While there were important matters to discuss last night, voices were hushed at the Albatross Bar and Grill in Haven. I'd spent a long afternoon, and week before gathering leather of all sorts for the Summer Festival coming up next week in Delucia. No sooner had I bought my beer, than it got lost in my bottomless bag. I proceeded to unload hides and what did I find under the uncut spined, but my nice fresh bottle of beer. Oh was it good as I swigged it down in several enormous glugs.

Sometimes I caught words from the conversations around me such as "horrid High Council" "first we need a King" and "we're with you Lady Tingle". Seemed like folks were pretty upset about all the who ha in the last week. With the trial coming up (although I'm not sure of who) this Monday many were ready to talk about change.

I don't know what will come of it all. I do know I've had my fill of Lords and Ladies with hifalutin talk that never means anything, or changes meaning from one minute to the next. I'd like to see a stop to it.

As my thoughts rambled on I found myself even more tired and drifted off into a deep slumber. I could hear one voice and another mumbling on and had vivid dreams of needing more leather, piles and piles of leather stacked to the roof of my house. Oh it was too much and I awoke with a startle.

Most people had left for the evening, but Lady Meliadoul Tingel was sitting by my side. We laughed over humorous doings of Lords and Ladies in court while wishing all to go well in the next week. I plan to be there, and I hope you come to, so you know for yourself what a mess the High Council's gotten into now.
