Hello All -

I'm in the process of creating another tamer, simply because nothing stands toe-to-toe with a peerless better than a Greater Dragon...except maybe two Greater Dragons!

This will be a secondary character that I use primarily to get travesty keys. Let me know your thoughts.

85 Animal Taming (110 with items)
100 Animal Lore
110 Vet
100 Stealth
80 Hiding
100 Spellweaving
100 Meditation
Remaining points in magery for recall and Arch Cure, with item bonus

I can also monkey around with burglar's bandana and shadow dancers, if need be. I'd prefer to wear the amazing darkwood suit of awesomeness. Darkwood Suit Up!

The whole concept is to sneak past the annoying red key hallways in Citadel to the actual mini-boss area. At the moment, it takes my tamer an hour to get down there without dying. My stealthers don't have the mana to cast EVs fast enough. This is my solution.

Will you have enough magery to cast gate with or without scrolls? Gotta get the dragons to a stable at some point before they bond, no?

I assumed he was planning on using scrolls with items to be high enough to gate...that or bumming a ride from someone else. teehee

The other option would be to drop med, unless you're planning on it compensating for the use of the darkwood armor set...

It's an interesting template, and it might work...let me know!

To get the dragon to the stable, one merely has to feed it, say "All Stay" and recall to the stable. A simple log out/log in will bring the pet to you!

Think you will have a hard time keeping dragon alive without high enough magery especially dealing with peerless boss. The rooms you can vet for the most part, stay opposite side of any ninja's as they have a whirlwind type attack that if hits you will cause ninja to target switch.

If the primary purpose is key gathering, may not need spellweaving. Found out hard way about hitting citadel spawn with a WoD as some can repel attacks back and I one hit killed myself.. Oops..

My tamer, i actually gave up some stable slots and dropped vet down to 80, minimum needed to rez pet.

Another useful skill for a key gathering tamer, Chivalry (55 is enough) to remove curse when getting Lady M quest sometimes Coil wants to play and mortal/deadly poison combo can take down a greater dragon.

Short of it, think you may do fine for gathering trav keys without magery, but if going to take that tamer into any peerless area or gather other keys, going to need magery to heal from a distance as many key areas and bosses will target switch to you if you try to get close enough to vet.

Excellent point. I may need to rethink the 100 stealth and the 110 Vet. I've gone up to 100 lore, because I was feeding my dragon too frequently.

For the record: The stealth tamer template works spectacularly for gathering travesty keys. Just stand there until the mobs are dead, occaisionally applying a bandage.

Previously unknown (to me) factoid: you can hide immediately after you apply a bandaid. This rocks.

Now, I just need to perfect my two tamer tango against Travesty.
