Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

Ohhhhh Yew is a Hard Hometown... At least it was for me. No smiths, so can't train Smith.. no Tailor.. LOL.... First thing I did when I had one spring up in Yew was head for Britain as fast as I could run!... I remember my first 'run' from my home North of Minoc to Yew. Can't remember why.. just that I kept running down that road heading for safety and watching out for anything bigger than a rat!

Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

After stepping into the world of Sosaria a kindred spirit by the name of Raven welcomed me into his home in Malas until I was ready to venture into the world alone. Right outside Lord Blackthorns castle in Britain was my first little cottage. I loved that spot and it was with bittersweet feelings that I moved farther out between Britain and Cove. It was right on the water and welcomed many a new player after me. My first home will always be my first love of Britain and always just a short walk away from the mage shop and training my skills.

Man I'm such a newb, Haven is where I grew up, battling mongbats and horde minions for the first week I played, and let me tell you, everytime I kill one now it's payback for that rocky first week.

Britiain here.
My cousin and I used to get our armour from a local smith who sat around the britiain smithy
Damn, does anyone remember those days? Where warriors used to wear full plate and smiths used to hang out at the smithy waiting for orders?

Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

Haven is a great place to call home. I used to spend a lot of time there and still make it a regular stop for some things. "if only" they had a stable, the environment for training up from new would be perfect.

I also used to head straight for Britain, since it had 'everything'. The drawback was always the lag around the bank area, so I used to recall in over by the West Bridge park area.. I also made my banking stops at the East Bank, even though that meant extra walking around, just to avoid the lag by the West Bank.

One of my favorite cities is Nu'Jelm. It's a beautiful place, but not terribly useful for some skill training types. It's also a great spot to do your hurry up banking when you have been out hunting: almost like drive through banking so you can drop in and out quickly.

Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

My home town was Britain and I was a warrior. A friend of mine was a bard and told me a good way to make money (he heard from someone else) was to be a blacksmith. So, I spent a few coins to buy some training and tried to get a job. I would ask the black smiths in the area "Can I have some work?"..."Can I have a job?"...."Is there any task I can do?"....For a few days I did this until Memnoch asked me what I was doing and I explained. I was talking to NPC's as if they were real people. He led me to a friend of his named Ash (an Aussie) and they let me join the Army of Darkness...a silly little guild but a good one. Sorry, I rambled. Britain is my hometown!

Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

There's a ton of places which aren't used, which would be put to GOOD use
Especially some of the nicely done towns like Nujelm and Trinsic.

Re: What is your 'Hometown'?

I talked to NPCs several times that first week or so. Kept saying pardon me.. and Hello... I think I dropped something on one once and the canned response made me think someone was "in' there.. I guess truth be told we all must have at least thought about it early on before we figured things out.
