 | Tokuno Festival to end summer with a sizzle ... Tokuno Summerfest begins this Sunday, September 17th, at 11:00 AM (PST), 1:00 PM (CST), 2:00 PM (EST), 10:00 AM (AK), 8:00 AM (HI). The end-of-summertime is jam packed with fun and hot action on the Tokuno islands with festival events which include … *all times noted are Pacific Time 11:00 AM – During the Opening Ceremony at the Bank of Zento on Makoto-jima Island, receive your special picnic basket filled with surprises and details about all the summer festival events. 11:15 AM – Have fun with Santa and his companions during his last days of summer vacation at Santa’s Waterpark. Complete with waterslides and Mongbat dart contests, with special presents for everyone given by his fun loving elves. 12:00 PM – After visiting Santa’s Waterpark get ready for some hot and heavy fighting by participating in Santa’s favorite pastime - the Champ Spawn - located on Isamu-jima Island. 1:00 PM – On Homare-jima Island brace yourself for a fast and frantic maze race for the Buddha and sail away in the Drunkin Nakee Buddha Race to Save the Lost Survivor. 1:30 PM – After all the sizzling fun, cool down in the shade and cast your cares away during the Net Fishing contest on the foot bridge in Makoto-jima (Zento). 2:00 PM – After catching your breath at the Net Fishing contest head to the beach along the north shore of Makoto-jima, (Zento) and partake in the Watermelon Volleyball Relay event while listening to the sounds of the crashing surf on the shoreline. No seed spitting allowed! 2:30 PM – A few steps away from the Watermelon Volleyball Relay the Gigantic Net Toss will certainly get the skin blistering and the blood boiling again. Guaranteed chaos and mayhem will jump out of the water to greet participants with the tossing of countless multi colored nets! 3:30 PM – As the sun sets on Tokuno’s Summer Festival the ‘MY UO TALE’ essay winners will be announced and special invitation bags will be given out as gates open for more party time fun at Auctions R Us to help bid a final farewell to the Summer of 2006.
