I had to confirm Ancient Wyrm Paras and Lord Oaks

After seeing someone's post (either here on on stratics) about *ahem* drafting an Ancient Wyrm (Paragon) to assist with the Ilsh Lord Oaks, I had to try it for myself.

Unfortunately, I didn't get screen shots. Maybe next time. However, I can confirm that an AW(P) is more than capable of advancing the spawn all the way to Lord Oaks. Here's what you need:

- Patience; I got lucky and spawned a paragon in 5 tries
- Good connection; Paragons are fast, and lag kills
- High resists; I was decked out in an arty-fied, LRC high resists suit that enabled me to absorb 120 points of damage without dying
- Spellweaving; for Gife of Life and those times when 120hp isn't enough
- Death wish; in order to maximize the effectiveness of the AW(P), I had to aggro it and drag it all around the altar area. Fortunately, the only other player in the area joined my project late and didn't mind dodging (and, more importantly, didn't complain about my experiment to the powers that be)
- Insurance money; see "Death Wish" above.

I almost lost the para twice: once to an ambitious kirin gank, including about 12 normals and 3 paragons; a second time to a serpentine dragon paragon gank w/angel backup. The AW(P) actually died after killing exactly enough of the spawn to pop Oaks, so I wasn't able to test it against him and his Queen.

Oh yeah - I also used Knight of Valor to juice up the Kirin level, because it was boring me.

I didn't kill Oaks because 1) the AW(P) died and 2) My 6wk old daughter woke up. The other fellow managed to disco Lord Oaks, so the two of our trained cus could likely have finished the job.

Took me about 2 hours (largely solo) to spawn Oaks.

This would be a fun WRR event for the future...Mum?

Hmmm... let's see, it does sound interesting *cough*exploitation*cough*, but something just doesn't seem *cough*exploitation*cough* "right" about to do.

There have been NUMEROUS methods used before for Ilsh Champs Spawns and how to "creatively" complete them. None of them are particularly popular because, well, their Ilsh Champ Spawns.

Gosh, I knew it was shady - from a 'luring' perspective, but I had no idea this was considered an exploit. I figured as long as I wasn't killing anyone or disrupting someone else's gameplay, I was good.

Yeah, trust me, there have been tons of ways to exploit the game. Specially the PvM aspect of it.

In the end, it's still an Ilsh Champ Spawn, which won't draw much attention in the first place. Although other "creative" ways to get help with them have been fixed, this one would be a little harder to do.

And now, even though I know I can't do it without getting in trouble, I can't help but wonder how much more powerful Anceint Wyrms are going to be after this patch and what a super-powered paragon would do...

They really need to add alacrity scrolls to those spawns, I think
