'Most Advanced" car revealed.
A car which can travel 300 miles on a single tank of liquid hydrogen, with no carbon emissions, has been unveiled.
Ford claims it is the most significant development since cars were invented. Jon Kay reports from California. http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/avdb/new...69_16x9_bb.asx ![]() ![]() Get your own personal forum Like these ones - Personal forum listing Bored @ work? Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
Hm. No engine? That's kinda odd lol. I wonder about how safe the car would be too. What happens if you get in a wreck? Would the tanks explode there under the floorboards?
If it is safe and they work it all out, it'd be awesome! ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. Some choose to grow strong at the broken places. --Harold J. Duarte-Bernhardt ![]() Thanks to Atlas for the fantastic sig! |

Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
I doubt it's any less dangerous than Petrol, that stuff is behind the back seats, under the floor and in front of ya in the engine!

Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
Well usually the gas tanks don't explode if they are under pressure, or just from an impact. Unless, of course, you are driving a Pinto...
The hydrogen looked like it was in pressurized tanks. That's what I was wondering about. If they crinkle under an impact, is the pressure going to make them explode? :/ ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. Some choose to grow strong at the broken places. --Harold J. Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
y is ford saying anything about this car.. its made by GM and has chevy logos all over it?... I know ford had plans for a fuel cell car as well, and I honestly think it is an great idea and a much need step forward.. but I will be amazed if it is avilible in the next 20 years for a bunch of different reasons.

Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
I'm thinking the billion dollars it took to make that one may make it a little steep in price myself. lol
If it was safe, and affordable, and actually works and wouldn't leave me stranded on the side of the road somewhere, I'd drive it. I wonder how/where you would refuel it tho? ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. Some choose to grow strong at the broken places. --Harold J. Re: 'Most Advanced" car revealed.
I didn't hear anything from FORD in the clip...just GM and saw the Chevy symbol. Definitely interesting and the best way to go if it became affordable.
