Temple quest: My tribute to Kiaransalee
Day 1
My first entry of what will be a seven day log. I was given my supplies by Eowyna the night I began to undertake this journey of discovery. After getting equiped with the meager supplies I was given and a quick pause at the Zento bank to place my belongings within thier holds I set off to the Zento moongate. My destination was the lands of Ilsh, and a temple Maddox seemed to think was a possible drow temple to Kiaransalee. I was skeptical of his words but being the explorer type I made the journey. After many trials and wrong turns I finnally found the right land of Ilsh the temple was housed. Valor was what it was called by the Inne Keeper at Twin Oaks. Not a fitting name for a goddess like Kiaransalee but under her banner I would imagine some do receive Valor. I now stand outside the Temple gates, I could feel her presence her very strongly. Tomorrow I will venture inside and see what artifacts I may find within its walls, or perhaps better still, that I may be deemed worthy to see my goddess with my own eyes. Day 2
After sending my familiar away to find Eowyna I ventured into the temple and was quickly assaulted by the undead creatures within. I made a quick prayer to Kiaransalee before I engaged them only to see then slowly slink away. "strange they would leave with the smell of my live flesh mixed within the death and decay of this temple. Bel'la dos Jabbress whol kyorlin phor ussa" I gave my thanks to her for that before continueing on. The undead that haunt these halls paid me no mind as I looked to find what I may about those who once called this place home and perhaps a bit about the black riders. I suspect they may be of Drow origin but one never knows. As I made my way into the lower levels of the temple I came across a blood elemental, and it too left me be. Something that is not undead calls her master as well it seems. But not all things within these walls do. I dispatched a few elder gazers and some hell hounds as I walked the halls. A Deamon to rival all awaited me as I turned down another hall, tha was too much for me to handle and my goddes I knew could not afford me protection for that foul thing. I turned tail and ran much to my displeasure that I would have to run from any creature, but the deamons magic rivaled my own. I came across two set of stairs, one leading to an upper area and one lower into the temple, I elected to go up first. I climbed the few steps to a bright temple above. "strange why would this be above such a haunted temple" I knew this to be no worshiping place of my goddess, so down I went into the catacombs. At last I had found what I sought, the worshiping place of her priesthood. Though long forgotten I could still feel her even stronger here then I could above. I raced along the halls in hopes of finding a library of sorts. |

Day 3
I have finally found it!, the alter room and living quarters or the preists that once inhabited this temple. The rooms wer sparcely furnished, a tattered mat that more then likely served as a bed, a small chest of drawers and a table. After further searching of the rooms I did come across the tattered remains of an alter, sacrificial it seems, her symbol still remained though very light. I produced a small piece of coal and a bit of parchment for a rubbing to prove I was here to my fellow guildmates. I carefully stowed back within my pack and continued down an empty hall. This hall was completely devoid of undead, not even a spec of rotted flesh littered the floors here. I stopped to listen for any sounds that might clue me into what may lie ahead and around the corner, but no sounds, not even a drift or air could I feel. I came across a single door once I made it down the hall. Wizard locked! Could only be the library or something equally as important would require a wizard lock to keep unwanted robbers out. though not equiped with the knowledge to remove the enchantment I became thourghly frustrated. I wanted in! but try as I might the magic was still as strong today as it was when first placed. I have stood outside this door pacing for what may seem the eons. I still couldnt venture through it no matter what I tried or did I still stood outside and the knowledge I sought within. "Xsa, pahntar orn dos" and with that said I shove my blade into the lock on the door. Sucess!!! though I broke my weapon, I managed to open the door. I felt completely stupid, it was not magically closed mearly rusted shut from age. And what did my eyes behold? a vast store of books, and preserved perfectly. Not even a speck of mold adorned the ancient pages, perhaps my goddess's presence keeps them intact. I'm sorry Eowyna but I wont be leaving here with any books should I find something useful. |

Day 4
Sleep eluded me that night and most of the day. I spent my time pouring through book apon book trying to find what I could about her and these black riders. They had come to the temple only hours before with thier dark steeds. I knew I was no match for them, as there was two of them and only one of me, so I returned to the library after sending my message. Still nothing could I find, no information about anything, just a history of the temple and a few notes from the preisthood who inhabited these walls. |

Day 5
I begin to grow restless now, all I could find was that scrap of fabric I sent to Eowyna. I dont know why they came to this temple or if they came while it was inhabited or after its demise. My only clue is this dark blade given to me while in meditation near the temple alter. Today I will go to the upper level and spend sometime in the daylight. Perhaps see if those two riders still roam the forest surrounding the temple or if they left to return to blight Eowyna. Damn, I wish I could help my comrades more, but I took this quest to complete it. Perhaps my goddess will see me fit to start her priesthood anew. |

Day 6
One more day left til my quest is done. I have had no further contact with my goddess within this temple since the other night. Nor do I feel her presence. I watched the forests surrounding me from this mountain temple and have watched the two riders raom the grounds, no doubt waiting till i leave these grounds. On the morrow I will leave and try to find Eowyna, Maddox and the rest to make sure they are safe. I can only hope these riders are mearly watching me and not set out to kill me as well. We shall see on the morrow, I will die then or survive to rejoin my friends |

Re: Temple quest: My tribute to Kiaransalee
Day 6 continued;
I cannot take it any longer. I have seen the riders roaming the forests around me. I'm sorry Eowyna but the dangers of these riders forces her hand, she has bade me abandon this quest and to her I obey. I I quickly summoned up my true armor and casted off this poorly made junk and loot. I will ride forth this night to seek out the enclave. I scanned the forest for any signs of the black riders but could see none. the only blackness I could see was my raven circleing over heard, but wait, ahhh there they were. (for continued story see post under secret of the black riders) |
