I'll always applaud a well planned assassination having been my favorite profession next to T-hunting.. but love her or hate her.. killing her is sort of like claiming victory in battle with the ant you just squashed or the dog you just kicked. The woman wields a lantern for christ sake. ![]()

The bottom line ... not only did he try to question the validity of the Peoples Choice Award vote counts but he wanted to drag folks into question that had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do directly with this contest. Sonoma Angels of Light [SAL], Keepers of the Virtuous Path [KVP], and the Peoples Army of Sonoma [PAS] were not involved in the organizing or in the implementation of the People's Choice Award. PAS graciously accepted our request to place the People's Choice Award writings, ballot boxes, and prizes at the PAS Fellowship & Crafter Hall. Two other Festival events were scheduled that day inside the Hall so by having the Peoples Choice Award contest there, it would give everyone, including himself, a chance to vote for his or her favorite story. What we found interesting was when we tallied the ballot box votes for the last time, the same story Seven Roses - Seven Men (entry #8) had won the Judges Award and the Peoples Choice Award. Therefore, as the PvP Gladiator event ended, we excitedly announced the winner, Lord Nexus for both awards. It was only after the Festival had long ended and the winning announcement made (about an hour) that we received a mass message from him saying that his entry (#5) had won and that the contest was rigged. Little did he know that it was not Love Spirit, PAS, KVP, or anyone on a familiar basis with the winner, that counted the final ballot numbers but was tallied by folks who had no personal interest in who won. To stuff the ballots after the Festival was over and claim foul only because I did not have the foresight to demolish the boxes immediately when done is my fault and it is a lesson well learned. However, to question the ethics of those who had nothing to do with the People's Choice Award contest is ludicrous and to question my honesty is well ... plain delusional. *so now this thread receives a click of the lock because we shall deal with it on the battlefield in game! |
