I know what you mean.. the Diabetic meds seem to be the ones I can't get 'samples' of anymore. The nurse at my Dr said it was the new Medicare rules fault. Medical companies used to provide such to give needy patients until the new rules came out and something in them looked like it was a legal issue if they gave away stuff.... Morons who "fixed" medicare should have to live with their deeds. Am not old enough yet for medicare, but it still makes me mad that they 'fixed' it, in spite of the warnings from everyone that it would be a mess.

Snowy, did you try any of the sites/numbers I listed? I know a lot of people who are able to get meds for free or at a very low cost thru some of them. Granted, starting the process can be a hassle, but in the long term it is worth it.

One of those, I can't remember which one, will charge you $5 to do everything for you. They handle all the paperwork, communication between your doc and the company, etc. If you have a spare five bucks, it is worth it.

I guess it's a matter of perverse pride for me. We aren't being badly deprived by buying my meds .. yet... and I know there are MANY who really need the help more than we do.... silly huh... :embarasse Guess I feel like if I take help, it might keep someone needier from having it. If Hubby keeps having less work available, that just might have to change.
