I first started playing UO almost four years ago when my oldest son gave me one of his accounts as a birthday present and paid the subscription for me (for about 2.5 years; I admit, I am spoiled rotten ). He guided me in my character creation and training, showing me how use the training dummies and get my strength/dex/int up where I wanted them; how to get the best gains and paid out his hard earned UO money for supplies and armor for me as well.

Once I got my first two characters well on the road to self-sufficiency, he 'footed' the bill for a small marble for me to live in. (He had shared his own log cabin, then his sandstone beachhouse with me for a year by then.) Then he asked me "the" question.... He was preparing a webpage for the characters of the guild he helped create years ago: 8*V and for the pages he wanted bios for each character. The 'Question' was "What is your Hometown?"

Ayleta, my first made character, chose Trinsic as her home. Since the 'storyline' I had created for her involved being washed up in a strange new world with her two younger sisters, it seemed a logical choice. The second sister, Snowy the Sorceress and third sister, Graianne the Smith naturally called it home too.

So now I put it to you: Citizens of the Lands of Sosaria, "What is your hometown and how did you come to be there?"

Britian.
Never saw another town except Minoc(which I ran to after about 3 months in britian).
Then my Axer Mage started exploring(I was mainly mining back then).

Minoc
I started off mining in Minoc and it's the first town I saw so I call that home

I was born in Moonglow. My first house was a tiny shack out by Yew, but I didn't like it. So I moved into a villa on the edge of the swamps by Trinsic.

I'd have to say Moonglow, even if my house is just outside Britain at the moment. I started off in Moonglow and that was where I stayed until I had a house.

Moonglow is still the only town where I know what every building is. I know most of scara brae and about a quarter of Britain, but Moonglow is the town where I know I can find whatever I'm looking for without running into half a dozen buildings first. Whenever I create a character on a different shard I always start off in Moonglow still, and no matter where I finish up, I automatically head back to Moonglow inn, even if I was right next to a different inn before.

I've lived by Scara Brae, Minoc, and now I live by Britain, but Minoc I still don't know at all, and I only know a section of west Britain. Scara Brae is the closest of the three to being a hometown, but I still always end up in Moonglow

Britain because the guy that got my husband and I addicted to UO said that was the center of the world and we needed to learn our way around Brit before we went anywhere else. I think I spent 4 months in Britain before I even ventured out and tried to run to Skara Brae. I was pk'd just past the mountain passage

Moonglow was my hometown for the longest time. I started there and lived there. I ventured out from the Britain moongate once, died from a spider and promptly went back to Moonglow.

I never had a house there and lived in the Inn, but it was my hometown

Funny. I've spent a lot of time in both Minoc and Moonglow, but never lived in either. Delucia is where I would choose to live if I could, but since that is out of the question..... I have had a home near the Northern Coast above Minoc.. (never figured out why they say its North of Minoc.. it's North of most everything!) One on Fire Island Beach, One in the woods North West of Trinsic, one South East of Luna across that first long bridge... and now East of Luna... My favorite is still the one in Trinsic Woods... but the spot was too small... and I am a pack rat. :embarasse Yep... would live in Delucia if I could... I've spent more time there than anywhere else.
