![]() | It has been a long while... need your help.... Hello to all the Sonoma players out there. I used to play Priam, Sidiele, Legand (not legend), Darklok, Gamble and a few others on the Sonoma server. I was a proud member of Ordo Sylvanus and THB. I hope this post finds you all well. Over the last few days I have seriously considered returning to Sosaria. I have read many posts and researched how things are now in the game. But there is a problem. I have run into a snag reactivating my UO account. The account was created in 1997 and was my main account for years. The account was last used in 2005. I cannot recall important information about the account that is critical to its reactivation. Essentially Electronic Arts wants information that I cannot produce. They want my old email account address and my password. If I could remember my password I would not be having a problem to begin with. My email address was a temporary hotmail address that I no longer have. I cannot recall my password either. The operator (sounded like he was from a call center in a foreign country) then asked me for my Mondains Legacy code. LIKE I HAVE THAT HANDY!! I purchased the upgrade online and the code was sent.... you guessed it, to my email. They have escalated the inquiry to an account manager. I am sitting here wanting to return, but I am starting to get angry. I understand the need for account security, but after all this time they should have alternate ways to prove I am who I am. Ever heard of a secret question? Billing info? Payment CC numbers etc? Anyway, I hate to rant on my first post here in these lovely forums. If anyone can think of any way I can get help from EA, let me know. I hope to join you all soon. ~ Priam |

Ahh, They should be able to help you out but you need to know the name of the account, not the password and the complete credit card number which was used for the last billing cycle. That is all I needed when I reactivate an old account. ![]() Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment |

They wanted the email address of the account. I had used a temporary hotmail account when I had an email isp problem and I have forgotten that address now. I have all of the other information, billing address, credit card number and so on. But they told me that they could not help me and elevated the problem to a supervisor. I really want to come back and play, but this all hinges on how I am treated by customer service. If I am treated poorly, I think I will pass and move on.... ~ Priam | |

That makes no sense, the information I listed above was all I needed for one of my old accounts. Customer service as always sucked. Only thing I can suggest is call again maybe you will get a better service rep (but I doubt it) or you could drop a email to jeremy (she is the community coordinator) at jdalberg@ea.com. ![]() | Re: It has been a long while... need your help.... I did get my account reinstated, but not without a considerable amount of work. It seems EA deleted my billing information, so my credit card information did no good in helping to identify myself as the account owner. I was called by an account supervisor who spent about fifteen minutes asking me questions. He was finally convinced that I was infact the owner of the account. I am just happy to have it back.
