Taint

Currently taint is priced at 800k a piece, and how many hundreds do we still have. That offer of 10 for 2 million is way under price.

Taint is the ingredient in high demand. The higher it sells, the better it is on my end, but overall its the UO economy who will end up paying more for items due to inflation.

Scrolls can only be used once, and a character is set for life and is in no longer in demand for them. As more and more scrolls are introduced on the market, their value lowers. This hasn't been the case with ingredients like taint (mullicent is in another bargin basement category in itself). Ingredients which can be used to make things, and with every expansion the options to make things become more and more.

There is much less risk involved and more to gain by doing a peerless(Trammel Facet). You dont have to defend a peerless from a raid, and you have the added bonus of being rewarded with peerless loot such as Crimson Cincture and Crystalline ring. Both items retail for 30 million in gold. This benefit has made many millionaires in the course of an evening.

It is dreadful that something that can so easily be acquired (Cincture, Crystaline Ring, Ingredients) is more profitable than something extremely hard fought for (Power Scrolls).

Currently taint is running lowend 200k to high end 500k. I have no plans on liquiding any of current inventory until we see what is available for manufacture during the next expansion.

I don't think you should fear anyone taking your 'taint Grim Dysart, atleast not until you get rid of all those dingleberries.
