![]() | 184TH High Council Meeting The High Council met on Monday evening at 9:00 in Maginica's Parliamentary Rooms. I was there to observe the discussion and hopefully meet a few more citizens of Lake Superior. Before the official meeting began I overheard some rather loud discussion between Graz'zt Liadon and Lord Singlarad about the Guard. Graz'zt Liadon raised the question saying, "now that the Council has se the guard free, will bsr be protecting the Council?" Lord Singlarad laughed and replied "Most certianly if its n necessary". Graz'zt agreed that they would be in good hands. An agreeable conclusion to a subject that could have lead to difficulties. Lord Buzz Aldridge acted as the Council moderator and called the meeting to order. There were only four council members present, as others are away on summer retreats with family. Without a quorum of Council members present items could be discussed but not voted or taken action upon. Lord Singlarad announced his intention to call up an army to bring the dark facet back under control of the council. From the whispers and remarks of other Council members it seemed as though Lord Singlarad is one who enjoys a battle and fighting his enemies. After the end of the meeting I happened to overhear Graz'zt Liadon talking to Lord Singlarad and proposing an idea that each city could remove the "thugs, theives and murderers" without a need to establish an army. Lord Singlarad seemed to disagree lightheartedly. The second Council member to come before the Council was Lady Wysteria. She was looking for Farmer Ham with a gift of three bushels of turnips. The turnips were in return for damage to Farmer Ham's turnip patch by a very large pig. Farmer Ham and his relations could not be found so Locus Ceruleus volunteered to store the turnips in his root cellar until the next meeting. Lord Joe of the High Guards announced that their search for Lady Phoebe was not going well. There was distress amongst several councilors and citizens at this dire news. Lord Joe indicated that he and the High Guards would keep up the search, and all wished them well in their efforts. The next meeting date was set for July 17th at 9 o'clock CST, same place. For some reason unknown to him a meeting could not be held on July 3rd. And with that announcement the meeting was closed. My observations are those of a green reporter. None of what I've recorded here should be taken as official Council meeting minutes. The public is invited to all meetings, and I hope to see you there on the 17th. |
