WoW: The Fight For Halaa
The sun-dappled fields of Nagrand are deceptively quiet near the unassuming town of Halaa, and the air is charged with nervous anticipation – like the calm before the storm. The contested city is of key strategic importance for both factions in their efforts to gain a foothold in Outland. As a result, Halaa is sure to change hands many times over the course of their struggle. The effort and focus needed to capture the city will only be matched by what it will take to subsequently hold the city from invasion. However, the occupying faction will gain a substantial benefit in the form of help from powerful NPC guards, as well as access to vendor NPCs who will offer a selection of purchasable rewards. The currency to purchase these rewards will primarily consist of tokens earned from defeating enemy players in the Halaa region. Sometime in the night, Halaa had been taken over by the Horde. A Call to Arms had been sent out, and every able bodied Elf and Alliance member answered the call. As for myself, being The Bandit King I recieved a special invitation via Royal Courier. King Elrond of the Elves has requested that I asist in retaking Halaa. An offer I could not turn down. ![]() The first part of the assualt on Halaa, required us to attack from the air dropping bombs on the Blood Elves and their Horde Allies. Once Air Supremacy was established, we were able to eliminate the guards. the Horde was intent on maintaining control over Halaa. ![]() With Halaa's Defenses weakened, We began the ground assualt. Clearing buildings of their Horde Defenders. Eventually our band of heroes managed to seize control of Halaa. For now, Halaa belonged to us, but we all knew that there would be a counteract. We did not not have to wait long. ![]() A Blood Elf Hunter Morrigan had tried to kill me, but she learned that a Hunter is no match for The Bandit King. I grinned as my Assasin Blades dripped with her blood as The Airborne had begun to drop in for the fight. (Yes, Dip. A combat jump. )![]() A Tauren Shaman Radamantis learned that a combination of mindnumbing and wound poisoning was very fatal. I am not bond by Chivilary when it comes to killing. The only thing that matters is that I win. ![]() A Tauren Hunter Stripes thought he could stand toe to toe with me. Moo was he wrong. ![]() Fighting went on for a while, but eventually the Horde had lost their will to fight and returned to the foul, musty places they call home. With the fighting over with, it was time to go collect my gold. I take comfort in the fact that more Friends and Allies will be joining in the fight against Tyranny. It will just take time. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
