Be it known that the Court has arrived at a decision on the case of the People V. Maximus Meridus.

Court was adjourned, promptly at 1700 on May 13.

Since no one arrived to speak on behalf of the defendant and he refuses to appear before the court, I had no option but to render a decision based upon the evidence previously given. I carefully weighed the evidence presented to this court.

I find the defendant, Maximus Meridus, guilty of negligent destruction of property.
I hereby decree that he should replace the fish that died due to his negligence.
These replacement fish shall be placed in such a manner as to allow access by
those that assist in the well being of said fish. This should be done within sixty days.

I also find the defendant quilty of evading and alluding justice. While this matter should have been settled quickly, it has become drawn out and irksome. I hereby order that Maximus Meridus must pay a fine of 100,000 Gold to Bishop Xavier of Darkmoor. The Bishop will then use this money for the benefit of the people. How said money is used should be made public knowledge to the people of Sonoma. If the Bishop wishes to not be involved then the money should be paid to myself. I will then donate the money to an establishment or establishments with a proven track record for benefiting the people. This too would be made public knowledge.

Until such time as these conditions are met, Maximus Meridus is considered Persona Non Grata. Let no person hold him in esteem or regard until he meets the conditions listed above. Tis a shame that he lacked the moral fiber to face the charges. Depsite my anger at his lackidsical behaviour, this court has tried it's best to remain fair in it's judgement.

Anyone involved has thirty days to appeal the decision.
