? not only the hoi palloi were there but Ducky Irvyn of Trinsic was seen in garbled riddle-filled conversation with Callum regarding some strange boxes - or did they say boxers? A bevy of sexy lassies were there also at the Rose ? they looked more at home propping up the bar in the infamous Swaggers Inn. ? in the old days they would have been upstairs earning good money at Arnar Thantalar?s Den of Debauchery. Word has spread of a dramatic increase in the cases of certain personal diseases amongst the guardsman of Yew. It is believed that the surge of cases is the result of the Yewish folk mixing with the local elven and dark elven populations. One can only surmise that a lack of suitable firewood has discouraged elf-burnings and instead led the Yewish administration to try breeding them out instead. Trinsic Rose tonight! Tuesday 5th December - 8pm - Performing Arts Centre, Jhelom A Discussion on the Virtue of Valor Know of anything else happening? Let the Poste announce it to all and sundry! Or Monday, or Tuesday! |

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today's Poste is brought to you by Gretcha Gossip ------------ Hanging for High Treason! Trinsic harbours war criminals! Recent events in Trinsic have seen yet another war begin throughout Britannia. The supposedly Loyalist Duke Irvyn Middlethorn amidst the beginnings of this war claimed again to be working for the Crown, well I think we can all say what total load of hypocrisy and stupidity said statement has. The Kaldorians came to Britannia to conquer and enslave us and they're directly threatening Lord British's empire. There's no possible way that can be defendable, I for one have no idea how Trinsic the so called City of Honour can possibly justify defending the Kaldorian invaders against such a feverently Loyalist force such as Yew. Earlier this week, Lord Klion D'Gar and a few troops approached Trinsic with the view of taking away with them long sought after rebel scum, 'Lady' Cal Soulshadow, who as well as invading the Kings lands aided the Vesperian rebels. After numerous attacks in Yewish lands on loyalist soldiers and aiding the rebels in their attempt to take over control of Minoc there is no way of avoiding the fact that 'Lady' Cal Soulshadow is a war criminal. Refusing the more than reasonable request in handing her over (goodness knows why she is allowed to walk freely amongst Trinsicans anyway), the Duchy declared war on Yew, thus confirming what we'd all been thinking, Trinsic is no longer a loyalist city. Not only do they harbour war criminals and traitors to the crown but Trinsic itself leant men to attack the Loyalists in Vesper city and provided a port for Covian supply ships to use and provided the rebels with arms and food. The food which was hoarded by the rebels and denied to the Vesperian people. As I see it, Duke Irvyn should be tried for high treason! Whatever his reasons for not aiding Yew, there is no excuse for his blatant assistance in helping the Kaldorians in their quest to conquer the Kingdom. Mayhaps the Kaldorians have offered him a larger, more profitable title under their regime than Lord British has under his! Also sent in was this picture: ![]() There you have it, sent in by an anonymous Trinsican citizen, a direct threat towards one of the Kings elected members of Nobility. Again, that's treason. What is Trinsic coming to? University Expedition to Montor Monsters, fights and 'The Abyss'. Sent in by A Freelance Reporter After weeks of preparations, scouting missions and information gathering the expedition to the ruined and demon-infested town of Montor finally set out this past Monday. Courageous warriors and mages from the Order of the Knights Hospitaler, the Army of Kaldor, Haven, the Duchy of Trinsic and Vesper, together with some freelancing adventurers, accompanied the University Professor Dorian Abronsius from Umbra who was to conduct the research. The trip to the ruins itself proved to be no problem, nor were the few demons on the outskirts of the area a problem for the experienced fighters. Even a wondrous golden dragon could be disposed quickly. Soon the ruined temple in the south-east of the area had been secured and the excavations began. Buried under the rabble several discoveries were made before the group moved northwards to the Shrine of Chaos ~ ironically a place of peace among the ruins. Last stage of the research was the Tower of Ilshen herself, located at the shores of the Lake. Event took a dramatic turn though when a fearsome golden demon, shaped like a woman, descended the mountain from the Abyss itself, bearing down on the expedition and filling the hearts of the adventurers with fear (some of the males afterwards reported having been struck by some quite different feelings from the succubus as well, yet were unwilling to expand on this notion any more than had been inevitable). Several fighters were knocked out by the spells of the ghastly monster, yet the team managed to regroup and defeat the vile beast. ![]() Once safely returned to civilisation the Professor told your trusty reporter that the expedition had been a great success. Several of the findings are damaged and in need of restoration and cleaning, yet several of the items appear to be of great scientific value. On the list are statues, scrolls, decorated stone vases and stone plates with old runes. The Professor assured us that once the restoration is completed an exhibition would be set up to present the findings to the broad public. He also wishes to relay his thanks to all that helped in the planning and expedition stages of this research project. --------------------------- Rumours! The intelligence of the Kaldorians shines through! It's been heard that Himasa (a young Tokuno guy serving as a maul knight in Kaldor) inadvisably ate an unusual looking mushroom someone left at Trinsic West Gate and passed out. He recovered consciousness after Sergeant Mordred stuck his fingers down Himasa's throat and made him sick. The Commander then administered a strong laxative to purge the rest. The healers was a very puke-stained place after, needless to say! --------------------------- Picture Time *You see an oil painting about an arms length wide and a bit more than an arms length high. It is mostly held in soft darker colours giving the picture a gentle relaxed tone. You can see that the picture shows a comfortable room, which is illuminated by a cosy burning fireplace throwing soft shadows into the room. In the rocking chair sits an old elven woman with long white hair and gentle features, seemingly comfortable and happy. She is wearing a long with gold embroidered black robe and on her nose she has some reading glasses, which are needed as she is reading from a book. On her lap under the book she reads sleeps a red and white stripped cat and you can see that the woman is caressing the cat gently with one hand while holding the book in the other hand. Her face is wrinkled from age, but shows kindness and love while she is reading and when you look closely at her you can see that she has the features of Reann. Also when you look very closely you can make out the title of the book she is reading and it says "Reann's fairy Tales". Around her, on a comfortable and warm looking polar bear rug, sit five elven children none older than five. They seem to listen intently to her story and one of the children seems to be a little frightened as he covers his eyes with his hands. One of the children clutches a big teddy bear in her hands on which something is embroidered which reads like " From Granny Reann to keep you safe" If you look closely you just can make out a small mouse hole in the right corner of the room. And from it a tine face of a mouse is visible and seems to listen intently to the story too.* --------------------------- Letters Dear Helen Hearsay, As you might know the Poste is owing the Duchy quite a lot in rent and so I would like as favour that you nay insult Lady Shelly or the Duchy in your reports, as else we might insist on a quick repayment and that the renting fee might have to be adjusted. I nay want to ask that you nay write the truth, just that you leave out the insulting comments about people and write in a nicer manner Yours Kaelyn Though I can't speak for Miss Hearsay, I do know that the news will out the truth and only the truth! We will not fall flat to blackmail! - G.G Klion, It has been brought to my attention that you have decided to continue to prosecute your futile war against Trinsic. This is not advisable. I remind you that I hold Trinsic in trust for the crown, and have been ratified in that position. You have no jurisdiction within the city bounds and have vastly exceeded your authority in attempting to claim it. Furthermore, your subsequent cowardly attack on my guardsmen was deplorable. I now give you due notice and warning that you have overstepped the mark. Any Yewman or woman found on Trinsic soil will be summarily removed, and a bounty has been placed on the heads of any and all Yewish guards. Trinsic shall not submit to your ridiculous demands, nor be intimidated by your blatant acts of aggression. Irvyn Middlethorn Duke of Trinsic, Servant of the Realm, Defender of the South, etc etc The personal seal of the Duke of Trinsic: An eagle flying, holding the branch of a thornbush in its claws; surrounding are the words "Mine honour is my life; both grow in one; take honour from me, and my life is done." Just a small point Duke, Sir, you state in your letter that "you that I hold Trinsic in trust for the crown", mayhap you should listen to your own words and do something FOR the crown. get the rebels and rebel supporters OUT of the 'City of Honor'. Kaldorians, Covians, Vesperians alike. They have all made their claim to wanting the land of Britannia for themselves, and you freely let them use your City as a base. ![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Todays Eddition is brought to you by the beautiful Polly Patterson Bringing you news from the north! Apologies from the Poste staff! Yes thats right, occasionally we do apologize. As you have seen recently ladies and gents the poste hasn't been as regular as it used to be. Now we apologize for this but with Avamass/Christmas coming and all we have to make preparations. Prepare the turkey, buy presents; even your dearest reporter Polly Patterson has a family locked in a cupboard somewhere and needs to get them sorted for the holiday. Keep sending us stuff in and we'll get the poste up as regularly as possible. Thanks, Polly Patterson. Ceasefire between Marksmen and Kaldorians Accord reached after Devante?s ex is taken prisoner by Poste correspondent, Roger Kilbride The war over Serpent?s Hold seems to be over?for the time being. The war began after Marksmen captain, Devante Stirling, decided that it was time to kick out the Kaldorian occupants and take the island fortress back for Britannia. The Kaldorians, however, maintained that, as the island was given to them by Commander Jordan Jurrel of the Royal Britannian Guard, they had every right to be there, and refused to leave. Subsequently, the Marksmen made little impact on the Kaldorian forces, despite blowing up several buildings three weeks ago. However, the situation reached boiling point on Wednesday after the Marksmen suffered a particularly crushing defeat and left in such a hurry that Captain Stirling?s former fianc?e, Elise, was left behind. Elise, who serves as the regiment?s quartermaster, was taken prisoner by the Kaldorians and detained at their garrison in the Trinsic jungle. It is understood that Commander Soulshadow offered her safe return to Captain Stirling on condition that the Marksmen cease their war, but Stirling had other ideas, shooting the commander in the arm before taking Kaldorian kidnap queen, Shelly, prisoner. Both women were released on Thursday night after the commander travelled to the Marksmen headquarters in New Paws and successfully negotiated a ceasefire. According to the latest rumours, the Marksmen and Kaldorians may not only have reached a ceasefire, but could be fighting alongside each other in defence of Trinsic after several unprovoked acts of aggression from the Yew militia sparked war. This would be an interesting development for the Marksmen, who have been strong allies of Yew for the best part of a year. It could be that the captain has been under pressure from elven ladyfriend Gwen Irima, who has been subject to considerable harassment by the elf-hating Yew militia. The next few days should be interesting, to say the least. Yewmen at it again Claiming Trinsic, not an easy job. According to my sources Klion and a group of lackeys recently marched to Trinsic trying to claim it as their own! What cods-wallap I know though it seems to me the 'Lord Protector' is missing a few brain-cells as he dared to throw insults at two of Trinsic's loved Ladys 'Black widow' Tabbitha and Butch Cal Soulshadow. Below is a statement from the black widow herself which was sent in to me my anaoymouse. Tuesday. I waited at Trinsics West gate to provide transport to the Jhelom Centre of Arts for the Virtue debate. I was engaged in pleasant conversation with Kealyn the Duchy guard and watched her carry out her duties. Suddenly several armed Yew Militia arrived and Kealyn approached them to ask there business. As several more arrived,I recognized their leader and and greeted him 'Ah it is Klion ' He immediately took offense and retorted how I should address as him as Lord Protector. I refused as he does not have my respect and adressess me as 'that wytch' Firmly on his 'high horse' he immediately resorted to the usual verbal threats against me. Realising myself and Kealyn were at a great disadvantage I tried to buy us some time in the hope some more Duchy would arrive for duty. I steered the conversation towards my intention to bring him to trial for recent war crimes against innocent folk. After insulting me further he then turned his threats toward Kealyn, I was some what relieved when Comander Soulshadow arrived. At least she would be able to summon aide if needed. However my relief was short lived as Klion immediately ordered her arrest. The Duchy ordered us into the city, for safety but now we had grown to 9 strong as more guards and passers by,stopped to observe. We blocked his entry to the town Klion decided to leave at this point, with his tail between his legs, throwing veiled threats over his shoulder to your guards ---------------------------------------------- Rumours Oddly our over feminine duke has recently called a meeting between a handful of people! Has he finally grown a backbone and charging back against Yew? Or is he discussing his next hair-do? ---------------------------------------------- Letters Dear Gretcha Gossip, The Kaldorians may have come to these lands with all intentions of raiding and pillaging everyone - as you might know this includes Vesper herself. But the - no, not merely fervent - fanatical Yewmen are a greater danger to everyones land, including the kings. Theirs and apparently your definition of "the King's land" is essentially that some Royalist comes and sticks a flag into a hill and thats that. It is not so. There was land long before there was a Kingdom, and no matter how pretty the flag being stuck in it is, free people will not accept the theft and butchery that people like the Yewish purvey throughout lands that the crown does not hold. It is the counter-attack from those Republics, Baronies, and other ruled lands being brought by the mis-deeds by men like the Yewish that will crush the Kingdom, as has been seen in Minoc. I commend the Duke of Trinsic for his bravery and dignity in knowing not only what is best for all people, but what is best for the Kingdom which he serves - the Yewish zealotry and barbarism not even being tolerated by those who want to achieve much the same thing is proof that the city of honor is still honorable and wise in a time where their fellow Royalists favour ill-concieved raids and attempts of conquest. Signed, Hanse Davion Captain of the Vesper Militia ---------------------------------------------- Adverts Quote:

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the blackrock infected Lola Rennt. ------------ Trinsic Under Fire Attacked from all sides. Darlings, as if it wasn't bad enough being harried by that dreadful Klion, poor Duke Irvyn now has to compete with a crater that's showering a variety of nasty things all across the city. What was once a nice stroll in the park has also turned into a hell festooned in Reapers - and at the time of the year when we should all be enjoying Christmas Trees not Killer Trees. Several reports have been sent into the Poste about this situation, from Duke Irvyn's sketchy notes about which areas of the town are currently in danger, together with some words from the Army of Kaldor. In fact, in a leaked copy of that report your ingenious reporter is surprised that Commander Soulshadow hasn't actually recommended chasing Yewians into the disaster zone. On the Yew front, one can only imagine the propganda that this will be put to. Your bombastic reporter will be unsurprised to see such words as "They Deserve It" and "Damned Wytches Fault". This would be the perfect time for the Yewish to rise above their paranoia - but your sceptical reporter cannot help but think that they'll take advantage of the chaos to rain down more trouble upon the land. ------------ Tolerance A special report Gretcha Gossip writes: Recently, while travelling through Yew, I set about interviewing the locals about the war with Trinsic. During my travels I ended up in Empathy Abbey, where I met a Monk who, instead of giving an interview, handed me a piece of writing - though I don't expect all to have the intelligence needed to read such a piece of work. I thought it only right to have it printed. Quote:
------------ PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT ISSUED FROM THE OFFICE OF THE DUKE, 10th DECEMBER Trinsic is under attack from a large number of evil creatures which appear to be emerging from the crater on Paladin Isle. Those observed so far are: blackrock elementals, blood elementals, gazers, nether vortices, poison elementals, reapers, shadow wyrms, and toxic oozes. These creatures are extremely dangerous, particularly the blackrock elementals. The incursion is for the most part contained on Paladin Isle and in the area of the park, but some creatures, notably the shadow wyrms, have been observed to wander further. It is strongly recommended that you avoid these areas, but be alert! Do not tackle the creatures on your own, seek help. ------------ Official Notice from the Commander of the Royal Guard As of this date, 10th December, 2006, the forces of the Royal Guard should participate in the following actions: i) Assist the Guards of Trinsic in keeping the Creatures from the Crater in that area as much as possible, as well as checking Trinsic for other incursions. ii) Monitor the other Craters, and ensure any incursions near those craters are swiftly dealt with. iii) Investigate ways to prevent Creatures emerging; any clues left by the Four, or changes related to the craters. I will assist in all ways possible in the easing of the strain on forces affected by this attack. Signed, Commander of the Royal Guard, Jordan Jurrel ------------ Letters To all readers, You will have seen the beginnings of Klion?s propaganda against Trinsic. No doubt you will see more. He will stoop to dirty tricks, to cast aspersions on us, to mislead us with lies. Do not take his word for things but seek out the truth for yourself. Ask yourself why, if I am a traitor, he has not sought to indict me before the Council by the due process of law? Indeed, why has the Council itself not called me to account? They are fully aware of my actions, which are all in service to the Kingdom. What has Klion done for the Kingdom but plunge it into war and strife? Ask yourselves: whom is it that Klion really serves? The people of Britannia that his actions leave maimed and dead? Or himself and his own lust for power at the expense of all else? His direct acts of aggression have forced people of all cities and beliefs to rise up against him, and he shall not know rest or an easy conscience until he stops these lies, lays down his arms and learns what it truly is to serve Britannia. Irvyn Middlethorn Duke of Trinsic --- Dear Poste Readers, I found this slip of paper, discarded in the streets of Trinsic. There was a rather gnawed pile of bones nearby it, so I'm wondering if the person who was considering attending - or running - this event had managed to become intimately acquainted with the innards of a Shadow Wyrm. Anyway - the scraps that I could read said: Quote:

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the Hardier and Bigger than You Hooded "RAWR!" Claw. A Lot on This week so here is a Roundup! Lady Tabbitha Calls a Meeting So what has caused this evil to spawn in Trinsic ? How long have these infected creatures appeared here ? There have been no reported sightings of them travelling the roads. No reports from inside the city of any help needed. This is some thing we cannot just ignore. Questions need asking and answers MUST be given and given at a meeting to be called I urge all leaders to gather together tomorrow evening [Monday 11 th Dec ] at the eigth hour. Venue now set to Skara Brae Communuity centre directly South of the moongate Tabbitha Grandmaster Knights Hospitaller Trinsic Rose open tonight! Muldran Skully calls for Riots! Free Ricardo Ricardo has been unjustly sentenced to Death! His fate could be YOURS! Ricardo has shown us that the Ruling Council of Britannia are a group of power hungry {this bit was missing, assume it was a bad word.} Stand Up! You could be NEXT! The amended Charge of High Treason could be placed against YOU, or YOUR FAMILY! Do not let them do this to us! Protest - Free Ricardo - At Castle British - Tuesday at 8pm (GMT) Tuesday 5th December - 7pm - Sword & Shovel Tavern, Valoria Duke Irvyn calls a meeting Greetings to you from Trinsic. In view of the circumstances that have developed here recently following Klion?s unprovoked act of aggression, I wish to invite you to a meeting to discuss the situation and how best to approach dealing with it. This meeting will take place at 9pm* on Wednesday 13th December. For reasons of security, holding the meeting in Trinsic itself is clearly not a good idea. However, also for reasons of security, I will not state here where the meeting will be held. If you will communicate to me your intention of attending, or of sending a representative, I will inform you where to meet. Irvyn Middlethorn Duke of Trinsic, Servant of the Realm, Defender of the South, etc etc A Winter Market! Cove Winter Market - 13th December 8:00PM GMT Lord Protector Klion issues a proclamation Clemency offered to Trinsicans Citizens of Trinsic, The City of Yew does not wish to engage you in warfare, we wish only to pursue the enemies of the Kingdom that you harbour within your City. There is no sense in protecting those who have attacked your friends and cousins in Minoc, nor should you forget that the Kaldorians once waged war upon your very own city. Perhaps your Duke is a coward and unable to resist these enemies of the state? But Yew is not, and we shall drive them from your lands in the name of the Kingdom of Britannia. Those of you who put down your arms and refuse to fight us shall be given clemency; be they human, elf or drow. But those of you who stand against us shall suffer yet more humiliating defeats - as you have experienced these last two evenings. Denounce the traitor Irvyn and rejoin the Kingdom of Britannia! Together we shall crush the enemies of Lord British. Klion D'Gar Humble Servant of the King [Humble my arse the man clearly thinks hes here in Lord British's place!] Rumours Long lost grey robed alleged Dreamsender Drax Drodun - you know one of those who seemed at one time to be plaguing Trinsic and other places and catching on fire and freezing and all sorts, was seen leavign Trinsic West Gate on Froday night. Amidst the sounds of war and battle he could be heard asking for a Green Haired scholar [we all want our own dont we!]. The elves and Kaldorians were fighting away and had their choppers out trying to stick them inside some large burly Yewlings - according to sources close to the Elven Quarter on Friday night. Talking of Yew - a special correspondant has noticed that apparently the new Yew Library or University is a direct architechtural rip-off of Umbras very own University building. Anyone sending in sketches as proof will be rewarded with 10 000 golden crowns and a night out with a mystery guest. Alynora was seen with Muldran Skully and the vaguely mechanical Ravida [also at the Trinsic Rose friday] who seems to have lost her speech patterns and is making no sense. Ravida is it seems very very ill and in need of medical attention - rumours are though that so far all offers of help have been in vain and Ravida continues to go from bad to worse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please send in YOUR rumours gossip and stories so we can include them in here! |

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the Yew Friendly Hooded Claw. A Theory! Special News Report from a Vesperian Scholar who wishes to remain anonymous ?Surely with all the unjust behavior going on at the moment it is only a matter of time before the Town of Justice is hit by a spawning crater! And the town of Justice is Yew and this place will be the next scene of carnage ? please gather yourselves and watch the crater of Yew. Yew is the Centre of Justice and the recent Unjust Trial was held there! Watch and see if this behavior leads to an attack on Yew? A Special Report by Grandmaster Tabbitha I oversaw the setting up of the healing station by the jail as the Duke had requested. However several attempts to do the same by the Inn near Paladin Isle proved impossible. It seemed the more folk tried to quell the invasion, the further into town theinfected creatures came. I reluctantly left Trinsic with Sir Elliot to attend the Town Meeting in Skara Brae. It wasnt pleasing to do that ,leaving bretheren to cope alone, but it was vital we found a solution and possible answers to this occurence. Arriving in Skara Brae a little late,I was mildly surprised to see Klion D'GAr's son Tristan boldly sat at a table. Yes I had stated all leaders' to attend ,I didnt expect to see a Yewman though. ![]() No matter,he might be bringing some thing of value to the table. We would see. Lord Taggart of the Templars was there and before too long others arrived. The meeting with opened with several questions,to begin the debate. Why had this occurred in Trinsic ? Why was the town deserted ? Had the Duke and Duchy fled to safety? How could we restore the city to safety. I opened the debate and it wasnt too long before a flood of ideas and theories began to be shouted out. I was taken aback, by some of the remarks that were made on the |Duchy not guasrding the town adequately but I had to be honest and agree I had seen no one other than Pierre earlier that evening. Cal Soulshadow immediately came to the Duchy's defense [ loudly accomapnied by Gwen the bar supervisior from the Rose] The Comander pointed out the guard were probably fighting over on the Island and aiding the Paladins, but I had to disagree with her as both Pierre and I had been knocked trying to reach there and apart from Paladins falling in large numbers not a flash of a red uniform was seen. Several arguments then broke out amongst the leaders, one at least ,thst was nothing to do with the topic of the meeting. I was accused of not giving enough time for the Duchy to attend the meeting, even though the rest of us had managed it. This was met with the response that the Duke or other high ups in the town , were maybe too busy fighting to attend 'meaningless meetings'. We all of us knew though, that neither Moiraine or the Duke himself would of put their lives at risk in such a way that would leave the town with no leadership. Lord Taggart was being asked about a point he had made. The point that because Trinsic had lowered its moral standing lately, could be the main factor for the infected creatures appearing. Maybe the city's lack of of its Virtue ,Honour, had generated this evil ? This idea brought forth more harsh words and resulted in Commander Soulshadow storming from the meeting muttering words to the effect of 'childish people growing up' In an attempt to steer the meeting back to Trinsic and how we could aide them best.I pointed out my Order had set up adequate healing stations to ease the load from the towns healers.Even they were under attack at times as Shadow wryms amazingly were opening doors and attacking them and even the injured in their sick beds. Lady Cherry and Lord Muldran discussed the crater in the town and how there was an obvious connection. The Shadow Court decided to travel to Minoc and further r4searcvh them.We bid them a safe journey. Others pledged their help as they too sety off to return home, whilst a small group of us remained behind, and discussed more practical reasons why Trinsic of all the places had spawned this horror. Would other cities and towns become infected? Was this an attack on the Virtues? Or was Trinsic just merely reaping what it had sown over past years ? Crater Part One Following the Town Meeting in Skara Brae, Muldran instructed the Court to help investigate the craters - once more. First stop was Minoc Town Hall, where Muldran aimed to show the Courtiers the reports left by Jurrel. And they came face to face with the Commander and several of the Royal Guard. After avoiding treason charges (and explaining that others thought Jurrel was responsible for the Trinsic Invasion, rather than being there at the same time) Jurrel instructed the Court to talk to the Royal Guard who were there. Obsidian, Duo, Luther and Falcon spoke with Gorthyn, Muldran, Cherry, Salazar and Araidius. The four Royal Guard explained that they had spoken with the astronomer Sunnansky who had told them that there was a ninth crater. Jurrel had suggested that they look for places that had characteristics of a crater on the map. The Court decided to search through Buccaneer's Den, while the Royal Guard went to Haven. On the Den, Muldran was abused by a local who suggested he needed the outhouse, and Cherry lead them into a strange hole in the ground, which was a whole network of tunnels. Muldran suggested they could have come from a star impact, but it would have to have been a huge star. Walking further through the tunnels, the group found the passges stretched through the island, and then returned to the Office in Minoc to meet up with the Royal Guard, and to find out what they had discovered. Crater Part Two Mr Skully we are pleased to say the 9th gate has been found and invite you to come an investigate it for research. I enclose a drawing of its location west of Haven docks. Falcon [An image is attached] ![]() Crater Part Three After searching both Haven and Buccaneers Den, the group rejoined in the Minoc Town Hall to discuss their findings. Much to the annoyance of both parties neither had found anything crater like, however a mysterious red rock had been found on Haven. After more discussion with the astronomer, the group were able to find out that the 9th star had indeed fallen ?within Haven?, however no sign of it could be found on the surface, and the astronomer pointed out that the mysterious red rock did not seem quite right. The search continued? The Trouble with Ravida Further investigations into the mystery illness of Ravida and her floating blue shiled have revealed little in the way of information. Her stop-start talking and damaged expression is most worrying though. Please can anyoine find a cure for this desperate woman Rumours That there is a high up and prominent member of Trinsician Society who is a self confessed half-drow. Not that this should lead to any problems in any way as you cant judge a book by its cover. But this writer believes the person should come clean and embrace his or her ancestry and tell the world! Marksman Elise [shouldn?t that be Markswoman?] has been seen in the company of Kaldor?s dashing Talon especially in the Trinsic Rose ? are they just talking over old battle stories or is there something more? Until recently the Marksmen and Kaldor were fighting over Serpent?s Hold. I wonder what kind of serpents the kaldorians are looking to hold now? [Insert your own joke about snakes] Spiritwood Tavern seems to be re-opening its doors after being closed some time. Please go to the fabled Tavern and see for yourself if you can help. Seems there was a recent Undead ?Newborn? escapee and she could be heard screaming and shouting about ?the Shadows? trying to ?drag her back?. Sounds like an ominous portent of doom to this writer. I say keep the Undead where they belong ? err which is being Dead. Or . Um. Dear Poste, It seems my message has been lost in transaction. I'm gratified that the people are being motivated, but will point out again that I have no involvement in setting up this particular happening, in regards to a protest about Ricardo. I was merely passing on the information! Regards, Muldran A Notice MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! War is inescapably upon us all, no matter our politics, our towns are being drawn into another conflict of ?Noble? cause. Unsatisfied with a quiet life, two behemoths of the royal court have rallied you, their people, for a large and bloody game of chess to muse them this cold, Avatarmas-season. In this time of war it is vital that you, the people of Britannia, remain astute and perceptive. In this time of war it is vital that you, the people of Britannia, know your enemy! Your enemy is not the footmen of the Yewish militia! Your enemy is not the soldier of the Duchy guard! Your enemy is not even the men and women of Kaldor! These honest souls are your comrades and brethren, my brothers and sisters! Our enemies are the merchants of spin and propaganda that fill our notice boards, our streets and our Poste! The whips of the manipulative Duke Irvyn will have you believe your brothers and sisters in Yew are zealotous plebeians and barbarians! And no more innocent are the deceptive and impious words of the wretched Lord D?Gar who paint your Trinsician comrades as demon-loving heathens and hedonist swines! Take heed of their games, children of our continent, and distrust their lies! Disbelieve the pamphlets of Trinsic! Distrust the posters of Yew! De-value the corrupt words of the Morning Poste! Question even this very parchment, though it contains no lies my honest brethren! Let no lie push you, the free people, into conflict this Avatarmas-season! I have drunk ale with the Guardsmen of Yew, I have shared whiskey with the free men of Vesper and Trinsic and I have raised my glass even to the men of Kaldor! Demons were none of these! Raise your hammer, raise your scythe and raise your fist! The people of our land are free to choose their fate, let no propaganda shackle you! Bless you all my brethren this festive season! Another Notice Citizens of Trinsic I guess most of you have read the letters of the Yewian Tyrant Klion D?Gar offering mercy to the ones that kneel before his heel. Why should we trade our freedom under a faithful to the crown, Lord Irvyn Middlethorn, against the tyranny of a powerhungry warmangering despot? What has this so called Lord Protector of Yew ever done for Trinsic? Declaring war on Trinsic! Capturing and torturing its citizens! Intimidating Trinsic?s citizens and anyone who would side with us! Do not trust the lies of this madman! It is not your well fare he seeks, but cheap lands to conquer and for that he uses the soldiers of Yew without caring how many people die because of it. Fellow Trinsic citizens, if you don?t want to live under the heel of a powerhungry Tyrant, do your best that the Yewish army does not set a foot upon these lands. Or next time it might be your children that have to fight in his army for his next delusional conquest. Say NO to a Yewian Tyranny, fight with all you can do for a free Trinsic following the Duchy under the crown! A concerned citizen ----------- The hOoded ClAW notes - more and more propaganda more and more people fiddling whilst Trinsic burns - where will be next and who is tryig to stop this? Who you gonna call? |

However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today's Poste is brought to you by Gretcha Gossip ------------ Duchy Captain home! Kaldor Vipers torture Kaelyn! Missing Duchy guard captain, Kaelyn, was finally freed last night after almost a week in captivity. Concerns were raised over her whereabouts after she failed to show up for guard duty last Thursday, but a quick search revealed that she was not at her home, nor had she taken anything with her. Her whereabouts was finally discovered earlier this week by a patrol of Yewish Waywatchers, who spotted the guard captain whilst mounting a daring rescue to free Danifae D'Gar who had also been kidnapped. Kaldor Viper captain, Talon, dressed as a brigand, was seemingly in charge of the kidnappings, swiftly handed the two women over to the Guardsmen, rather than risking his neck when confronted by the guardsmen and the White Eagle mercenaries. Lady Danifae was fortunately unharmed, but the Duchy captain was barely alive. Kaelyn, one of the most popular members of Trinsic’s guard force, had been badly beaten and had three fingernails ripped out during her time with the Kaldorians. She had also developed a fever after a wound became infected, and was left close to death for several days. The Yewish guardsmen unsure what to do with the Duchy captain, daring not to return her until she was in better health incase the Kaldorians took to beating her again, looked after her in the safety of their cells. It’s even said the Yewish offered her baptism, and welcoming to the avatarian church. It was during a period that they took her out for some light exercise to help with her recovery that the evil doing Kaldorians jumped out and attacked the Yewish, dragging Kaelyn off with them. It’s heard she was returned to Trinsic half dead and badly beaten. She is now recovering at an undisclosed location, let us hope that Trinsic intends to bring those responsible to justice. From wars to weddings Former enemies wed in secret By Post Correspondant, Roger Kilbride The Army of Kaldor and the Royal Marksmen may have put aside their personal war in order to concentrate on defending Trinsic, but one starry-eyed couple are hoping the alliance will last. Kaldor Viper captain, Talon, and Marksmen quartermaster, Elise, wed in a secret ceremony in Nujel’m several nights ago, following what can only be described as a whirwind romance. The couple, who met during Elise’s short imprisonment in Strongholt, revealed their relationship last night to their surprised comrades who, up until this weekend, were engaged in a bitter war over Serpent’s Hold. In spite of this, few seemed displeased by the news, including Elise’s former fiancé, Captain Devante Stirling. The only criticism levelled against the couple was from a few individuals disappointed not to have been invited to the wedding. Still, never mind! Commander Soulshadow must be due another wedding soon, now that her divorce from Sergeant Mordred has been finalised. Men of Sosaria, run for your lives! Yew town ransacked! Yewish suffer once again... Sent in by A Freelance Reporter Last eve we heard news that Yew town was attacked by invaders from the high seas! While out on a sea patrol the guardsmen militia were forced to open fire with their cannons as a boat full of angry looking cutthroats attempted to board the two militia ships! After a nasty battle the guardsmen militia landed their ships and retreated to the center of Yew town! Lucky for the citizens of Yew, the militia managed to fend off the would be raiders and held their ground. Perhaps the militia is more suited to land warfare and should keep their feet firmly on the ground? It is believed that the brigands of the fort are behind this attack as there have been a number of skirmishes between them and the militia recently. Beware citizens, traveling in Yew these days can be a deadly task! --------------------------- Rumours! News has travelled from Cove that Grenadier Sergeant Vince Valentine is to wed! Who is the unlucky lady we hear you ask? No other than Kelly Sanderson, Junior Scout. What in Sosaria can she see in him, or is the junior after a quick ladder climb? Will this be wedding bells, or wedding hell? Let us know your opinion! --------------------------- Letters Empty, not a sausage! Come on you lot, get writing. We read and print all letters, from hate mail, to love letters, and even the secret confession of your latest murder! You have something planned? Let us at the poste know about it. ![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today?s Poste is brought to you by the Poste?s own fabulous diva, Ms Kitty DeVine Marksmen Captain missing Devante Stirling disappears in Ilshenar By Poste Correspondant, Roger Kilbride Captain Stirling of the Royal Marksmen has gone missing, according to his elven ladyfriend, Gwen Irima. Stirling had been invited to a meeting with Duke Irvyn on Wednesday night, and had travelled to the meeting place, at Compassion Shrine in Ilshenar. However, the duke, who had been injured by a poison elemental earlier that day, was suddenly taken sick and the meeting was postponed at short notice. Although Captain Stirling was seen entering Trinsic moongate on his way to the shrine, he has not been since. A search party sent out last night recovered Stirling?s bracelet of binding, inscribed ?Gwen Irima?, close to the Compassion Shrine, but there was no sign of the man himself. Friends and allies of the captain fear that he may have been captured by Yew in retaliation for his decision to side with Trinsic against the militia. However, the captain has not yet been spotted in Yew, so there is no solid evidence that this is the case, as yet. Paladins? Isle Crater claims Callum Fitzhugh Shadow Courtier disappears in mad plunge The Shadow Court?s Callum Fitzhugh astonished onlookers earlier this week by riding his ghostly horse directly into the crater on Paladins? Isle. Fitzhugh, whose erratic and often suicidal nature has earned him a reputation for being a drama queen, had been aiding Commander Jordan Jurrel in a fierce battle against the creatures spawned by the crater a week ago. After taking on a never-ending stream of blood and poison elementals, shadow wyrms and nether vortices, Fitzhugh was seen to strip down to his kilt and then spur his horse towards the crater at full pelt, whilst shouting ?Death or Glory!? What Fitzhugh hoped to gain from this seemingly suicidal act is anyone?s guess. His fate is uncertain. Although it seems likely that the ageing warrior has perished, no one really knows what is inside the crater, or where it leads to. Our thoughts are with Lucy Lastic, Fitzhugh?s long-suffering partner, and his daughter Scathatch. ----------------------------- Rumours According to the latest gossip, Duke Irvyn summoned Sosaria?s leaders to a hush hush secret meeting at an undisclosed location. There have been plenty of talks about Trinsic?s latest troubles with the horrible crater on the Paladins? Isle, but apparently, this was not the topic of conversation. Since Mister ?Oo-arrr oo-arr call me Lord Protecturr? Klion was the only leader of note not to be present, can we assume that he was the topic of conversation? It seems likely. Ghastly little horror Claire was seen outside Trinsic last night, though by all accounts she was behaving as if butter wouldn?t melt, for once. Has she learned from having her mouth washed out with soap by the fearsome Commander Soulshadow, or is it all a fa?ade to disguise her fiendish intents? We shall see! ----------------------------- What?s on? TONIGHT: The Trinsic Rose tavern opens, 19.00 - late TOMORROW: The New Paws Cat?s Lair Tavern Night, 8pm ----------------------------- Letters Dear Poste, It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, for it seems the our beloved Poste is no longer a newspaper, but has become a propaganda sheet for Yew. As a former editor of the Poste, and a some time correspondent, I have done my best to contribute to this underfunded and much-maligned newspaper. Sosaria has always been in a constant state of flux, yet the Poste has been there to report the news, from the birth of Duke Irvyn?s son and heir to the terrible invasion of the blackrock elementals. Sadly, though, it seems that, in these troubled times, other editors have been less interested in delivering the news that in printing biased and factually incorrect stories in a deliberate attempt to sway public opinions. Yesterday I submitted a story to the Poste regarding the kidnapping of Captain Kaelyn and Trinsic. To my horror, this story was edited in such a way that the real villains of the piece were made to look like heroes. Clearly, Gretcha Gossip (a made-up name if every I heard one) is either the pen name of one of Klion?s hirelings, if not Klion himself, or she is taking backhanders. Either way, I feel unable to contribute any further news to the Thursday edition of the Poste, knowing that she will twist and manipulate my words to her own design. I have enclosed the original story, which is factually correct, and would be grateful if you would print it so that the world can see the truth. Quote:
Roger Kilbride Poste Correspondant Dear Poste, Regarding your article on the kidnapping of both Captain Kaelyn and Danifae D?Gar, I feel I must point out a few glaring errors. First and foremost, there were no prisoners brought to Strongholt last week after myself. I was there from Wednesday night, so had Kaelyn been taken there, I would have seen her arrive. Secondly, I was treated more than fairly during my stay there, as anyone else could attest I was returned safe and sound, and in one piece. While it is true that Danifae D?Gar was taken to Strongholt on Monday evening, and returned the same day, it is untrue that Kaelyn was handed over to Guardsmen at the same time. I was present during both Danifae?s capture and handover, the second of which took place after the Guardsmen and White Eagles tried to burn down the building she was housed in at the time. It is true that my husband was present on this occasion, however, he was dressed in his full uniform at the time, not as a brigand, as was suggested by your article. On Tuesday evening, Natalie of the Duchy Guard informed Shelly of Kaldor, Talon and myself that she had intelligence regarding Kaelyn?s whereabouts. Acting on this intelligence, Talon went to Yew, with the intention of mounting a rescue. He spoke to me via communication crystal, informing me that the Yewish were making a battered and beaten Kaelyn repeatedly run some kind of gauntlet, knocking her down at the end of it each time. Not long after that, a few of us mobilised to assist with the rescue, and Kaelyn was returned to Trinsic successfully. I would therefore strongly suggest that your reporters check their facts more thoroughly in future, instead of fabricating articles based on one sided stories. Yours Faithfully Sgt. Elise QM Royal Marksmen Regiment Dere Poste. I dont now where you got your informashon from for your report about Captain Kaelyn but it is complete lies wich I now as I was told by a Covian that it was Yew who had got her and it was me sent Talon to find her and then he got her out wich we was all very gratefull for. The Kaldorians didnt do nothing exept rescue her and look after her it was the Yew peple who hert her. Your reporter needs to lern that some things make more sense than others and that report didnt make any. Yours sincerly Natalie Guardswoman Duchy of Trinsic Dear Editor, I was very disappointed to read the fabricated nonsense about Captain Kaelyn's rescue in Thursday's Poste. Your editor, Ms Gossip, is obviously an agent of Yew and should resign immediately for her attempt to include blatant propaganda in her edition. Captain Kaelyn was captured and tortured by the dishonorable dogs of Yew, and rescued by our brave Kaldor Vipers, not the other way around. She will attest to this herself, if you take the time to ask her. I thought this was Ye Morning Poste, not Yew Morning Poste. Yours Azedine Kesh Army of Kaldor Ed ? Well, quite the hornet?s nest Gretcha stirred up there, isn?t it darlings? Perhaps she has a deathwish! Or perhaps she?s been getting a bit to friendly with one of those burly besiegers (though heaven knows why! That hair dye they all seem to use is the most frightful colour, and personally, I?d rather roll in the hay with a man who actually bathed). Either way I can only apologise on behalf of the Poste. Perhaps Miss Kaelyn would like to give her side of the story, for the record? -----------------------------

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the blackrock infected Lola Rennt. ------------ Commander Jordan Jurrel Feared Dead! Gives Life to Thwart Otherworldly Invasion! Darlings, this weekend saw the departure of the stunningly blond Commander Jordan Jurrel. According to the many reports we've received - one of which can be found below - Jurrel sacrificed himself to seal away the badness that had started to spread evil across the land from the craters. No more late nights pining, no more weeping and wailing, no more Jurrel-groupies asking for hair care tips - the world looks like it's going to be a bit less beautiful now... Quote:
------------ Battle of the Egos Yew's Klion Slums It On Saturday, self-proclaimed Lord Protector Klion decided to pay a visit to Trinsic, supported by a number of his guards. Sadly he found no Duchy guards to beat up, as they were all too busy fighting the monsters on Paladin Isle, and had to be satisfied with a brief encounter with a few citizens (none of whom accepted his much vaunted offer of clemency). He and his men went to view the battle against the crater beasts, but only from the safety of the city wall, not risking coming any closer. This seems an action of considerable cowardice, and one that was observed by a number of the defenders, one of whom (Lady Fauna Riboflavin, a well-known and respected Britannian citizen) was heard to comment how typical it was of Yew?s behaviour. Certainly it shows that Klion has no interest in combatting any evil in Sosaria, which leads one to wonder whether he would be a good supreme ruler - the role he seems to have picked out for himself. Even Duke Irvyn has been fighting alongside his people, although not on the front lines as his guards have refused that, but he was several times seen in the park area cutting down the reapers. It would seem that Irvyn is a man who puts his city ahead of his ambition, if he has any. Doesn?t that seem preferable to Klion, a man who is quite willing to sacrifice all his people and everyone else for the sake of his own swollen head ------------ Letters To the Morning Poste, I find your readers reaction to Gretcha Gossip's article on the imprisonment of this "Kaelyn" character most amusing. Assuming that what she wrote was indeed untrue, how is that in any way inconsistent with the papers usual style? Surely they realise that the vast majority of issues are plastered with insidious lies, namely against the Yewish. And yet when, for once, the lies are directed at some other group, there comes a torrent of whining letters in response. The former correspondants accusation of the Poste becoming a "propaganda sheet for Yew" is the most laughable claim I ever ever had the misfortune of reading. Perhaps the general readership can 'dish it out but not take it' when it comes to paper bias, to put it in a colloquial manner. Also - a personal note to "Ms" Kitty DeVine. I do not mind insults of my Besiegers, so long as they are both witty and intelligent. Unfortunately, for all that expensive education your rich daddy no doubt paid for, it appears you haven't picked up the ability to deliver on either of these two fronts. What's that phrase? You can't polish dung? Furthermore, perhaps you would have the honour and decency to say such to our face in future, rather than insult from afar? I regret that I am forced to act in such a shameful manner myself, but I am not aware of where you reside. I suspect you don't know the way to Yew, and have developed your bigoted attitude without ever seeing those you look down upon. However, i'm sure that you could ask someone to escort you here, if you can dare travel to this barbaric and inhospitable land, where you're reliably informed the primitive and working class native savages merely grunt and grumble to communicate. Regards, Sineal Walker, Besieger Corporal of the Guardsmen Militia of Yew. [Lola writes: Well well well - the propganda war when it was the grown-ups was astounding, but now the real people have got involved... we know it's serious. And following Sineal's comments, we have the Trinsic side...] --- Dear poste, It seems you nay got any facts right or only from the Yewish side, so I would like to talk to your reported and ask her where her informations come from. This is an account of what I remember what happened in the last few days. I was at the end of my shift when five or six armored people stopped me near the tavern. They said that there was a bounty of six thousand coins on my capture and that I should come with them and that all would be fine. Knowing that I better take my chances than get kidnapped and sold off, I tried to run bat was knocked down and then carried off. When I awoke I found myself traded to some Yewish officer, who seemed a bit surprised but paid them the gold and put me in a cell. I was then to be questioned and one man came in and asked me to tell me all about Trinsic, its commanders military strength and secrets or he would burn my hair away and my face with it. I told him my name and that I was a guard of the Duchy but my oath nay made it possible to tell them more, so they got another man in there who bound my hands and feet. He then got a knife and started to flick off my fingernails first on the little finger of my left hand and then the ring finger. As I still nay told him anything he wanted to know he also removed the nail of my thumb on the left hand and threatened to do much worse. So he took a dagger with some poison on it and cut my hand. He must have underestimated the poison as I fell unconscious and he nay bothered to treat it as I awoke later on with a hurting hand and a starting fever. Nay one of the guards bothered and I fell into a high fever and I nay can remember much as all was a blurr, but luckily someone finally called a healer and treated my wounds. It took me days to be well enough to stand up again and I was finally led out to wash and do some chores. They then let me watch their training and for their amusement beat me up a few times. If not someone had seen me there and reported to Trinsic that I was held captive, I still would rot in a cell there and probably be babtised (whatever that is) like a Yewish magik user threatened me with. It was during the training where the Yewish beat up each other when one of the kaldorian jumped out of her hiding place and distracted the guards. At the same moment Talon ran from the woods and dragged me along into the woods, until I managed to walk on my own. We then managed to get to Trinsic into safety and to freedom again. So not only did someone under the Yewish command beat me up and kidnap me, no they also tortured me after dragging me onto their lands. If not for the bravery of the ones that helped me I might have died there under Yewish torture. If you wish an interview about the events or any other with me please feel free to come by and when I have time I will surely answer you. I expect a correction of your article as soon as possible with an apology of your reporter, else I will see it necessary to take appropriate measures that such a thing nay happens again. Kaelyn, Guardswoman of the Duchy and resident of Trinsic ------------ What's On? To be Confirmed - It's rumoured that Graham the Gray will be hosting another carolling evening in the Rhovanion Inn of Cahad... Charad... The Inn, in Rhovanion. Watch out for the open invite for people to attend! Know of anything happening? Let the Poste announce it to all and sundry! Or Monday, or Tuesday! |

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] From the blackrock-eating Hooded Claw Paladin Pierre kidnapped by Yew Militia by Poste correspondent Roger Kilbride Trinsic Paladin Pierre Vikor was kidnapped at the weekend by the Guardsmen Militia; the latest in a series of hostile acts perpetrated by Klion in his vendetta against Trinsic. A listening device placed by Kaldor operatives revealed that Pierre?s captors wanted to find a way to dishonour the paladin, and were mulling over various options including cutting off his hands. One of the male voices heard on the device also suggested slaughtering Trinsic?s women and children, or cutting the Trinsic citizens into small pieces while the children were forced to watch. In light of this, Klion?s claim that Trinsic is ?the City of Dishonour? is a bit rich. The mutilation of a man of virtue and the slaughter of innocents are hardly acts that reflect well on Yew, which is fast gaining a reputation as a city of mindless brutality. Trinsic authorities are taking the threats against Pierre seriously. Only last week, Trinsic guard captain Kaelyn had three fingernails torn out by the Yew thugs, whilst Kaldor Viper Captain Talon had an eye gouged out. However, a rescue attempt proved unsuccessful after it emerged that Pierre had been moved from his original cell to a new location. What the Yew militia want with a paladin is unclear at this point. We can only hope that they see sense and release him unharmed. Whilst despot Klion is adamant that he is doing the king?s work, it is unlikely that the Ruling Council would approve of the kidnapping and torture of a paladin. After all, how can you trust a man who swears that he serves the king, yet, by failing to recognise Compassion, does not observe the Virtues as set down by Lord British? - The Hooded Claw asks if Klion will present himself for interview with me in a neutral location to answer these allegations? Crime Spree! Rumours from the street are talking about a new upsurge in the current thieving and general banditry coming from some cut-purses who have been stealing, a robbing and a stabbing all across the lands. Cove, Yew and Trinsic have seen an increase in the crime rate. An insider tells us ?its daylight robbery!? Baron Octiovius and Lady Caroline to Wed! Seems that sharp tongued Caroline has finally found someone willing to put up with her incessant rabbit ? Coves Baron! In a shock development it seems that love lorn Caroline ? who has worked her way through much of Sosarias nobility ? has decided on Cove as her summer retreat. She enjoys the sea breeze and her marriage to the Baron will be reported in here along with pictures once the event has taken place. Whatever Happened to Seriya De Lacey Red haired once darling of the Trinsic social set and seen at close quarters more than once with the Duke of Trinsic [not to mention anyone who calls themselves a leader, noble or even the ancient powerful Ra Karn Moon] seems to have gone missing. The former Five Aces owner hasn?t been seen for a while ? it is rumored her friends have not seen her for some time ? but there is no worrying reports of where she might be. Seriya De Lacey has a long and interesting history as one of Sosaria?s honey pots ? but has yet to be wed ? or at least if she is wed then it?s a very hush hush secret. If you know where she is please let us know. Yewman in Charity Prize Giveaway Klion D Gar ? Yews famous and dashing Overlord ? has again offered to wine and dine any one who will gift aid 1 000 000 gold pieces to the ?Investigating Jordan Jurrels Disappearance fund? and personally show them around his vast lands in Yew accompanied by the merry sounds of laughter coming from his Elven friends ? non humans and magic users especially welcomed. Nujelm Empty or Is there a Hint of Collegium? Word has it that Nujelm may have seen the return of some of its recent inhabitants - or that in fact they are spending more time in Haven. Please let us know if the rumours are true. --------------------- Trinsic Rose tonight Tomorrow = Sword and Shovel Wednesday = Guarding Spirit |
