Tokuno behaviour shame thread!

Post your pics..add to it..here is the best brought out of people.

First pic,

This has been the scene at the champion spawn area for the past 48 hours or so:

R^A doesn't seem to think anyone else minds dozens of EVs all over the place. The best part is how the people casting the EVs can't be bothered to stay on the same screen.

I have a few others so far. Some of the foaming mouth fits people have thrown so far have been somewhat amusing. I've had to dodge about 20 lured rune beetles so far as well. Glad to see we're all mature players, especially in Trammel.

I'm not a mage, and I hate lazy EV mages, but I don't see the problem. That's pretty standard champ spawn procedure. The first two stages of the spawn are all trash that people just want to get rid of quickly, and the last two involve too many tough monsters for people to worry about "that's your kill, but this is mine" and so forth.

In either case, it's basically a free-for-all where most of the mages probably can't tell which of the 400 vortexes belong to them.

I am a mage and I did cast ev's last night when at the Tokuno champ spawn,

HOWEVER ,we moved on as it was too slow for us,and I dispelled my ev's before leaving.

I would not leave them there for the risk they attacked a player 'orange' to us.

Its not hard to do, you just drag up their bars once cast and hey presto

I do the same when in a dungeon too, I never just leave them there

EVs are just another way to hunt. Each template is good vs something or some method of hunting.

The only thing i tend to find funny is when people whine about taking turns in certain places. I can see that was a fair point in the days gone by when loot wasnt split down so it was the fastest conn guy...or the guy running looting macros that got all the loot.
But nowadays the loot is split anyways so theres no real need unless you want to take into consideration the effects of luck.

Crapping EVs all over an area isn't "hunting". These same people probably whined when a limit was placed on the number of EVs they could cast to begin with.

You do know how the Tokuno rewards are distributed, yes? And how that must be affected by that portion of the playerbase which can't interact with the rest beyond the maturity of a 2 year old, yes? This has always been the underlying flaw of Trammel but.. *shrugs*..oh well.

Re: Tokuno behaviour shame thread!

I believe this is just a symptom of a larger problem. In the "old days", we were taught by our guilds how to act when we went hunting. This meant that, if a person was hunting in an area that supported only one person, you left and came back later. If you were hunting in an area with other hunters, you did not attack what they were attacking unless you were asked to help. If you were in a nasty spawn area, you did your best to help rez and heal those that fell during battle. These are just a few rules that were taught to us and we, in turn, taught to the new folks. Something has been lost now. The unspoken rules are constantly broken. I think guilds should be more responsible and set down hunting and general guidelines for their members like we used to. Simple rules: No griefing, no bad mouthing, no spawn hogging, etc. In general, don't do things that will interrupt other players who are playing by the rules and are just trying to have fun.

Oh well, I guess there's not enough lesser hiryu or kappa or kaze kemono to go around.

*sigh* Makes me yearn for the days when the stakes were lower.

Re: Tokuno behaviour shame thread!

SmokenJoe is absolutely right. Seems liek a lot of newer players have no sense of repsect anymore. The funny thing is at a recent Tokuna champ spawn I was rezzing EVERYONE who died. Not one thx. When I finally died, I had to Q a guildie to rez even when the champ spawn was done. I still rez people, but i remember who is an @$$ and who is not.

Re: Tokuno behaviour shame thread!

I agree with everyone here but there is a big difference from the old days and now. People don't respect one another in RL so why would that be any different in a game? I agree with those "unspoken rules"... absolutely... but there are even older players that do not "keep it all in good fun" so let's not a point a finger at the newer players only. Ignorance is Bliss... people are going to do what they want to do and that includes grief, spawn hog and be a huge pain in the rear no matter what.

Re: Tokuno behaviour shame thread!

True, but the key is knowing how to counter-grief better.

"Oh, this is 'your' IDOC?" *gates to the bank every 30 seconds*

"Oh, this is 'your' rune beetle spawn?" *brings guild, equips guild with beetle slayer talismans*

I only do things like this when it's called for. After Little Timmy launches his "go away noe this is my spwn goaway" attack, for example. As he's claiming everything in the surrounding 20 screens is "his" since he's running around crapping EVs all over the place.
