Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Lenley is a ratman and he is under attack before anyone even accepts his quest. His last position has been tracked, and the Justicars are searching for him. Everyone make yourself very familiar with Sanctuary and becareful. There are many n'telquessar who would cut your throats as well as their mothers to keep that Gem from the Temple and the Seldarine.

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Eowyna gazed into the Mirror of Purification. She had been tracking the movements of Lenley the Snitch for some time. He seemed to spend most of his time stealthing through the tunnels beneath Sanctuary, foraging for tasty morsels and shiney objects. And no wonder! It seemed every time the scruffy little ratman poked his whiskers up into the upper cave of Sanctuary (at about 15-20 minutes before the hour), some gargoyle or other monster clobbered him within seconds. Eowyna hoped the Justicars would be able to recover the seeing stone--he seemed such a difficult one to track! It would take patience and confidence to see it done. But the Justicars were skilled and courageous; they would manage.

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

"An Lor Xen!" Disappearing again Izual slowly makes progress through the path to Sanctuary. This is even worse than I imagined, thought Izual.

"Wis Quas." The Titan, Gargoyles, and Ratmen Mages were all over him. There is no hiding, barely enough room to breath let alone fight. Surveying the landscape quickly he darts towards Sanctuary on his charger. The piles of garbage, deteriorating structures, and mass of orcs, rats, and other nasties were everywhere. Drawing a mental map Izual concludes there are a few locations where Lenley may be found.

Upon reaching the make shift wall in Sanctuary, Tiana the Guard allows Izual entrance and fights off an orc who had been nearby.

"Thank you." Said Izual.
"No thanks needed, just doing my job." Replied Taina.

Now in the safety of Sanctuary Izual quickly heals himself and begins asking around if anyone may know the whereabouts of Lenley.

Most did not know who Lenley was, and the elders only knew he was out there, somewhere, and none of the others out there enjoyed his company.

With little information other than the layout of the path, Izual summoned his charger and rode full tilt towards the exit. Not much to go off of, he thought, looks like clearing the way may be the only answer. I'm going to have a rough day tomorrow...

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Annwfn Gwydden:

"I poked my nose into Sanctuary this afternoon just to see if I could catch a glimpse of Lenley the Snitch. And what should I find, but a trail of cheese leading to a high shelf to the east of the main road. I waited some time, but in vain, for Lenley did not sneak up from the rat tunnels. However, this cheese leads me to suspect that Lenley has indeed been in this vicinity--and recently."

"Good luck to everyone on the quest." --Ann

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Perhaps if Izual wasn't being romantic somewhere with Raya, this Lenley would be found and the gem returned back into Elven hands. Its a good thing Maeglin is back while Izual is distracted. *Remembers when Dip was distracted by Twigg and smiles* Times are good and we are becoming stronger each and everyday. I shouldn't be so hard, our enemies have been beaten and reduced to to rabble. Its Spring time, and enjoy it my friends. Good luck to you Izual and Raya, may your "Mela" for one and another grow.

Angry Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Beetle's log. Stardate 32006.28: I first saw him with my own eyes late last week at about 5 til the hour of 8am. I was working on a theory that he emerged from the depths on server up. Although, I could not arrive at the thoeorized time, when I did, there he was, standing in all his squeaky snitchiness, asking for assistance. If you refer to the cheese picture submitted above, I observed him to the NE of Duchess' location, between the decaying wall and the mountain, on the "shelf", as she called it! Miraculously, the area spawn was almost nill, save for a sword-wielding ratman approximately 2 steps from Lenley. As I fought back my utter glee in finally seeing him with my own eyes, and realizing who he was, the (insert your favorite negative word(s) here) sword-wielding ratman cut him down and left him for dead...

I checked at numerous different times over the next several days, and tested another hypothesis that perhaps becoming a weapon of mass distruction on the locals would peak his curiosity enough to emerge. No such luck. No further sightings were to be...

And then this morning, once again testing the server-up theory, Beetle, atop his trusty metal stead, doth enter Lenley's prison once again at half past the hour of 7am. Battling bravely through the very thick area locals, he pushed his way (followed by the parade of locals and lagging attack animation), to the location of the previous sighting. And there, through his sleep-crusted eyes, did he once again see the target of his search! He ran past the spot towards the gargoyle shelf, hoping the local parade would not notice the defenseless Lenley standing there. After a brief pause, he took several cautious steps back to Lenley's location, only to find, yet again, a corpse...

I appologize, my fellow guild mates. I have failed yet again to speak with the ever-elusive Lenley. But worry not, for I have devised a strategy to extract the required information, and will start testing it right away tomorrow! In the mean time, I will continue to check at random intervals for Lenley, and report any new information here.

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

Eowyna read Beetle's log with a smile of satisfaction. Yes, indeed, the people of the Enclave were the finest of elves. Very soon now, someone would be successful in contacting Lenley and returning the gem of seeing to it's proper place in the Temple. Much courage and skill were required to brave the tunnels leading to Sanctuary and the vile denizens that resided there, but she had faith -- no one was better equipped to complete the quest than the people of the Enclave. Well done, Beetle!

Unhappy Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

beetle's log stardate 42006.06: I think his name should officially be changed to Lenley the Sneak, or Lenley the Ghost, because they would be more accurate titles! Although I have seen Lenley several more times, it has not been beneficial. He must have a "Kill Me" sticky note on his back, because as soon as one of the locals comes within seek/attack range, Lenley is dead shortly thereafter. Right after server-up at the above mentioned location still seems to be the best time and place to find him. Last time I made more progress and actually got the quest before he died, although I didn't get a chance to read what it said. Apparently it disappears when he dies I did want to mention that sometimes he goes down towards the gargoyle pit instead of up towards the mountain. He is easily and quickly killed when that happens. It appears that it will take a combined effort to bring Lenley to safety; one or more people to lure the spawn away and do pest control, and the other to heal him and lead him to safety. I hope this has been beneficial, and if anyone wants to try it out, lmk, and we can plan to meet there at about 7:15am Central time.

Re: Lenley the Snitch Quest

I've seen Lenley twice so far, and both times he didn't last longer than it took me to accept the quest. I'd hear the chime of acceptance, then the chime of failure. I may have to leave some armor out for the poor fellow, he doesn't take much before he goes down.
