Sonoma's Holiday Home Deco Contest (Dec. 16-24)

Holiday Home Deco Contest for Sonoma residents starts Saturday, December 16th.

The rules for the deco contest are as follows:

1. Entries will be accepted from Saturday, December 16 through Friday, December 22 at 5pm Pacific, (7pm Central, 8pm Eastern). Contact Queen Mum by PM or by ICQ @ 168-812-018 to submit your entry.

You will be asked to meet Queen Mum in game and provide the following:

* A marked rune from the house being entered. Stand inside the entry home to mark the rune so that the name and facet of the entry home will show on rune.

A journal (book) with the following information:

* your character name

* your homes coordinates

* what facet and general area your home is in

* the name of your holiday home and the house owner name on home sign

* an indication of whether or not you wish your holiday home to be visited during the Tour of Holiday Homes for the public on Saturday, December 23, 5pm Pacific, (7pm Central, 8pm Eastern)

** Your holiday home must be made public for viewing by the judges (and for the tour if entered) starting Friday, December 22 through Saturday, December 23, 9pm Pacific, (11pm Central, Midnight Eastern) so please remember this when entering the contest.

It is possible that incomplete entries may be discarded for lack of information. Please make sure to include everything asked for when you enter. If no preference is indicated for being added to the Tour of Holiday Homes for the public, it will be assumed your holiday home is NOT to be added.

2. Judging of the entries will occur throughout the day on Saturday, December 23, by guest judges (off shard players). Judges will receive a runebook to view the eligible holiday homes, so expect that there will be people visiting your holiday home all through the day.

* Home owner/decorators are asked to leave their decorations intact through Saturday evening, (9pm Pacific, 11pm Central, Midnight Eastern) to allow for judging (and touring if the holiday home participant chooses to be included in tour). We will meet at the Skara Brae Community Center (Trammel) at 5pm Pacific, 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern, to start the Tour of Holiday Homes.

3. Winners will be announced on Sunday, December 24, no later than 9pm Pacific, (11pm Central, Midnight Eastern) on this Sonoma forum/board.

4. Awards:

* Blue Ribbon Award - This Best of the Best award recognizes the highest combined score of the judges and receives a gift box filled with:
A Check for 250K

Five Mounted Pixie Deeds (Evil Home Decor Collection)

A Whispering Rose (UO gift of February 2000)

* Spirit of the Season Awards will be presented to all remaining homes entered into the contest, and will receive a Gift Box with a Special Surprize inside!

Decisions of the guest judges shall be final in all respects.
