![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today’s Edition is brought to you by CC Pablo New inhabitants from the new lands? New inhabitants from the new lands? Last Friday evening, two strange creatures were spotted at Trinsic's foremost tavern, the Rose. The creatures, with their purple skin, and tentacles protruding from their faces, made little upstanding. The night's taverncrawlers, represented by both Covians, pixies, Briannian guards, former Vesperian barons and local elves and citizens, took little note of the creatures, who were seemingly friendly and speaking the common tounge well. Much thanks to Trinsic's including and multi-racial politics in the Britannian society, no beings, whatever creed or race, should feel left out. (Rough skwibble) ![]() Oomie, Smash! Orc activity in Trinsic?! Last Wednesday, an Orc wrecked the bakery in Trinsic, scaring the poor employee of Stewan Seagull, newbie baker Colin. When questioned on the attack, Colin didn't reply.. He just tried to flog me some food! Poor chap must still be in shock. The following Friday, the very same Orc supposedly tried to enter the town through the southern gate, but was turned away by the Paladins posted there by the Duchy. There's also another strange Orc that dwells around Trinsic, going by the name Grukthar. Unlike the average Orc, this one shares tales of wanting to be a guard of the Duchy, but after being refused by the Duke he now rambles about becoming human, and a Paladin! He also tells people of his love for a fourteen year old Orphan called Jane, who's supposedly carrying his baby - The Horror! Is this Orc the same as others? Or maybe he's related to the recent goings on of the so called "Wood spirits". Preach It! The Church Fights Back! A female, dressed in black robes and a skullcap hath been a thorn in the Church's side since her arrival in Cove, preventing the rightful work of our Lord, Higher Being. The female is known to be called 'Sonja', and below is a sketch of the individual in question. ![]() I, Father Siegfried, Templar Seneschal of the Church of Cove, declare this woman to be a wanted criminal. All honest citizens and guardsmen of Cove art hereby ordered 'pon her sighting, to place her under arrest and shackle her in a cell, where she shalt remain, for days if need be, until a member of the Clergy is informed of her capture either on the bottom of this warrant, or through another means. This female is guilty of insubordination, open disrespect to the Church, suspicion of heresy, and suspicion of conspiracy to commit vandalism, arson, and murder. Any individuals known to be assisting the criminal must be reported hither immediately, so that they shalt also face punishment on grounds of conspiracy to pervert the cause of Justice, and aiding and abetting a known, and wanted criminal. Shouldst this female present herself before this Saturday, drop down on her knees and beg Avatar for his forgiveness, the above charges may be wavered; though any future outbursts WILL result in a full trial before The Magistrate. † Signed † Father Siegfried, Templar Seneschal The Six Well.. Five.. The so called "Six" are a growing threat, but only five of this so called six have been sighted. We do not know of their origin or their purpose, but they must be taken down before they cause any real problem! Their locations are: Depise Dungeon, Destard Dungeon, Fan Dancer Dojo, Luna and Heartwood. So, protectors of Britannia, call upon your beasts, pick up your swords, and fight for your freedom, your pride, your Britannia! Wedding Bells! Another Wedding.. Lord Kai, a guard of the Duchy and his girlfriend Virelle, finally tied the knot in a local teahouse. Unique setting, and apparently a "spur of the moment" kinda' thing. We wish them good luck on behalf of the Poste! Calm Before The Storm.. It's Gone Quiet In Minoc.. It's gone all quiet in Minoc recently since the Yewish took over, the constant conflict that has been hammering through the town over the past few weeks has finally subsided, for now atleast. Will Vesper and Cove try to make another assault attempt on their neighbouring town and kick the Yewish out? If they are going to do so, maybe now would be a better time than ever? Klion and the D'Gar tribe haven't been seen for some time now, who knows where they are? This upcoming week should plan out to be very interesting in this plot! ---------------------------------------------- Public Notices: Quote:
Warning To All Heading To Cove! Travellers returning from the north claim that the coastal town of Cove is being gripped by a mystery disease. It is thought that the Guardian's spawn that have sought to besiege the town in recent months have brought the illness to Covian shores. The symptoms are said to be: nausea, the coughing up of blood, extreme head and stomach ache, diarrhoea, severe loss of appetite and weakness. It is rumoured that the affliction is highly contagious and that the night sky above Cove glows bright with the pyres of the dead. ---------------------------------------------- Rumours Trinsic's leading hero, Devante Stirling, have returned after an unusually long bed-rest following his recent illness. Now back, in the good custody of Gwen Irima, one hopes he will follow doctor's orders with plenty of rest. Apparently the citizens of Trinsic are getting fed up with the conservative nature of their guard force. Some are even threatening to move elsewhere. Staying with Trinsic, there's been whispers of the chance for an election for a new mayor of Trinsic in the near future. It's not been decided yet, but stay with us to find out soon! Also, retired Duchy Captain Kaelyn hasn't been seen for some while. Maybe she's finally died? One can only hope.. Apparently all the rum is gone. If anyone knows why the rum is gone, please notify me. ---------------------------------------------- Letters No letters this week! ![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today's Edition is brought to you by Elsa Quillmark Sosarian Olympics in two weeks New inhabitants from the new lands? In two weeks time, Vesper is the location for the next series of Sosarian Olympic games. Monday 21st of July is a date worth to reserve for the official opening ceremony of the land's well-known and treasured games. After the ceremony, the city's finest tavern, the Swagger's Inn will be open to provide refreshments to guests. According the programme, the games will continue on Tuesday with single fights to determine Sosaria's best fighter, followed by darts- and archery contests on Wednesday. Thursday will be Mage's Night, with both wresteling and summoning contests. According to the posters, this will be the second olympic games in Sosaria's history. According to the Poste's archives, on the other hand, it will be the third. The first, held back in 2003 in Luna, was a tremendous success. We question whether these games held in Vesper will have the same success, considering Vesper's strained relationships to Britannia, and their recent feuds with the Britannia Guards and the Guardsmen Militia. The Poste will return next Sunday with a more in-depth look at the full programme of the Olympic Games. Trial by Combat introduced in Vesper Vesper getting more uncivilized by the hour? Worried about robbing the jeweler in Vesper? You shouldn't be. Just recently, the new Baron of Vesper, Elliot Heath, introduced a new law, letting any citizen of Vesper defend herself if accused by requesting a Trial of Combat. According to the baronial decreet, "[a]ny citizen of Vesper may, on being accused, or wishing to accuse another, of a crime or civil dispute, may request a Trial by Combat." The trial would then take place as a fight to the death by the accused and the accuser. The only downside to the whole thing is that both sides must agree to take part. In the decreet, Heath calls upon that "Lord Greenie", who is "wholly good", to look upon the trials, and that he would "intervene to ensure that the victor of the combat is righteous in his cause". The Poste has previously looked in to whether a religious mindeset is now coming to Vesper, but we have found little proof that these rumours were true. Is Heath now attempting to force his dominions into religious belief? If so, will the last frontier of freedom in the north, fall? We encourage our readers to provide input. Send your letters to the Poste before our next issue, on Sunday the 13th of July. Outbreak of plague in Yew Church blames faithless immigrants Just after the Poste went to printing last week, we were informed of an outbreak of a contagious plague in Greater Yew. The disease is thought to not only affect the body, but also the mind, with "sufferers demonstrating signs of madness and poor health", according to the clergy in Yew. Known symptoms of the plague are sneezing, coughing, scratching, signs of fatigue, agitation, a dry tounge and insolence. According to the Yewish church, the disease can grip the infected in a varied amount of time: "[A]nything from only a matter of minutes to a number of days, apparently dependent upon your Avatarian faith", a spokesperson from the church told the Poste. The advice of the church is to report any symptoms as early as possible. The dedication to prayer can easily cure the disease, according to the church, but "should the disease continue to ravage the body and mind unchecked, it is thought that burning of the skin is the only natural cure". The Poste would advise all travellers to Yew to keep their Avatarian prayerbook close in case one would encounter the plague. Disaster has been averted! Yew drinking waters cured by "Higher Being" According the official Militia posters, a "Higher Being" has cured Yew's poisoned water sources, the "cause of the ghastly plague that cursed not only the able-bodied of Yew, but the vunerable minds also". (Ed.: See the article above, on the outbreak of the plague in Yew.) ![]() A sketch of infectious Yewish deranged madmen attacking the Militia. According the the same reports, many areas of Yew are still infectious, and other places have gone days without food or water. The Militia, we are assured, have called in extra forces to deliver aid wherever possible. Cove-Trinsic market a success Cove-Trinsic relations improving well Last Wednesday, the first Cove-Trinsic market was held outside the west gates in Trinsic. Although a bleak ghost of the Trinsic markets from around two years ago, many citizens and merchants from across the lands had taken the journey to Trinsic. Merchants all the way from Skara Brae, seemingly prospering from their recent trading activity, had taken the time. Aegnor, the bowyer and artisan, had moved his weekly Repair Hour from the Elven Quarter, not far from the Trinsic moongate, to the West Gate. The long lost Baron of Cove, Octiovus von Richter, seemed to enjoy himself in Trinsic, and were seen enjoying a lively discussion with the the Duke of Trinsic, Irvyn Middlethorn, and his son Isidore M. Other prominent faces, such as Devante Stirling and Baron Edmund Fairholm were also present, but kept their distance from Covian baron. Perhaps not surprising, considering Cove's recent feuds with the Britannia Guards and the Guardmen Militia. Perhaps this is the first in a row of markets by the new best friends? Britannia's National Library soon to open Britannia's newest, and to this date biggest, library soon to open Sources within the corridors of the Great Council tells us that the building of a new library outside the capital of Britain will soon be finished. The library, we are assured, will house one of Britannia's largest book collections to date. The Library of Britannia is situated just outside Britain, next to the garrison of the Britannia Guards who will be responsible for its daily operation, we are told. ![]() Britannia's newest library is "soon to open", according to kingdom officials. The baron, Edmund Fairholm, tells us: - We have had many major contributions for the library, and we welcome many more. According to Fairholm, the new library should be seen as a common heritage of the people of Britannia, and be open to all. To the question of whether so-called "rebels", or republicans, will be allowed in, the baron answers: - Yes, to some extent. Provided they come in peace, I am certain something could be arranged. Perhaps a big leap for Britanna's finest, but a small step for world peace. Covian crops and orchards burnt to the ground News of 'the aftermath' has caused wide spread panic throughout Cove! Visits from those travelling to and from the town, have become more and more infrequent, according to Covian sources. Following orders given by Captain Morana in an attempt to rule out any possible source in connection with the aftermath disease (Ed.: see articles above), the Covian crop fields and orchards to the North and South, were burnt. ![]() The Orchard and crop field of North Altmere as it is burnt. Now predominantly on a diet of fish, the guardsmen and civilians of Cove are relying upon fresh springs and water falls by the Covetous Mountains for their drinking supply. According the Covian source, the disease has not yet brought any confirmed deaths, but anyone with symptoms should be report to the Covian infirmaries as quickly as possible. Bowcrafting and bowcare Yewish marksmen knows how to handle a bow Militia Marksman Kevin Longshot held a workshop yesterday, teaching Yewish marksmen how to handle and care for their bows correctly. The workshop covered the process of crafting both arrows and bows, replacing your own strings and what you should do if the bow gets wet. Upon asking advice, we were told: - If you notice damage to your bow string, a broken strand or wear, replace immediately. No bow goes without care in the big forests of Yew. Knighting in Trinsic Sir Kai, the new champion of the weak By Elsa Quillmark, correspondent on unimportant affairs. Sir Kai, having completed his paladin training under the supervision of Sir Bevier, the well-known knight of Count Emile in Skara Brae, was knighted the other day in a ceremony at Paladin's Isle in Trinsic. The knighthood was presented to him by Sir Bevier, but apparently also Trinsic, where he currently resides, had agreed to have him dubbed a Paladin, as it's called there. ![]() A sketch of Sir Kai's knighthood. Many well known faces were present to welcome the new paladin: Gwen Irima, proprietor of Trinsic's premier tavern, Iljian, General Deisos of Skara Brae, Armsman Bingo Brighton, Commander Esmeralda and Baron Edmund Fairholm of the King's Guard, and Duke Irvyn Middlethorn and his son, Lord Isidore, of Trinsic. "Royal Alliance" trains in Skara Brae Mini-alliance of good and faithful By Elsa Quillmark, from the oh-we're-so-important dept. Earlier this week, the Royal Alliance, represented by the County of Skara Brae, the Duchy of Trinsic and the Britannia Guards, trained under the leadership of Sir Bevier in Skara Brae. ![]() A sketch of a training in Skara Brae. Sir Bevier, General Deisos, brother Winfred Mason, Ms. Gwen Irima, Mr Devante Stirling, Lord Isidore and Cmdr Esmeralda participated, making the total number of participants seven. If anyone attacks Britannia, let me be the first to know when to run. 7th Feluccan Trade Caravan Yew more quiet than in a long time, says experts By Elsa Quillmark, from the what-am-I-doing-in-Yew dept. Yesterday, a number of volunteers had gathered in Yew's town centre to participate in the semi-regular Feluccan trade caravan, a popular weekend past time of many of Britain's more prominent banksitters. The caravan, setting off from Yew, as designated for Skara Brae. Only one brave brigand attacked along the way, however, and followed the caravan all the way to Skara Brae. In other words, a dull day for the volunteers. ![]() A sketch of the trade caravan setting off from Yew. A few familiar faces from the King's Guard, the Guardsmen Militia of Yew and the Duchy of Trinsic was spotted amongst the participants. ![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] This week's edition is brought to you by Elsa Quillmark Battle of Britannian borders continuesSosarian Olympics a success! Verity Sands of the Yewish Militia and Captain Dawn of the Trinsic guardsforce,Yew wins Olympic games Over the course of the past two weeks, the Olympic games have been underway in Vesper. Having been tested in a wide range of activities, ranging from weight lifting to boat racing, and even bear racing (!), Yew turned out to win decisively over the other participants states, excelling in almost every game, followed by Britain (the Britannia Guards) and the County of Skara Brae. The Poste brings you the final results:
![]() both hitting their second bullseye. ![]() The Britannia Guards winning the team combat acitivty, with Yew in second and Skara Brae in third. ![]() Skara Brae taking gold, with Yew winning both the silver and bronze. The Olympic games turned out to be a massive success for Vesper, and for Baron Elliot Heath organizing most of the games. Will Britannia never be safe? Last night, the armies of Cove and Vesper faced the royalist towns of Yew, Britain and Skara Brae in what turned out to be a devastating loss for the northern freedom fighters. The rebels, vastly outnumered by the royalists, demanded the surrender of the recently liberated city of Minoc. The loyalists, on the other hand, wanted the surrender of Cove's Altmere province, as a compensation compensation for "unprovocative attacks" on Britannia. ![]() The Poste was told by its anonymous sources inside the loyalist army, that Sergeant Hoagie, here seen beaten up by Yewish besiegers, recieved "harsh treatment" after the battle. Although making an apparent rapid progress, the royalists, we are told by a Britannian spokesperson, are "expecting to reach the borders of Altmere in a few weeks". So it looks like the war will go on for a long time, dear readers. We will follow it closely. And from our correspondent in Cove: Cove wrapped in illness When will the sickness end? And is a cure in sight? The "Aftermath" continues as a guardsman was taken ill at his post this eve. Junior Guardsman Trent suffered from weariness and coughing fits before collapsing briefly from fatigue during a sentry at the town gates. A commoner, Estel Aralle and Junior Grenadier Takeamada helped Trent to the healers hut inside the town limits but no beds were free. Citizens struck down by the unknown disease which plagues our town filled the healer's to breaking point. ![]() Junior Guardsman Trent at the Covian Hospital. After a short lie down the young guardsman's strength started to return and the coughing ceased enough for him to leave the hospital with the aid of the elf girl and return home for some bed rest. When will the sickness end? And is a cure in sight? Swagger's promote drug dealing Legalized nightshade and narcotics in Vesper According to posters found around Britannia, "the sale of nightshade and other ophiates, toxic mixtures and narcotics" are finally at sale in Vesper's finest (and only) tavern, the Swagger's Inn. Drugs such as nightshade, being known for its devastating effects, are banned from most Britannian towns. Mr Lyim Rashidat, the dealer at the Swagger's, have not been available for comment. Trinsic sends aid to Cove Trinsic concerned the loyalists might win, or that the citizens will suffer? The Duke of Trinsic has called for donations for an aid caravan for Cove's citizens. The caravan will leave from Trinsic at 8 pm Britannian Standard Time on Thursday the 7th of August. Donations are much appreciated, but needs to be in Trinsic before the caravan departs at 8 pm. The Poste asked officer of the Yewish militia, Radek Wilkes, for a comment on Trinsic's generous aid to Cove. "- The relief sent to Cove by the apparently 'loyalist' Trinsic is more proof where Duke Irvyn's loyalties lie", he said, continuing: "- The people of Cove have denied the King's existance and continue to do so, aiding them is only showing that you are no better than a rebel, who is fighting against the King." "- If you persist in aiding rebels, then action shall be taken, and your position as Duke shall be put into jepordy", the Yewish sergeant added. Cove's sergeant Hoagie told us that "- It's unfortunate that the Yewish seem determined to stamp out all gestures of good will in their quest for domination. I think "Mr Wilkes" should leave Trinsic alone." "- We're grateful for this aid from Trinsic, and hope this strengthens the friendship between our fine towns!" says Hoagie, sergeant of the Covian army, assuring Trinsic of Cove's commitment. Advertisements Relief caravan to Cove The Duke of Trinsic, irvyn Middlethorn, is organizing a relief caravan to Cove. Here is a copy of the poster found in Trinsic: Thursday 7th August 8.00pm UK time The circumstances in Cove at present are causing suffering amongst the citizens. The availablility of basic supplies such as food is currently insufficient. Therefore I have offered a caravan of relief supplies to be sent from Trinsic. The intention is to supply fundamental requirements such as bread, meat, fish, and especially fresh fruit and vegetables. Any other donations will be welcomed. Please ensure that they are in Trinsic before the caravan departs. NEWS FLASH!! Mass Murder at the Mill Mutilation of multiple victims Yesterday evening Guardsman of Yew stumbled across the scene of a mass murder. With a death toll totalling 12 and only 2 survivors this is said to be quite possibly the most horrific crime to hit Yew in decades. The victims have not yet been named, but we have been informed that it happened at the Yew Mill. The victims; including a baby, two children and a teenage girl, were said to have been mutilated and many with just their entrails remaining. So far there are no leads as to who commited such a terrifying act, but the two survivors are pointing the finger at Cove. An interview with the Yewish Captain Gretcha Gossip: So Mister Dart, what happened this evening? Captain Dart: Well, what does it look like? The inhabitants and workers of the Yewish Mill have been slaughtered and in the most brutal manner imaginable. Babies, children, women, old men; butchered! Gretcha Gossip: Do you have any leads as to who may have been responsible for this? Captain Dart: I'm not at liberty to say at this stage in the investigation. Although, whoever is responsible can look forward to similar treatment to the children they tore to pieces. Gretcha Gossip: Is it possible that the perpetrator is still in Yew? Captain Dart: It's possible, although extremely unlikely with the entire Militia on the highest alert. Gretcha Gossip: What of the rumours that Cove are guilty of these crimes? Captain Dart: We cannot base our investigation upon rumours, 'Miss Gossip'. Whilst initial evidence may have suggested Covian perpetrators our investigation is ongoing. Gretcha Gossip: What are you and the Militia doing to ensure this doesn't happen again? Captain Dart: It was previously believed that West Yew was amongst the safest districts in Yew, with property in the area being extremely sought after. Despite this atrocity we believe that this is still the case, however we will be doubling our patrols to ensure it remains so. At this point the captain kindly refused further comment and went to deal with his troops. Find more details about the crime scene below. (Please note, those easily offended, young or with weak hearts should skip through this section and the artists interpretation of the scene. It is gory and has turned even the strongest of stomachs. You have been warned). ![]() ![]() ![]() Letters for the Poste Quote:

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today’s Edition is brought to you by CC Pablo The Rebels Attack! But fail.. Earlier this week, Britain sent a caravan to Yew full of supplies to back them up for this ongoing conflict in the north. One thing they seemingly didn't think through was the possible ambush from the rebels! Captain Escaflowne of the Vesperian militia lead the attack which nearly paid off, but they wern't consistant enough to finish the Loyalists off. According to Waywatcher reports, someone inside the royalist camp had informed the Covians and Vesperians of the caravan and its intended path. Acting upon this information the rebel commanders split their forces in two, deploying around Nihon Bridge. Despite having their numbers temporarily stretched, the Northern Allies soon regrouped to outnumber their royalist counterparts and were thereby able to halt their foes' progress. The slaughtering at the Mill.. The story unfolds! Concerning the sad news re received ealier this week of a slaugtering of many innocent Yewish workers there, there has been a big developement in the story determing who's responsible. According to officials in Stonekeep, the Swaggers bar manager, Kiran, was found in stonekeep not so long after the drama unfolded and he stated that he knew of a informant from Cove that told him of the plans. The Covian army though, said otherwise, and just like that Kiran was arrested. He was kept in the cells for a good day or so and questioned before being released in a far from wonderful state. It seems the blame has been shifted onto the infamous 'Mischeif' known for her constant backstabbing of her Covians and the failed framings of those she hates. Find out next week the fate of this corrupted woman. ---------------------------------------------- Public Notices: With the ongoing conflict in the north, it's well advised to only travel with the upmost care and have your wits about you! ---------------------------------------------- Rumours There's been a slow increase in Vampires hanging around Trinsic.. apparently. ---------------------------------------------- Letters I was amused by the letter you published by some Yewish Militiaman in your most recent edition of the Poste concerning that cesspit known as Trinsic. Incidently do you know why the bricks of the town are yellow? It's to match the cowardly streak that runs down its ihhabitants backs! Anyway to correct a obvious error, the darked skin toned race that once briefly hung around like whores in the slum area of the town were not Drow. They were no more Drow than Yews "Lady" Larynda D'Gar. If the writer really wants to know what true Drow are then he should come and see me sometime. However he is right on one point. Those "drow" were there due to the connivance of of a half breed !!!!! called Baroness Moiraine whom the Duke had a fancy for. Both, no doubt, profited from the proceeds of the petty thuggery carried out by these heretics. Of course Von'Sah is no more....Hun'ett saw to that! Vierna Hun'ett Ilharess of all surface Drow. -------- Please keep your news coming into us, we can't write a paper otherwise! ---------------------------------------------- What’s on? ![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today’s Edition is brought to you by Marcus Brunning A home for the Orphans! But what of young Buttons? It would appear that the history filled home known as the Serf's orphanage has changed hands from the kind Sally Buttons to a young squire to the Paladins of honour, known as Kara Du'Monte. Currently, the house appears to be undergoing some renovation in preparation for opening to the public once more. Rumours suggest that Serf's will reopen as an orphanage and a boarding house, with beds for anyone without one, though those rumours can't confirm when this will be. It is unknown as of yet just what has or indeed will become of Miss Buttons; if you have any news of the famed cry-babies where-abouts please write in! Vesper Bank Raided! New group of criminals discovered! According to early reports the main bank of Vesper was ransacked this evening. As of yet there are no leads as to who is behind such an act. Although we are informed it was a group of around seven people who took part in the robbery it would seem that no violence was involved. ![]() Rebecca the minter confirmed that all the vaults were emptied and everything (including some art from the walls) has been taken. We are yet to reach a Guardsman from Vesper to enquire as to whom they believe could be behind such acts, but with the lack of them around to question; I would imagine it wasn’t hard for whomever the perpetrator is to have gotten away with it. Nobles dine whilst locals starve! Times get even harder for the Yewians Despite taxing a sizeable percentage of all Yewish income to line their own pockets and being in possession of all the agricultural land in Yew, House D'Gar have seen fit to finally grace the people of Yew with their presence in their time of need; by confiscating aid brought to them by Trinsic. Apparently the fact that many peasants are struggling to make a single stale loaf of bread last to feed their families is of no consequence; House D'Gar must keep hosting wasteful feasts, even as their people near starvation. With aid arriving in the form of flour from Trinsic, Militia Command had the flour secured and placed under guard. However, the junior ranks tasked with overseeing the protection of the flour found themselves relieved in the early hours of this morning by two men clad in the official armour and uniform of House D'Gar. Militia Command have refused comment at this time, however news of the occurrence has spread like wildfire. Hungry and disgruntled peasants are muttering in the streets of Yew, the general consensus being that whilst disaster after disaster befalls the city, their noble leaders are still too concerned with hiding away within their estates to lend a hand and have even gone so far this time to squash what little hope had come their way. Guardsmen take matters into their own hands! Guardsmen use own manpower to rebuild city After recent attacks on the healing houses of Yew, Guardsmen officials dealt with the problem by using their own buildings as refuge for the sick. With no money to rebuild the properties, both healers are out of action for the foreseeable future. The Yewian Guardsmen however, clearly unhappy at the lack of support received by their leaders have taken matters into their own hands. Sources reveal the Yewians spent the evening working hard to rebuild the ‘Deep Forest Healers’ using their own limited materials and free time. Maybe they do have a heart after all. ---------------------------------------------- Public Notices: From Yew Quote:

---------------------------------------------- Rumours Devante Stirling is at it again with his womanising, he’ll soon be competition for the Captain of Yew. This time it seems he has set his sights on the beautiful Gwen of the Trinsic Rose. Failing in attempts to make her jealous (by declaring his intention to ‘sneak into Lydia’s bedroom’) he had a friend ask her to the ball. Aww.. Unfortunately the renowned womaniser was rejected! I think he needs to work on his lines. Seems the Wilkes’ are expecting another bundle of joy, either that or Mrs Wilkes can simply no longer fit into her uniform because of all the candy she appears to be putting away. When they say ‘eating for two’ I don’t think they mean it literally dear. Trouble seems to be escalating in Yew, since the Mill ‘incident’ the locals have been hit by one disaster after another. Not only are they citizens struggling to make ends meet, there seems to be little in the way of support from the City’s leader. With Lord D’Gar absent and the rest of the D’Gar family seeming not to care about their people rumours of an uprising are rampant throughout the city. ---------------------------------------------- A Tavern Review… The Trinsic Rose Not only is the building here beautiful but the staff are too. I was served by a lovely Lady named Gwen who I am told owns the Rose. She was kind and extremely generous. The building although maybe not to everyone’s taste was exquisitely decorated with all sorts of finery. Spacious yet cosy, The Trinsic Rose has something for everyone. The locals seem to love it and it’s a thumbs up from me! The Trinsic Rose opens every Friday from 8PM and can be found in the Elven Quarter of Trinsic. Letters Quote:

![]() [The news as contained in this post you can take as IC knowledge. However any posts it links to are purely OOC information, unless you happen to have a good explanation why you would know about them IC.] Today’s Edition is brought to you by A Reclusive Writer Britain Moot Begins! Tense Peace As Enemies Gather In Capitol City Over the last few days Britain has played host to people from all corners of the world. As you can see from the sketch below, the air seems very tense and a feeling that someone could instantly snap hangs over us all. Last night a very secretive meeting was held at Lord Blackthorn’s castle and only top brass were allowed to attend, the rest of us were able to visit a bar set up at the blue boar and watch a few duels in the local battle arena. ![]() ---------------------------------------------- Rumours The Serf House opens it's doors! With the renovations to the house done, it would appear that the serf's house orphanage has once again reopened to the public and is offering warm meals or a bed to rest in for anyone that might need one. It is said that the Lady Kara will not turn away those in need and is prepared to offer food to whomever wishes it, all they need to do is ask, or stop by. It also appears to be offering donations to the poor and beleaguered The scent of fresh bread and various spices are a regular aroma to be found around the small house these days ---------------------------------------------- While it does seem like Yew has fallen on hard times, not everything appears to be doom and gloom. Rumours spread about Stonekeep that a shipment of food was left in front of the guard barracks. There appears to be no indication who left the food, save that it appears to be intended to help the food shortage. ---------------------------------------------- Letters ![]() I have written this letter and dispatched these images to the poste to show how the Loyalists break the peace at the peace talks already on the very first day. How can it be that soldiers who proclaim there loyalties to a King are unable to follow the simple laws which involves for us all to keep the peace? As I was there I was able to see the horror these men inflicted on the innocent and young patrons of the tavern, taking out knifes, daggers and dirks stabbing out wildly whilst laughing and drinking heavily. They injured myself and a young barmaid known as Railen of the Vesperian Trading Company. And also saw fit to pull out sharp knuckle breakers to assault a Covian soldier known as Kas Valentine. As I am sat here nursing my broken nose and sense of decency, I can't help to think why people would ever do such a vile thing as attack an innocent woman. Will the Duke of Trinsic who wished to hold these peace talks do nothing to ensure the safety of the local innocent peasantry, or is it an excuse for him to further show his clear loyalties towards the Yewish hounds. And also I am informed that our very own Captain of the Vesperian army was brutally assaulted and further more humiliated within the first two hours upon only stabling his favourite two pets. How can the leaders of the free nations sit by and watch the Yewish do as they please without taking action? These very same men who cut off the arm of one of my own staff and gouged out an eye to satisfy there own lust for revenge, lacking the intelligence to find the real culprits! What do they do? They come and take free men of Vesper into there cells and force out false accusations believing that they are empowered to abuse and hurt innocent and elderly citizens. I spend two days myself in their cells, being beaten by the guardsmen’s own Captain, thrown down stairs, smashed into walls and tormented constantly by the Besieger division. Finally one of there own went out to find some proof, and it amazes me still that only -AFTER-they imprison the man they wish to blame for a crime, then, and -only- then, do they go looking for evidence. What amazes me more is they knew they had made a mistake arresting me as they had let me go loose two days later. However they still continue to plague me and my staff to this very day, when will it end? They are more corrupt then the Guardian himself. Yours in humbleness and in sincerity. Kiran of the Swaggers Inn, Vesper. ---------------------------------------------- Adverts Nothing at all.. ---------------------------------------------- What’s on? ![]() |

![]() Trinsic Edition Poste Reorganization Ye Sosarian Morning Poste is being reorganized. Instead of one edition every... so often.... there will now be four separate regional editions. These new edtions will be written by reporters from Trinsic, Yew, Vesper and Cove. In the future this means more Poste for you ! Outrage as Willyfist play Trinsic Last nights Stirling & Kendall Charity Garden party was the stage as rebel band Willyfist played their first public performance in Trinsic. Onlookers at the event aimed at raising gold for urchins were said to be in a state of "cultural shock" as lead singer Van Cocidius blasted the audience with vulgar and insulting lyrics such as "Somewun' kill that c*** with th'purple cap" and "F*** Britannia, F*** you all !!". Despite the many complaints organisers of the event were said to be happy with the bands ability to draw in a crowd for their charity auction which raised over 300,000 gold for Buttons orphanage of Trinsic. ![]() Company Continues Blockade The Stirling and Kendall Company of Trinsic continues to block guards of the Duchy from using Arrow bridge. This is now the forth week of the blockade and although there has been little in the way of combat the situation remains tense. The conflict started when the Company were apparently insulted by the attitude of the Duchy towards them and in response blocked access to the bridge. As yet it appears that no agreement can be made on how to solve the crisis, the Company have not been entirely clear on what their demands are. ![]() Events Wednesdays : The Ravens Nest Open, from 8pm gmt Fridays : Trinsic Rose Open, from 8pm gmt |
